Science beauty of this campus eases the problems and defects.
Placements: 2018-2022 batch placed students percentage is 82.6. the highest package is 18 LPA. The average package is 7.63 LPA. The average package of my department (ECE) is around 8 LPA Top recruiting companies include L&T Construction, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, etc. Most companies that recruit students are from IT backgrounds but students also get placed in core companies.
Infrastructure: Hostels are equipped with a Wi-Fi connection. Labs do have the proper equipment for the number of students now. Classrooms are not digital, which most people expect from an NIT. The library is open for almost 12 hrs a day. It has books related to technology and academic purpose but not biographies or novels. Hostels are much better than other colleges but not all. Freshers hostels for B.Tech is very good. Food quality is the worst thing in my college. We get to eat 4 days of bread as breakfast. Lunch is the most miserable meal of the day. But the good news is we have a canteen. The food in the canteen is not like super tasty, but okay we can it's good. When it comes to medical facilities doctor visits to campus once a week. The rest of the week nurses are available. One ambulance is also available for students in case of emergency. Students have the proper equipment to play sports. Mostly we play Football, Basketball, volleyball, cricket, kabaddi, Badminton, Table tennis, and indoor games.
Faculty: Professors are very approachable and ready to help. Ph.D. scholars also have deep knowledge of the subject and are friendly too. One of the best things about my college is academics are not that difficult, so students get ample time to focus on developing other skills.
Other: College life is a completely new experience here. You get to live your student life in a peaceful hilly area. Locals are also very friendly. Many cultural fests take place every semester. The one fest every student of NIT Nagaland waits for is Ekarikthin which is the biggest annual techno-cultural fest. Sports meet also takes place. When it comes to connectivity Airport is 15km and the Railway station is 18km from the campus. Roads were really bad when I joined my B. Tech here but now they are good. Students do get various scholarships and can approach seniors for any help. Seniors are very friendly here.

The college has a well-designed administrative block and various other rooms and facilities.
Placements: Our college has an excellent placement record in the past few years in CS and IT branch. Students are eligible for placement from the 3rd year. Many companies like Wipro, TCS, HCL, Flipkart, and cognizant visited our college in the past few years, placements are awesome here.
Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure is quite good enough. Classrooms are spacious and ventilated properly. Various advanced technology is present in our classrooms like smart boards. The quality of teaching is excellent, members are skilled in different domains.
Faculty: The college has a well-designed administrative block and various other rooms and facilities for the students such as girls' common room and boys' common room, waiting room, co-operative store, etc. Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the college campus. The library consists of many technical books and online websites to download.

Review of National Institute of Technology, Nagaland.
Placements: In our college, the placement percentage is 60% due to the ratio of locals and non-locals 50:50. The highest salary package offered is around 15 LPA, the lowest salary package is around 3.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 8 LPA. Deloitte, Capgemini, cognizant, and L&T are top recruiting companies in our college. Around 50% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Admin building infrastructure is good. The hostel infrastructure of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year students is good. But the 4th year hostel is very old, it needs to be renovated. We have a Wi-Fi facility, speed is average, and we have bamboo classrooms. We have very low sports facilities and the mess food is average.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is good and somewhat helpful. Each course has qualified faculty members but some teachers don't even take the class the whole semester. They help in exams at the end by giving some important topics. Semester exams paper difficulty is average and the pass percentage is 90%.
Other: I chose ECE because I want to go to the communication and IT side. I wish to add equipment in the lab and good books are available in the library for the preparation of exams. Campus crowd is low compared to other NITs, events and fests occur regularly like Euphonics, Ekarikthin, farewell, freshers, and annual sports meet.

It is a good place with a lot of opportunities.
Placements: There are more than 85% of placements for eligible students. Eligible students mean those who were not enrolled through the home state quotas and such. Most of the placements are in the IT sector, though core companies also visit the college. The highest salary package offered last year was 18.2 LPA, and the average package was around 7 LPA to 8 LPA. Companies like IBM, Wipro, and Powergrid are regulars at our college. Web developers and app developers are in high demand in all the recruitments.
Infrastructure: High-speed Wi-Fi is there, but quite unstable, so you can't play games. The labs are all neat and most of the equipment, even research-level, is available. As per need, classrooms of all sizes are there. Some smart classes are also available. The library is good, with a decent collection of course books, but only course books, no out-of-the-course books. The food is okay, neither bad nor good. The hostel rooms are quite good, maybe because the buildings are all newly built. Regular sports events are held. We have active clubs for all.
Faculty: All the teachers are experienced and quite encouraging. Some teachers focus on GATE exams while others on placements. It's rather balanced. The semester exams are approachable if you have studied enough. It's not hard to maintain a decent GPA at this college.
Other: This place has good scenery all around. The hills, the clouds, the rain, the sunset it is all serene.

A good place to start a decent career.
Placements: Placements in our college are average. It depends on the skills of the student. There are pool campus drives organized for the 7 northeast NITs. If students have the potential to compete and crack, then they can surely get good placements from here. Many of the students get good packages ranging from 4 LPA to 25 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college is still under construction, but it is going good. The buildings are good. Labs are newly built and highly equipped. The equipment is world class. Various company setups are also available, like Siemens, IBM, National Instruments etc. Classrooms are good.
Faculty: Faculty members are average. Some are really good, and some are terrible. The faculty members are qualified and have good knowledge of the subject. But, some are not very versed, especially the new ones. But overall, the faculty group is decent enough. They make students work upon themselves.
Other: There is an annual technocultural fest called Ekarikthin. It is a 3-day fest, and its budget is around 12-13 LPA. The fest is mediocre. We have other campus activities almost every weekend. Technical as well as sports activities are the major events conducted every week. Apart from that, debates are also organised on a regular basis.

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately.
