B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2025

It has good infrastructure, well-qualified faculty members, and average placements.
Placements: Our 7th semester is completed, but only 50% of students got placed. The average salary package offered is more than 15 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 53 LPA by Google on-campus. The lowest minimum salary package offered is 3 LPA. An internship is not offered in our course. In our course, the top role is offered by NXP at a salary package of 24 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities are above average, and the infrastructure is growing well. The Wi-Fi facility is good. It has good classrooms, and the library is good. Mess food is average. It also provides other facilities like washing machines, corridor cleaning, etc. A canteen is there. There is a medical facility.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is average. Case topics are old instead of trending topics, so I cannot say whether it makes the students industry-ready or not. Students have to prepare on their own to become industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult. The pass percentage is more than 90%.
Other: I did not choose this course, and I got this course from my JEE Main ranking.

B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2028

Rest life is good here just like any other government college.
Placements: Average placements I would say this year due to the recession in the IT market, but better than any other private or semi-private college out there definitely. It provides a good and stable platform to reach out to top companies, and the rest lies on the capability of the student.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good in comparison with other government colleges but of course less attractive than private colleges as they spend Lacs on infrastructure and marketing only. Hostels are average, like any other government, but livable and with good food, but you will definitely miss home-cooked food.
Faculty: There is no benefit to studying from the college teachers; just complete the attendance criteria and work on your skills, along with keeping a decent CGPA side by side. Just start studying 2-3 days before exams. Rest, work on your skills and focus on extracurricular activities.
Other: Try choosing a higher branch like CSE, IT or ECE. Don't go below it.

Review of National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar.
Placements: This year I. e 2024 placements were not good. Companies like Amazon, google did not visit our campus. The highest oncampus package was 19 Lacs offered by Oracle. Top recruiting companies for CSE were Oracle, BPCL for the SDE roles. Internship percentage was also less only 14 students got internship in Microsoft. No other company visited for internships. The lowest package was 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities- Wi-Fi is available in hostels and CSE department also it has a good range. The hostels for the first year students are not at all good. They are 4 sharing which makes it really difficult to study as there is no reading room also and the in-time is very less so you cant go to library also. For the 2nd-4th year girls, hostel is good. The mess food is good. Library conditions are not at all good. In one side of the library even fan is not there, which makes it really difficult to study in summer. They don't give conducive conditions for students to study. Like we have one lab called CC lab in which students can study after their classes but irony is that "no charge is allowed" because according to some gentleman who is in-charge there, "students pull the charging board out while plugging out their charges". How are the students going to study? They have opened a new library also which open from 9am-5pm. Classes timing are 8:30 am-5:30 pm. Like what's the point?
Faculty: Teachers are neither helpful nor knowledgeable. Teaching quality is really poor. No concept is ever cleared. They all have a lot of ego. Course curriculum is outdated and not at all makes us industry ready. Like we are taught "microprocessors" in 2024! Semester exams level is okay but some teachers have a habit of setting up a difficult question paper and not giving marks thereafter.

Comprehensive review of NIT Jalandhar : Academics, Campus life and Opportunities.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in the year 2024 was 86.3%. The highest package offered in the year 2024 was 52 Lacs per annum. The average package offered in the year 2024 was 13 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are Adobe, Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, TCS, and many more, which offer good placement to the students. More than 50% of students got internships in the year 2024.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available are as follows: 1) Well-equipped labs which help the students to increase the practical knowledge of their respective fields. 2) A very good level of Wi-Fi connection. 3) Classrooms and library are well-furnished. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is very hygienic and healthy. Sports and games facilities are very good, which will help the students to develop their fitness.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their respective fields. The teachers help the students to get in-depth knowledge of the respective subject. The course is highly relevant, which helps the students to get ready for industry needs. The semester exams are quite difficult.
Other: I chose this course in order to follow my passion in the field of mathematics and computing.

Satisfied with the college. Above-average placements and really good seniors as well.
Placements: Placement of Mechanical engineering department is 100% this year the highest Package 18 LPA and the lowest one 5 LPA 20-30% students got internship this year. Most of students got placement by PPO and internships. I don't remember correctly the names of top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, two libraries, and classrooms are available inside the campus, with 24-hour access to one of the libraries. Facilities of hostels are good. Medical facilities are excellent. Sports facilities are also excellent in hostels as well as in the sports complex.
Faculty: Some teachers are excellent. Some are average as well in terms of explanation. In terms of knowledge, they are good too. Yes, some courses are relevant, but some seem to be irrelevant as well. Semester exams are difficult in this college. You need to give time to studies to gain good marks. The pass percentage differs from subject to subject. Overall, 80-90% of students pass (given they don't get detained).
Other: Events and fests are good as well. Scholarship facilities are also there. Good sporting events are held there.

Less placement but good college life.
Placements: The placement scenario for the 2024 batch has been quite average. Approximately 33% of the students have secured placements. This average placement rate underscores the programme and it need to be improved in upcoming future. The highest package offered to a student from this batch was impressive 18 Lacs per annum. This reflects that the highest package is good. On the there hand the lowest package is 7 Lacs per annum which is also quite satisfying, mostly the students were placed in IT sector and very less core companies came er.
Infrastructure: The college features state-of-the-art lecture halls equipped with multimedia projectors, audio- visual aids, and comfortable seating chair, our college also had advanced laboratories and have all the machines, but many machines were old and not in working conditions. So the need of new machines is required in our institute overall the hostels and campus is quite good.
Faculty: Exams are known for their rigour, testing not only student's knowledge but also very hard to pass here. The exams are easy, but the checking of answers sheet is relatively very hard to pass the examination, so the professors here use the concept of relatively marking criteria and grading, and moderation of grades take place here in order to pass the students otherwise the pass percentage is less than 70%. The professors are knoweldgeful and helpful when reach to them. But many professors are strict here so be careful.
