I would recommend students to join this college.
Placements: Almost 80-95% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA to 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered ranges between 2 and 3 LPA. Wipro, Samsung, Airtel, etc., were the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms were spacious and well-ventilated. Digital projectors were available for presentations. There was a huge library for students. The canteen and mess facilities were good. The food quality was good at affordable prices, and food delivery was also available.
Faculty: All teachers and non-teaching staff members were very knowledgeable. The teaching method was better. Semester exams were difficult, and the passing percentage was 35%.

I had a wonderful 4 years of experience.
Placements: Even during the pandemic, almost 50% of the students got placed from here. The highest salary package offered is unknown. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Bosch and Autoliv had visited the campus. Every student got an internship as it was compulsory. Graduate engineer trainee was the highest role offered.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and library were air-conditioned and were best in class here. Wi-Fi access was limited. The hostel was the best with an attached bathroom. There were 2 and 3 sharing options. The mess also serves food on time. The campus had a gym facility, and it also had a visiting doctor.
Faculty: The teachers here were adequately qualified. Their teaching quality was good. The course curriculum is prescribed by VTU, and hence it's the same for all engineering colleges. A few new subject electives were relevant to current industry trends. The difficulty of exams was high and low depending on the subject. The pass percentage was above average.
Other: I chose this course because mechanical engineering is evergreen. The best thing about this course was the amount of problem-solving involved. More practicals need to be included in this course, and the curriculum must give equal weightage to all activities instead of only final exams. The fest was the best part of the college. It had lots of celebrity concerts and was an enjoyable experience.

I am satisfied with the good placements, infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: The percent of students placed in our college is good, but not in all branches especially in the mechanical branch. We have a special Japan salary package where students go to places like Japan and other countries where the salary package offered starts around 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel is neat and tidy. We have a laundry facility and good hostel food. Being a student these are mandatory in any hostel. The cleanliness is up to the point, and wardens are always there. Security guards are a bit overrated cause they act unusually. Overall it is fantastic.
Faculty: Faculty members are sometimes good sometimes worst. But there is no discrimination among students. The helping staff is of very use. Professors are of high potential and people making use of them can take a lot of advantages to a great extend.
Other: Our college is a bit strict.

Review of MITE - Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering.
Placements: It is a good college for software engineers but is bad for mechanical, and civil engineers. The college is not fair as it takes 200 mechanical engineering students every year if they can't even place 30 in core companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, but you can't study in air-conditioned classrooms before exams. All the air-conditioners were switched off by the management during breaks. We were supposed to sit during breaks without air-conditioners and have lunch in a classroom without windows.
Faculty: Colleges affiliated to VTU are concerned about completing portions and nothing else. I won't blame lecturers but never join VTU as they are interested in completing the assignments which give zero knowledge. The college should give us quality assignments, and not quantity.
Other: Extracurricular activities like Baja, Formula, etc., were organised and I like them. But it was not possible for day scholars.
