Bad placements of core branches in 2020

Placements: Placements for CSE and IT are good enough but the core placements are very bad. No core company visits the campus and students of core branches have to sit for IT companies. The companies which came for placements are TCS, CTS and many more IT consulting companies.

The environment on campus is very pleasant.

Placements: Around 20% of the student get placed in our college. The salary package offered ranges from 4 LPA- 3 LPA. Top companies like Pinnacle, TCS, etc., visit the campus for recruitment. IT companies also visit our campus for placements. Placement scenario is good in the current year relatively from other years. Many students got placed in TCS, Pinnacle and some other companies.

Not upto the mark as I expected.

Placements: 40percent of students were placed this year which is good as stats of the previous year. The highest salary offered is 8lakh and the lowest salary offered is 3.3lakh where the average is 3.6lakh. Software analyst is the top role offered in IT and CSE departments. Somewhere students from core branch also get into these roles.

The college provides good education but no placement.

Placements: Environment of the college is good. But if we talk about campus placement core dept placement is zero, whereas IT dept placements are very good there is an average package of 3.5 lacs per annum. If you are planning to take admission in the non-core branch then it is one of the best in Kolkata regarding placement and education. But it is not same for core branch you will get very good education but placement companies are not coming but that is the case with every engineering college in India.

Our college administration is very bad, but the infrastructure is average. Civil department is good.

Placements: I am from 2019 passed out batch. From our course, one student got placed in TCS, which is a non-core company. Even our college is not interested in inviting core companies for the civil department. The salary offered here varies from Rs. 20,000 to 50,000 per month. There are no top recruiting companies for our course, and top roles are not offered in our course. Internships are not provided by our college. If you are interested in doing an internship or training, you can arrange on your own.

Placements and teaching are very poor, and I would suggest not to take admission here.

Placements: Placements are not available for civil department students, but CSE, IT and ECE branches have good placement record. Our college doesn't provide security money, and there are no internships for any branch. If you take admission in this college, then it will be a waste of money. I know this because I am a college placement representative.

Not the best, Not the worst.

Placements: Placements are not the best, but anyone can grab a chance to work in IT field. As of January 2020 almost 45% students are placed in branches like CSE, IT, ECE. For core branches the stats are below 30% with most of the students being placed in IT companies. Some core companies also come but they don't take more than 3-4 students.

If anyone wants to take admission, then take only in computer science branch.

Placements: Less than 20% of the students in our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 3.6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.3 LPA. TCS is the top recruiting company of our course. A top role offered in our course is a software developer by TCS. The highest salary package offered in our course was 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. Only 10% of the students got an internship from our course in TCS.

The college provides good placements for CSE branch, but the campus life is like school.

Placements: Now I'm in the middle of my 7th semester. Out of 135 students in our department, around 75-85 students already got placed. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA.

Placements for 2017 batch was convincing.

Placements: Placements in our college were not bad. Based on current circumstances, companies like TCS, CGI, MindTree, Infosys, etc., and small start-ups like RS Software, IBS, etc., visited our campus for placements. In the first week of campus placements, some start-ups visited the campus and hired many students. The mass recruiters are TCS and Mindtree. Companies like Infosys, CGI visited later, but they were not keen on hiring many students.

The college is good but can be better.

Placements: The college provides good placement opportunities for IT job seekers. But, students can't get placements in core companies, and only a few companies like Intel, Robert Bosch, etc., offered internships. The problem is that companies do not visit the college for campusing, rather pool campus drives are conducted in Techno India, Salt Lake for all the colleges under Techno India Group.

Faculty members were incompetent and couldn't inspire students.

Placements: We have a placement cell available in our college. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and IBM have visited our campus for the recruitment of our batch. Some other core companies like Johnson Controls also visited the campus. Almost 70% of the students got placed from our college. Remaining students opted for higher studies, and some didn't get placed. Our placements were better than our senior batch's. Salary packages offered were around 3.25 LPA. Roles offered were of system engineer train...

The college was a good experience with varied people of diverse cultures.

Placements: We have a placement cell which works towards making the placements better. For our batch, the placements were good. A lot of students got through IT roles with a salary package of around 3-4 LPA, and a few got through proper core jobs, and a few students chose not to go for jobs. TCS, Capgemini were a few companies that visited the campus. Internships were conducted with a particular college and organisation who had helped us understand better functioning of GPS.

Considering infrastructure, placement, faculty and other factors, the college is fairly good.

Placements: Every year, around 60-70% of students from the CSE department are placed. Last year, placement percentage was slightly less than 60%. Mainly companies like TATA Consultancy Services (TCS) visited the college for campus placement. There is a placement cell in the college, and it is fairly useful.

A good faculty-oriented college.

Placements: Nowadays, placements in the college are not that good. Almost 35% of the students got placed. Minimum and maximum salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month and Rs. 30,000 per month respectively. Most of the IT companies have visited our campus for placements. Almost 2% of people get internships from the college. There is a placement cell in the college which is moderately helpful.

It is a very well-known private college in Kolkata, but it requires a proper upgrade.

Placements: Placements in our college are average. Some IT companies like TCS and Capgemini visit the college for campusing, but they take maximum candidates from ECE, IT and CSE departments. So, the placement chances for core stream students are very low. Core students rarely get placed in core companies. So overall, the placement rate of core branches is very poor.

I'm not much satisfied with the placements of our senior batch (2018).

Placements: The placements of this college are good if you are an average student. Companies like Infosys, Wipro and TCS, etc., are the mass recruiters of this college. Industrial training is well-organised and provided for every student, but only a few can learn from the training. Certificates are also provided after the successful completion of training.

Placements: Placements in our college are very good. Though there are certain fluctuations, most of the students got placed in various companies. In my batch, around 80-90% of the students got placed. The lowest cum average salary is around 3.34 LPA, which is offered by TCS which is the main recruiter of our college. Companies like Infosys, Syntel also visit our campus. Other companies like Bosch give some decent/highest package of 5 LPA. Most of the students are offered the roles of an assistant system eng...

Dissatisfied by the management, facilities, placements in 2018.

Placements: Our college is very poor at providing core placements but good at software placements. Students always strive for good placements. For mechanical engineering, placements are below 1%, but they are good for CS and IT branches. The mass recruiter is TCS. The college does not provide internships. There is a placement cell, but it doesn't work well.

A review on Netaji Subhash Engineering College.

Placements: The placements in our college are average. I can say this by keeping the present scenario job crisis in mind. If you study and you are in the toppers list, then you can get good core company. The placements for core branches are very less. The average students can get placed in core companies which offer less salary package. TCS is the main recruiter of our college, and the good students who score good marks throughout the course can get a job in TCS. About 30-35% of the students got placed in T...
