Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

It has good placements and a good student culture.
Placements: Netaji Subhash University of Technology (NSUT) has an outstanding placement record. About 80-90% of students get placed in top companies like Google, Microsoft, Ola, Tata, and Maruti Suzuki. The university also facilitates international placements, providing students with global opportunities. The highest salary package offered ranges from 2-3 crores per annum, and the average salary package offered is 20 LPA, which is impressive. NSUT has a dedicated placement cell, which ensures students are prepared for rewarding careers, reflecting the institution and commitment to excellence. With such remarkable achievements, NSUT continues to be a preferred choice for students aiming for success in engineering and technology fields.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Netaji Subhash University of Technology (NSUT) is excellent and meticulously maintained, providing an ideal environment for academic and personal growth. The campus is equipped with modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, and a well-stocked library to support innovative learning. Our college also has spacious lecture halls, high-speed internet connectivity, and cutting-edge research facilities to further enhance the educational experience. The university also boasts well-maintained sports grounds, recreational areas, and hostels that cater to the overall development of students. Green space and clean surroundings create a peaceful atmosphere, making it a highly conducive place for learning. NSUT's infrastructure truly reflects its commitment to providing quality education for students.
Faculty: In my experience, faculty members at Netaji Subhash University of Technology (NSUT) are not particularly supportive or approachable towards students, and I found it a bit disappointing. Their teaching methods are average. They focused more on completing the syllabus than engaging students with practical applications or interactive learning. The course curriculum, though comprehensive, could benefit from a more industry-oriented approach to bridge the gap between academics and professional requirements. Exams are conducted regularly and are moderately challenging. They provide theoretical knowledge rather than practical skills. Overall, there is room for improvement in the faculty-student dynamic and the teaching methodology.
Other: There are various events and fun activities that keep students engaged with each other and societies connect various students with each other.

If you are considering admission here - Read this.
Placements: From what I have heard in my time at this institute, the placements are pretty well if we have good grades i.e., at least 8+ then we can secure a decent job in a well-known company. We do have to work much harder here as compared to the IITs but I still believe this institute is far better than the new generation IITs in terms of exposure, opportunities, and network.
Infrastructure: The hostel has all the basic amenities like any other college. The food is also good. The hostel and mess fee combined is a few thousand rupees more than IITs but I do not mind that much. The only drawback is that the hostels do have a curfew time which sometimes seems a little too early. Labs are all well-equipped for my course.
Faculty: Teachers are all very well qualified and knowledgeable. The exam cycle is designed in a way that the student does not feel unnecessary pressure. The weightage is also well distributed with the end semester to hold 50, mid-semester 20, internal 2 CTS -20, and assessment 10 (varies for courses with laboratories.
Other: The cultural fest is the biggest in Delhi after IIT Delhi. It spans over 3 days with India's top artist from bollywood and modern day musicians coming to the event and performing. The societies are too many and you cant possibly even join all there are so many. So plenty of options to find your interests.

SEE before you believe in words.
Placements: Placement and internship opportunities are great here. Many companies come every year to the college, like Microsoft, Google, Sprinklr, etc. The highest package was 63 LPA, and the average package for CSE is 16-22 LPA. 70 percent of students are placed by the college, and it provides multiple opportunities according to your skills.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs for my course are nice and air-conditioned. Wi-Fi is available too. The library is air-conditioned with enough space for many students, and it has a vast collection of books. You can sit there to use your laptop or books to study calmly.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and helpful in every way. Teaching quality is good here. The course curriculum is relevant and ensures that you learn to implement things practically, making sure that you are fit for the industry. The pass percentage is pretty high, and the difficulty level is a bit above average.
Other: Computer Science faculty is great, and the college provides excellent placement and internship opportunities. Two fests are conducted in the college: the annual fest called Moksha-Inovision and another fest called Resonaz, which is conducted in October.

Absolutely satisfied, similar to NIT. All facilities are available but 85% seats are for Delhities.
Placements: Placements are good. The average salary package offered by the electronics and communication branch this year is above 16 LPA. Many students got internships in 3rd year based on their skills. ECE students are placed in both tech and non-tech departments. Nvidia, Intel, and Qualcomm are companies that visit our campus for recruitment.
Infrastructure: There is a lecture theater with air conditioning along with Wi-Fi. It has large collections of books and journals, including management-related fieldwork reports. It also provides well-equipped facilities, including TV rooms, reading rooms, mess facilities, and sports amenities. Facilities such as badminton courts, basketball courts, cricket grounds, football grounds, tennis courts, and volleyball courts are available.
Faculty: Courses at NSUT are organized by a course credit system, where each course has a label that indicates the level of the course and the academic unit that offers it. Courses can be core or electives, and some non-credit courses are also offered. In our college, 2 exams are conducted such as mid and end semesters with 2 quizzes that include internal marks of the subject. Faculty members are responsible for understanding the course syllabus and learning objective, placing the material, and designing evaluation methodologies.

Placements: The highest package in the Computer Science department is generally over Rs. 1 crore. The average salary package is roughly around 21-22 LPA for CSE and 16-17 LPA for the whole college. Top recruiting companies are Samsung, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc. Internships are also available from 2nd or 3rd year onwards.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at our college is far better compared to other engineering colleges, including some top NITs. Wi-Fi facility is available across the campus. The quality of food is average, like other colleges. Sports facilities like a badminton court, basketball court, cricket ground, football ground, racing track, and lawn tennis are available on the campus.
Faculty: Most of the teachers here are qualified and helpful, but it depends on the individual teacher. Exams in our college include class tests, mid-semester, and end-semester exams. Exams are not too difficult. We can pass them by studying 1 or 2 weeks before.

Vibrant campus with strong placements with scope for skill growth.
Placements: On average, more than 85 percent of students are placed comfortably, and sometimes the placements are exceptional (provided the market does not suffer a recession). Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Atlassian, Sprinklr, Samsung, DE Shaw, Visa, etc. The top Roles offered are SDE, Product Manager, Consultant, R&D, etc. depending on the type of companies visiting the campus. Average packages for top branches or IT branches are approximately 16–18 LPA. The percentage of students generally getting internships on campus is approximately 40 percent, if the market is booming.
Infrastructure: Wi-fi facilities are available, and sometimes the network is not up to the mark, but they have worked out this and taken the necessary steps. Classrooms are being transformed into smart ones with hi-tech facilities. Library access is there obviously (though a little bit crowded sometimes). As far as the hostel facilities are concerned, the mess food is of average quality. Rooms are of standard sizes. A basketball court is there, and one can practice cricket in the net. Along with that, a running track is being rebuilt so one can enjoy sports while being on campus.
Faculty: The seniors are undoubtedly knowledgeable, and some possess great teaching qualities, but like every other college, they can't dedicate their limited time to entertain every query. The course curriculum is not up to the industry standard, and many subjects are still irrelevant in this era of AI, ML, and newly emerging trends. So, you need to mug them up just for the sake of CGPA and learn various skills on your own to become industry-ready. The average difficulty level is there in exams, so more than 90 percent of students pass the college exams easily.
Other: 2 fests are organized generally: Moksha and Resonanz. Moksha is attaining new heights year by year with the performances of celebrities like Vishal-Shekhar, King, Raftar, etc. Also, the college supports the government scholarships for economically backward students and provides them relief. Facilities are great near the campus like Vegas Mall, food outlets, metro stations, etc. Things which should be improved can be: 1. Lowering the strictness of college administration 2. Focusing more on skill-development of students than curriculum and classes.
