NHCE becomes the first institution in India to file 201 patents in a span of 3 years
July 5, 2024: NHCE filed ten more Patents on Nov 27, 2019 at Indian Patents Office. The college becomes the First Institution to Achieve the Rare Honour of Filing 201 Patents in 3 Years in INDIA and in the World. It is a historical achievement and a rare feat of an Engineering College. The credit also goes to the Chairman of the college for providing Creative Freedom & Innovative Ecosystem to students and faculty members of NHCE. The college has also established the NHCE Knowledge Park to facilitate various research initiatives.
College Signs Incubation Agreement with KOMOP Technology Private Limited
February 15, 2020: The New Horizon College of Engineering - NHCE has chosen KOMOP Technology Private Limited (FITGRAPHY), a startup for incubation, in its Centre of Excellence for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship. Six startup teams participated in Startathon held in December last year and presented their business idea to the expert panel. KOMOP was shortlisted among those six startups. This is the first external startup to qualify at the New Horizon College of Engineering. On February 15, the Incubation Agreement was concluded. Currently, there are around 104 student startups at the campus and 15 startups have been incubated at the Incubation Centre.
Department of Management Studies Organises World Entrepreneurship Summit
February 10, 2020: With the remarkable quote of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “The power to think differently and ahead of time for the betterment of mankind is what sets entrepreneurs apart”, the New Horizon College of Engineering - NHCE has held its second consecutive World Entrepreneurship Summit in association with Global Entrepreneurs Grid (GEG), which took place on February 8, 2020. The theme of the summit, "Smart Green Startups & Sustainable Development", showed how to reduce negative impacts on the international environment and local conditions. Eminent speakers and leaders were present at the summit such as Carl Broadbridge, Mohan Kumar, Rahul Sachdeva Dhananjaya Prakhe, Dr Debmitta Dutta, Professor Bholanath.
NHCE Hosts International Conference on Innovative Research in Engineering, Management & Sciences
December 22, 2019: A conference on Innovative Research in the Engineering, Management & Sciences, ICIREMS–2019 was oganised at New Horizon College of Engineering from December 19-21. VTU Belagavi Chairman Dr A S Deshpande inaugurated the conference. Five international and six national keynote talks were delivered on various domains of Engineering, Management and Sciences. A group of leading industry professionals and researchers set up two panel talks. Over 250 papers were presented amongst which all approved and registered will be published in International Journal of Scientific Research in Computer Science, Engineering & Information Technology and the best out of them will be published in Scopus Indexed Journal.

NCHE accepts Karnataka PGCET (rank) and CAT (percentile) for admission to MBA course. The CAT percentile to get admission to MBA for General All India category candidates stood at 40.
