This college is way behind the other colleges in terms of placement.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were qualified and knowledgeable. But they were not quite helpful except a few. Teaching quality was good. The course curriculum was relevant. Various industrial visits and simulator training in Faridabad was an important part of their curriculum which made students industry-ready.

Realities of the Unknown!

Faculty: Probably the most unique course in core engineering you can come across, as it spanned everything from mechanical to electrical to electronics and of course, a deep dive into power plants. The degree of familiarisation one develops with boilers turbines and generators is really up to the mark and helps a lot in the industry.

A reputed college known for producing great power engineers.

Faculty: NPTI has a range of very experienced and knowledgeable permanent and visiting faculty members who have been associated with the college from ages. They also have substantial industry experience. The teaching methods were basic chalk and board, but the college has a well-stocked library. Faculty members provide freedom to students to take up projects if they wish.

The infrastructure of our college is good.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. They help us not only with our mental preparation but also involve us in different physical activities. They help us with the understanding of different concepts (not only technical but our real life also). We are really grateful to our faculty members.

Placements scenario is good as one will get a core companies.

Faculty: Teachers were moderately good. Talking about, it is a combination of both electrical, mechanical. Practical knowledge like industry exposure is awesome because in 6th semester college arranged a one month industrial visit for all the students to get a practical knowledge of what we studied in power engineering.

A short review on National Power Training Institute.

Faculty: We have plenty of well-qualified teachers. They are PhD holders, M.Tech graduates, researchers. Directors of our college are well known. We have 20 teachers and lab assistants. We have certified alumni to help the students. The course curriculum is not that good but not bad. It is well-organised.

A really good institute to get placed in core sector.

Faculty: The teachers are really helpful. Also renowned external faculty members visit the campus to teach. Powerplant (industrial) visits are organised by the college where students gain practical knowledge. The course curriculum though is mainly focused on coal based power plant and focus on renewable energy resources is less.

Placements pick up last pace in 2018.

Faculty: There are average faculty members with loads of power plant experience. Quality of guest faculty for the third and final year is above par, while the quality of teaching by the contract faculty is substandard. However, core subjects of power plant equipment, operation and maintenance are taught quite well. And the curricula includes training to help increase the practical knowledge.

B.Tech in PWE stream in all NPTIs has closed from last year, which is a dark side of power engineer.

Faculty: A few faculty members were extremely good. I think the qualification doesn't matter and delivering the knowledge is main, which is less for the faculty members on the campus. There were limited faculty members on the campus. The student to faculty ratio is 240:15, including the director. We got the opportunity to visit many power plants, summer training, project training, etc. Our stream was power engineering. We divided in mechanical or electrical as our choice from the 3rd year, and it was col...

When you think of what you got after the four years, it is less indeed but could be improved.

Faculty: The teaching was good, especially if you are attending regular classes from second year onwards, you get to learn all the basics, even teachers most of them I felt friendly. Student were all total 240 in all four years included, and teachers were around 12, so it wasn't that bad. The industry exposure was good as we got two visits at least during the last two years. If you grab the basics of the power plant, you can as well get that exposure in the site visit. The course curriculum will be usefu...

Need to upgrade the infrastructure which is in a phase of implementation. The placements are good.

Faculty: The faculty is very knowledgeable and qualified. Most of them are holding PhD degrees. Some of them had spent their early life in power plants and the industry. It helps the student to acquire knowledge on more practical challenges on site and in process. Many visits to power plants in order to make students well aware of the industry. The course structure is arranged in such way that each power engineer should have ample knowledge of both mechanical and electrical aspects, but they can choose a...

Placement and campus life are awesome, you will build a good career and create lots of memories here

Faculty: Faculty members are so friendly that anyone can talk to them and share their problems and doubts without any hesitation. Most of them are from the top colleges of our country. They always encourage students to do more and they use audio-visual teaching techniques. As most of the faculty members are experienced in the field of power engineering, their knowledge will help students to achieve their goals.

One of the best for power engineering

Faculty: The class teaching is mainly theoretical and industry-oriented. Most of our professors have doctorates and M.Tech degrees, and they are very helpful. The student-faculty ratio is 8:1. We have high industry exposure with almost all students undergoing training at major companies.

Satisfactory college. College has seen 100% placement till 2014. Better in 2017 compared to 15&16.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are friendly and knowledgeable. They help in different aspects of the college career. Even the students get to avail the facility of smart class. Second year onwards, plant visits are organised. Third-year students get to train in powerplants as vocational training. Regular plant visits and practicals are very much encouraged.

Average infrastructure and faculty.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members are not good, barring a few. Some teachers are knowledgable while most of the teachers are not good. The students are taught both with the help of audio-visual as well as conventional teachings. The student-faculty ratio is 60:1. We get industry exposure from the 3rd year itself. The curriculum is useful and helps in familiarization for the beginners.
