It is the best college for designing courses.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are amazing, especially faculty for FD, FC and TD courses are amazing. They are the perfect combination of teachers, parents and friends, which you will find in some teachers. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students' industry-ready. The semester exam system is not conducted here, as it has a jury system.

Review of NiFT kangra and it's life.

Faculty: The teachers are great but curriculum can be improved upon. For certain courses the curriculum doesn't provide as much exposure and industry experience, as much required. Also, taking up extra subjects is kind of an inconvenience as they were introduced to lighten the academic burden but have become a burden themselves.

It is a great college with good placement opportunities. It is located in a beautiful place.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and helpful, and most of them are the alumni of our college. They use practical teaching methods like presentations and also verbal. The student to faculty ratio is 30:1. Industry exposure is provided by the faculty in Delhi. The course curriculum is very useful.

My college was an amazing experience of my life. I will do it again if I get a chance.

Faculty: The faculty of my subjects were not good at all. They knew nothing and also kept personal grudges with the students at times. Whereas, rest of the faculty members are really nice and open to ideas given by children. The curriculum is good. But, the matter is how and with what perception and idea, the teachers are teaching it to you. The clarity in every subject is really important. So, the teacher needs to work on that.

Awesome life in NIFT with best teachers, best surrounding. I miss that place.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified. Most of the teachers were master's from NIFT with an industrial experience of 5 years or more. Teaching was mostly practical not theoretical, which is the dire need other colleges must follow. 600 students and 60 teachers were there. Timely industrial trips were taken in Delhi NCR, Ludhiana area. Fashion shows in Pragati Maidan could be attended by NIFT admit card. It is a very rare moment to get in touch with people from Bollywood.

This college provides a once in a lifetime career.

Faculty: The faculty is awesome than the other colleges. Their teaching quality is good. The faculty has a good ratio. We get enough number of industry exposures because of its closeness to Delhi. During the internships, there are no boundaries. We can explore as much as we can. Everything else is always your initiative.

Dissatisfied because of the infrastructure and placements.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful. The teaching quality is fine. The teaching methods include presentations and verbal teaching. Industry and local market exposure was also provided. The student to faculty ratio was 30:1. The faculty members for all the subjects in our curriculum was in the college itself. The guest faculty was not required.

It is a good campus with very supporting and good teachers and staff members.

Faculty: All the faculty members are highly qualified and professional. The course curriculum is very good which starts with the basic understanding of design in foundation programme. In the 2nd year, you can join your chosen course and study specialisation in it. There are many trades which offer different courses in B.des like fashion communication, accessory design, textile design, fashion design and leather design.

The college still has a very long way to go. Being only a few batches old, it is yet to establish a solid campus culture. Also, the infrastructure being built at a slow rate hampers education for students a lot. Further, Kangra as a city doesn't provide a very good environment for fashion education. The good side is that there is McLeod Ganj close by which can serve as a great place to inspire designers, and also add something different to their portfolios (eg. Landscape and fashion photography ...

Good college overall but teaching and curriculum not up to the mark

Faculty: I do not find the faculty up to the mark. Some do not have adequate knowledge, some are very lenient. The college has a little laidback attitude. Students generally have to source materials from nearby big cities such as Delhi, Chandigarh etc. The environment is not very competitive.

I love my college. Everything is perfect just need some improvements in infrastructure.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified as well as helpful in every way. Also, they are really friendly so we don't have to think or scare about asking something from them. The curriculum has changed a lot which gives students a great exposure including the industrial visits and research we got to do.
