The worst college has no infrastructure or facilities.

Placements: Till last year, placement was decent but for the batch of 2024, placement has gone the worst. No companies are willing to come to college and private colleges are performing better than this NIT. As of now, I don't think everyone willing to take placement will get placement this year. Only 2–3 companies offered a CTC greater than INR 15 LPA, and most of them who have a CTC greater than INR 15 LPA have gotten PPOs after doing internships. Don't expect placements to be good this year, as the colle...

I am not satisfied with the hostel facilities, but the college is good in all other aspects.

Placements: Placements in our college are good now. I think the placements will be much better by the time we face it. The highest salary package offered was good enough this time, and good companies have visited the campus. By the time of our batch, I hope more good companies would visit with good salary packages.

My experience at NIT, Raipur.

Placements: From my batch, the biotechnology course, 7 students got placed. The highest salary offered was 4.5 LPA. But, with my seniors, it was the worst, less than 5 persons got placed. The college will be not helping in any kind of training and internships, only students have to take care of the internship. The placement cell is present, and it is quite active. But, it is not that useful for our course, no companies related to our course ever visited our college.

The college is okay but if you are looking for a decorated career this isn't the college you should.

Placements: The placement scenario of this college varies hugely as per your branch. For CSE, IT & ELEX the scenario is quite good every year they present 100% placement stats. A good applicant from these branches can quickly get his hands on a 6 LPA job. The scenario for core branches is a bit bad for branches like bio M.Ed biotech, mining & metallurgy. The companies that visit the college are very less that you can count them on your fingertips.

Dissatisfied with the infrastructure, faculty, and the negligence towards the projects.

Placements: The placements for the mechanical department has been decreased since last 2 years. With a handful of guys still left to get placed, about 60% of the students have been offered the jobs by the companies. The management companies hire the students to provide them with the jobs of sales management and marketing.

Many things are yet to develop in the college. Don't expect too much from NIT Raipur.

Placements: Most of my seniors got placed. We have a strength of 92 in class, in those around 80% got placed. Companies like Infosys take many students (around 30-40 people both from CSE & IT). The highest package was around 12 lakhs and the lowest was of 2-3 lakhs and the average package is around 4-5 lakhs. So many companies like Samsung, TCS, Infosys, Oracle, etc. have visited the campus. They were given roles like that of manager, software developer, etc.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty and a good placement record.

Placements: No placements at all for the department of architecture. It's the worst department in our college. 0% placement record for the department of architecture in NIT Raipur. My strong suggestion is to not join the department of architecture in NIT Raipur.

NIT Raipur. Low exposure. Better not to choose.

Placements: There aren't any placements for Electronics. CSE and IT guys have placements up to 70%. Mechanical and civil has nearly 40-50%. This year, it is going to be tougher than the 2016-17 academic year as the college rank went down from 63 to 127 according to MHRD ranking. Most of the companies are software companies and most of the students have to appear for those as there is no other option for them, irrespective of the branch you choose.

Only placement. No learning.

Placements: Very good core and software companies visit here for recruitment and offer decent packages. The highest package was offered by HPCL(12LPA) and the lowest package was offered by Infosys. For electrical, Adani power offered 4.4 LPA. Steel companies like Bhushan and Jindal also visit here with a salary package of 35-38k PM.

I am satisfied because of placements.

Placements: PLacements in our college are not good because only some of the company visited for placement and they are not able to offer a high salary package. They offer the minimum salary package of only 7 to 8 LPA and the maximum salary package offered is 27 LPA. Students have to work hard if they want good salary packages.
