Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) - Batch of 2023

One of the best colleges I pursued.
Placements: Our college doesn't provide any kind of placement opportunities from their side. Students are required to hunt for the job on their own. No dedicated placement cell is present there. No companies have approached yet in my knowledge. Some of my classmates, including me, went for a paid internship after the degree course. Some of the students were placed as software developers in some private companies with a stipend of 10 to 15 thousand rupees per month. The companies are Elon Software Services, Acadia Health Services, etc. Top roles offered include software engineer, software developer, etc.
Infrastructure: We have good classrooms. Wi-Fi facilities are limited to laboratories and the library. The library is small but has a decent amount of relevant books for our discipline. The college doesn't have hostel facilities. A limited number of outside students are present, and they depend on outside PG for accommodation. Various sports games like cricket, chess, badminton, etc., are encouraged there. The canteen is not enough to carry the needs of students as it is small in size and always crowded.
Faculty: Teachers are the assets of this college. Many highly qualified professors are present there. They teach students in the way they like. They are friendly as well as advanced. The course and curriculum are determined by the University of Calicut. It is relevant and has the capacity to make the students ready for the industry. Exams are sometimes difficult and sometimes easy. The minimum pass percentage is 40.
Other: I chose this course to become a software developer. I suggest my college provide better internship and placement opportunities to the students. Various events often take place in the college regarding cultural and academic activities. No scholarship schemes are available to the students. Various extracurricular activities take place here, like workshops and seminars.

One of the best colleges to pursue Bachelors in commerce.
Placements: About 50 percent of students were placed in many companies. The college does not have an independent placement cell. The students are required to find out their job themselves after course. The companies in which my friends got placed includes Areno Calicut, Reno tech Ltd., etc. The average package offered is 15,000 per month. The highest salary is 20,000. Major roles from my batch includes accountant, statistician, stock manager, etc.
Infrastructure: We had good classrooms and other basic facilities. Wi-Fi was limited to computer labs. The library was small, but it was rich with the books related to our college, which does not have a hostel facility as this is mainly focusing on rural local students. The canteen is small and is not adequate to feed the whole class. Sports and games such as volleyball, basketball, cricket, etc. are encouraged here.
Faculty: Teachers were one of the assets of our college. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was good. They are trained to use all the modern tools to ease the burden of our study. The course curriculum and syllabus are relevant to our discipline, and it does make the students ready for the industry. Exams are conducted in each semester by the university, and it is sometimes felt easy and sometimes moderately hard. Minimum pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I chose this course as this course offers good job opportunities after studies. Various events were conducted in our college each year, which includes both academics and culturals. Extracurricular activities such as seminars, webinars, and workshops are conducted rarely. The college is facing serious connectivity issues as the college is located remotely. Campus is small and is always crowded.

A college which support rural students to make their dream comes true.
Placements: The college has yet to establish a placement and training division, and the alumni network is not very active either. Students are responsible for finding job opportunities on their own. Many students from my batch pursued internships after completing the course and entering the industry. The college does not provide internship opportunities. Some of the top roles for our course include full-stack developer, computer engineer, and software developer.
Infrastructure: The college currently lacks a hostel facility, but it prioritizes local students, particularly rural girls from minority communities. Our classrooms are well-equipped, and the lab provides Wi-Fi access. While the college canteen is small and unable to cater to all students' needs, it maintains acceptable quality and cleanliness. Limited sports courts are available for football, cricket, and badminton. Although our library is small, it contains numerous relevant books for our field of study.
Faculty: The teachers at our school were highly competent and supportive. Many of them had extensive experience in the teaching field. The curriculum and syllabus were well-designed, with a strong emphasis on preparing students for the industry. Regular exams were held each semester, with a minimum passing percentage of 50%.
Other: I enrolled in this course with the aim of becoming a software developer. I recommend that my college expand the library and improve the facilities in the canteen. Enhancing the basic infrastructure will help attract students from outside. Throughout each semester, a range of events, including academic and cultural activities, were organized. Government scholarships were also available. However, I noticed a limited number of extracurricular activities, such as seminars and workshops, at this institution.

One of the best college in Calicut .
Placements: College does not provide any kind of placement assistance. College do not have a placement cell. It's required for the students to do the mandatory internship themselves from outside companies. Mostly student do some kind of 6 month courses in addition to Bachelors to secure a job. Mostly students are placed in locally situated companies like CAS Calicut, Intra Teach ltd etc. Mostly students are placed in roles such as statistician, surveyor etc.
Infrastructure: College is affiliated with the University of Calicut. College is located in a rural area. However the college has average facilities. Classrooms are vast and good. College has all the facilities like library, canteen and sports ground. Wi-Fi facility is limited to computer labs.
Faculty: Faculties are the one of the biggest assets of the college. There are many good teachers available. They are knowledgeable and they interfere correctly in all the student affair. Curriculum and syllabus is relevant to this time and it does makes students ready for the industry. Exams are conducted in each semesters and are moderate and easy to crack. Minimum pass percentage is 50.
Other: I chose this course to become a statistician in a reputed company. I suggest my college to improve the quality of service they provide as well as to improve their teaching strategies. Many events both academics and cultural take place here. As the college is situated in rural area, there are connectivity issues. College campus is full of vibe and it seems to be crowded always.

One of the best colleges in Calicut .

The library is small but it contains many relevant books for our discipline. The college doesn't provide any hostel facilities. The canteen is small and it can't accommodate more than 30 students at a time. The college doesn't provide any health care facilities on its own. A limited number of sports and games, like cricket, badminton and volleyball, are encouraged here.

Most of the students from our batch went for higher studies. The minimum salary is 10,000. The average salary is 15,000 per month. Infrastructure: The college does not provide hostel facilities for boys or girls. The college provides an average classroom setup. It also provides a decent computer lab facility. The library is vast and it contains many books related to our syllabus and industry. No medical facilities are offered by the college. The mess and canteen are limited, with few facilities. It can hardly include 50 students at a time. Various games, such as cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, etc., are encouraged here.
Faculty: The teachers are good and their way of teaching is good. They are clearly following the rules of college in every aspect. The teaching is done in a convenient way and they are able to convey the messages clearly to the students. However, they are not taking classes fully in English. The curriculum is not very hard and it is job-oriented. Semester exams are much harder, and almost all students are getting pass marks.
Other: I chose this course because I was keenly interested in computer programming. I hardly suggest college management provide better lab facilities and placement opportunities. Various events, such as cultural and academic ones, are held here each year.
