It is a decent college with a positive environment to explore your knowledge.

Placements: Placements in the college are average. The average salary package offered is around 3.5 LPA. Approximately 75% of the students get placed. Companies like ITC Infotech, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra etc., usually visit for placements and job roles like a trainee, assistant and engineer, etc., are offered.

Do not join NIT for BCA course because its not worth it.

Placements: A lot of companies comes to NIT for campus placements, and usually, the students who are eligible get jobs. In our class of 76 students, 46 were eligible for placements, and 20 of them have got jobs in companies like Capgemini, Detroit, TCS, etc.

I'm partially satisfied, and it is a mixed experience with the college.

Placements: The placements in IT and CSE fields are good. There is some lack of campus recruitment in core branches like CE, ME, EE, etc. Otherwise, the core branch students also get a chance in IT companies. Overall, the campus recruitment is average. They also provide some industrial visits and non-paid internships for the students.

Average Infrastructure and Faculty, 2017 batch.

Placements: Placements are moderate. One can get a 3 - 3.5 LPA package in IT companies. In core sector the packages varies and can be of 2.5 - 4 LPA. Most of the students if genuinely sincere to get placed will surely become successful. Companies are L&T, Pinnacle, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Capgemini, ITC Infotech and others.

Placements are good if you choose your career in IT and computer engineering sector.

Placements: Narula doesn't provide any core placements other than in IT and BPO sectors. Few of the students from civil engineering, electronics and electrical engineering are placed. Most of the students get influenced by IT sector, but that's not a good career path. So, I suggest you not to take admission if you are looking for a job in the core field. Only few IT companies are there for placements.

It is a very good platform for developing your creativity.

Placements: The campus placements are moderate. Only 20% students were placed in 2016, in civil department. But IT and computer science placements were very good. The placement percentage of the college is almost 70%. The quality of education is good. The environment is good. Placement training is conducted. Special coaching for placements is also available. Personal development training to the students also happened in our college.

The college has an affordable fee and average placement record.

Placements: The placement record is not good. I mean companies visit the college campus, and they also take students if you are lucky enough but only a few of them got the joining letters. They provide average salary in between 2LPA- 3 LPA. I was not placed from my college. Many of my friends are still waiting for joining. But I would say Tech Mahindra, Ericsson, Capgemini, Hitachi, Hcl etc., visit our company. The college should focus more on placements.

Overall, it is an average college to study.

Placements: Placements are not much good in this college because training and placement cell do not invite any good company. Many students get placed in pool campusing. Only 40% to 50% students were placed. The highest salary offered to the students was approximately 7 LPA, and the lowest was 1.2 LPA. 10% percent of students got the internship.

The campus condition is poor.

Placements: The placements are average. I have placed through the campus recruitment process at Capgemini. The lowest package offered is 1.50 LPA, and the highest package offered is 3.75 LPA. Approximately 70% of the students get placed in my batch. The roles offered to all of us were a software analyst.

A decent college with slightly higher fees. Over all good.

Placements: Most of the students from my senior's batch had got their jobs from the on-campus interviews. More than 60 percent students got a job on the campus interview. The minimum salary offered is Rs. 20,000. TCS, CTS, Wipro Technologies, Amazon India, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, ITC Infotech, Hitachi, etc. are the companies that came to the campus.

The faculty are helpful, and a place with loads of memories.

Placements: There were many companies which came to our college for the recruitment like Ericsson Global India, Capgemini, ITC Infotech, Tech Mahindra and offered different roles in different fields starting from IT sector to telecom sector. Currently, I am working in Ericsson Global India as an assistant engineer trainee. I had a good experience during the recruitment, where I have learnt a lot, starting from aptitude rounds to GDs to the final interview. I have grown every time I failed. ...

Good teaching and average placement.

Placements: The placement structure was good as per my experience. 50% of students from my department got placed, and few did not appear for an interview due to GATE. Most of the companies that came for recruitment were of IT sector, and the highest package till date was 6LPA according to my observation. The average package was near about 2.75 LPA.

Good college, good faculty.

Placements: The placement of the college is average. Most of the companies that come for the placements were software companies. Along with that, very few core companies come for placement. The average package is around 3 lakhs per annum. This year, the placement was around 76%.

If you want to play a gamble with your future, choose NIT.

Placements: Don't expect an MNC to recruit most of the students. A few do come, visit the college and pick one or two lucky faces. A few BPO companies will recruit a huge number of students. Local software companies often provide offer letter with a salary range of 8-10K per month.

If you have good soft skills then not a bad choice for engineering.

Placements: Placements vary from year to year. However, don't expect too much from the training and placement cell as they will bring very bad companies for recruitment. During my college days, I have seen the best company as Deloitte and ITC recruiting 1 or 2 students only. TCS recruits around 30 students each year.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of poor college faculty.

Placements: Nearly 50% of the students were placed. The highest package was 4 LPA while lowest was less than 1 LAP. The average ranged from 3.25 LPA. Most of the companies were service based and asked for technical analysts. Very few needed developers. Placements were even worse for non-CS/IT guys. Not a single core branch company came. However, the college taught proper interview skills and gave us proper grooming. Most companies however took very few students out of the total number appearing for each co...

A moderate college with a high fee.

Placements: The placement is quite good as compared to the other sister colleges of JIS Group. When compared to other colleges of West Bengal, it is decent enough. Last year, the placement percentage was roughly 70%. The roles offered were Associate Systems Engineer, Junior Software Developer, and such similar posts. This year too, the placement is going normally. We had Tech Mahindra, ITC Infotech, Zenser Technologies, Capgemini, Hitachi Consultancy, and few more as of November 2016. Many more companies ar...

Satisfying college with all the amenities and benefits

Placements: Placements have always been moderate in this college. The TPOs try hard and bring companies but it is upto the students to pass through the screenings and clear the process to get the job. Almost 80% of our seniors were placed and 50% of the CSE engineers have been placed till now.
