Good infrastructure and research support.

Placements: Most of them are pursuing a PhD in prestigious universities in India or abroad. There is not a placement cell as such, but I am pursuing my PhD in Canada with an annual stipend of INR 15 Lakh per annum. For my department (chemistry), it was mainly Macleod Pharmaceuticals.

It is a really good campus to be part of and has a great community.

Placements: No direct placements are offered by any company, but most of the students choose to study after the course. Good recommendations from high-level faculty give you chances for internships and Ph.D. positions at top international universities and labs around the world.

Very good college with very negligible fees. Good faculty and infrastructure.

Placements: There are no direct placements in our college. Students usually have to apply for jobs or PhD on their own. Most of the people pursue PhD after this course, but many also try for different competitive exams. For internships, it's the same: students have to apply by themselves and get internships at different institutes here or abroad, or in any company. Top roles like JRF, SRF, PhD Fellow, are some of the most common.

NISER: a research institute of India.

Placements: NISER is not a placement-oriented institute; basically, the course is structured focusing on a research career. Although some students get jobs in some research and development companies, very few students get the privilege to directly apply for the interview of scientific officer in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.

Really good campus for enjoying life with freedom from anyone.

Placements: No direct placements offered by any company, but most of the time, students go for higher studies in other institutions or private companies internationally. So, students looking for placements should search for a job personally after college.

Faculty members in our college are very good.

Placements: Our institute didn't provide on-campus placements. Students can apply for off-campus placements. Many pass-out students go abroad to pursue Ph.D. Our institute authorities are planning to provide on-campus placements this year. They have conducted a survey on placements.

Amazing college life, but study remains constant.

Placements: Most people do a Ph.D. after this course, and a bunch of people get Ph.D. letters from some of the famous Institutes of the world. Moreover, we can join as a scientist in BARC through direct interviews, with no need to write any exams. But there is no placement cell as such.

Very good environment for students who want to pursue research.

Placements: Not many students are placed directly after completion of the course. Even the placement cell of our college has recently been formed. However, students who scored above 7.5 GPA are eligible for a BARC interview. Students get internships in and out of NISER. Some even get internships in foreign universities.

This college is recommended only to those who seriously want to do a Ph.D.

Placements: There is no placement cell in working mode. Most of the students do a Ph.D. or find a job on their own. Students got an internship in a research institute like IISER, IIT, IISC, etc. Around 80% of students can get an internship. If you do study well then you can do a Ph.D. in foreign universities also.

Overall, NISER is a good college.

Placements: You should get at least 8 GPA. Only educational university internships are provided, and not industrial internships. Join here if you are really serious about higher studies, i.e., PhD (foreign PhD). There are no placements like IITs, but you will get better opportunities if you study hard.

It is a splendid place to be a part if you want to pursue a career in science.

Placements: The primary goal of our college is to produce graduates who would be working in the scientific domain and making noticeable contributions to the scientific development of society. Thus, it prepares students to pursue a PhD in India and abroad. It's an amazing opportunity to study science with state of the art labs, but don't expect placement.

Placements: Most of the students choose to opt for a PhD abroad and in India. Students who get a CGPA of greater than or equal to 7.5 will directly be screened in the interview for the post of scientific officer-C in the department of atomic energy (DAE). Our institute does not have a placement cell as it is meant to promote natural sciences and research.

Placements: It is the best college in India for pursuing research education. In our college, placements are moderate. Students who have above 75% of marks in integrated B.Sc and M.Sc course will get a chance to attend BARC interviews without writing any exam. But other students cannot get this opportunity.

If your dream is to be a scientist, then it is a perfect platform.

Placements: Students here are not really interested in placements because NISER is a reputed institute whose main focus is research. So students don't want to make it to a money-oriented institute. However, nearly 80% of the students got settled with satisfaction. Most of the students like to pursue a PhD, and some directly join research in some research laboratories. Students who have CGPA of above 7.5 will get a direct internship in BARC.

But our people do go for PhDs to different international institutes, such as UCLA, MIT, ETH Zurich, Max Planck, etc. Nearly 70-80 percentage of graduates get their PhDs abroad and they continue their research on various scholarships/fellowships provided to them. People also do internships at different institutes in India as well as abroad and we are also provided a certain scholarship to do so.
