National Institute of Technology Nagaland (also known as NIT Nagaland or NIT Dimapur) is one of the thirty-one NIT Colleges in India. It was established in 2010 by an act of the parliament. NIT Nagaland History:

Beginning within the mentorship of NIT Silchar for 2 years, NIT Nagaland is known to be among 10 newly approved NITs in the year 2009.
For the first 2 years, NIT Nagaland operated from the campus of NIT Assam.
The Institute began its academic year in 2010, with permanent land allocation by January 2012.
Interestingly, NIT Nagaland conducted its first academic session within the walls of the permanent campus on September 20, 2012.
NIT Nagaland is established on the land of 291 acres, which was originally allocated for the office of Deputy Commissioner.

The mode of the NIT Nagaland application process is online. To gain admission to the BTech programme at NIT Nagaland, eligible candidates can apply for JEE Main through the official JEE Main website. The counseling process is facilitated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).
