    All about NIT Srinagar life.
Placements: There are around 6 to 7 courses in our college which are CSE, IT, electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, and metallurgy. As per placements, we can say that around 62-70% of students from every branch got placed in one of the greatest companies of India like Vedanta and TCS. Some government companies like BHEL, etc., visit for placements.
Infrastructure: As it is an NIT Institute which is owned by the government, facilities are very good. There is good Wi-Fi. The infrastructure of hostels is provided to all students who come from all over India to study or pursue their degree there. After all, the weather changes. The food is also good.
Faculty: As NIT is in government institute, all teachers are well-qualified from all over India. All of them are the best educators in India. They are very helpful and supportive towards you if you need them. Studies at NIT are very relevant to the point. Topics are covered very easily by teachers. There are two semesters in the year. Each semester has two exams one is mid-term and the other is end-term.
Other: As I am very much interested in learning machines and how they are designed, I chose this course so that I can learn about it in more detail. The best thing about this course is that you can use your brain and invent more machine designs, etc. Around 100 students are there in every batch as per their selection through Josse Counseling. Campus life at NIT Srinagar is very good. You have a lot of exposure. Students are very much competitive with each other.

NIT Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir College review.
Placements: Our institute has a placement cell. It helps students to acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L&T, and Nvidia visit our campus. It provides jobs in every field from information tech to material-related jobs. Here, job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day, about 30-40 students got placed with an average salary package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for the CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute. Some companies like GAIL, IOCL, and BARC give internship opportunities to chemical branches.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure has its Kashmir style. Buildings are well-painted in the front but there are some bad conditions too at the back. The academic blocks are very clean and include all types of laboratories for practical experience. The campus also includes its library where all the engineering books are kept, and students can study anytime between 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM. Classrooms are well-cleaned and include smart boards and air conditioning for summer and winter.
Faculty: Our teachers or faculty members on the campus are highly qualified with amazing teaching skills. It helps every student to grasp concepts of the topic concisely. Most of the teachers are very friendly and help you in every field if it's your studies or any other problem. The course curriculum is well-managed and thoughtfully created. Every student can grab concepts to be industry-ready. There are mainly mid-term examinations and end-term examinations in the gap of 1.5 months.
Other: We have clubs in every field from music to photography where you can showcase your extracurricular skills. We have 2 annual fests. A tech fest and a cultural fest are held. Games tournaments and sports are also being held here. Other extracurricular activities are organized regularly. All festivals are celebrated with full excitement and joy. The crowd on the campus is mostly busy on Monday, but the crowd is not very dense.

    NIT Srinagar review in general.
Placements: Placement rate is not good, many seniors having good CGPA do not get placement. The highest package is about 20 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. The average package is about 12 LPA. Sorry, but top companies don't come here. The percentage of students who got placement is also low.
Infrastructure: In general, teachers are good, but due to lack of facilities and advanced labs, they can't give their best. The library is good enough for studying but is very small. Hostels are not good; in one room, there are 5 boys, and there is total chaos and confusion the whole day. Sports, canteen, and medical care are good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but due to lack of facilities and advanced labs, they can't give their 100%. Classes are small, and the course curriculum is not relevant. It does not make us ready for industrial work. Furthermore, exams are too easy.
Other: I think ECE has vast and great scope in the future, which is why I chose ECE as my engineering course. There are many great things related to this course, e.g., it gives us skills about semiconductors, which is the future in general. Labs in this college are not good, so they do not make us skillful.

NIT Srinagar is a very good college in terms of its location and academic purpose.
Placements: 30 students got placed in Civil Engineering. The highest package was 8 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA. Vedanta and TATA were the top recruiting companies. Different companies take part in placement sessions, in which most of the Computer Science and Information Technology students get jobs more than other branches.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. Labs are well-equipped and the library remains open from 7:00 am to 12:00 am. Some hostels are very good, and some are of average quality. The quality of food is average. Medical and sports facilities are medium. All the departments have separate labs with modern equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they have studied at IITs and foreign universities. Semester exams happen according to the calendar date exactly, and the passing percentage is 40%. If every student takes part, whether it is academic or non-academic, this is only possible because of the support of teaching and non-teaching faculty.
Other: I have chosen Civil Engineering because of government job opportunities. The main thing which I liked about my course was the analysis of every structure. Infrastructure can be improved to the next level. Two fests happen in a year: one is cultural, and the other is tech-based. The campus is not too crowded; it has a very pleasant atmosphere.

Facilities are too good, and have a very great view, placements are good in year 2022.
Placements: Around 70-80 percent of students get placed. The highest package is 19 LPA. The lowest package is 6 LPA. Samsung. Around 85 percent of students got internships. The fest is not that crazy, but the view of the college is too good, and it is a very safe campus. If you work hard in any branch on this campus, you will get placed.
Infrastructure: The facilities are normal, not that hi-fi. The labs are good and have a great Wi-Fi connection. The fest is not that crazy, but the view of the college is too good, and it is a very safe campus. If you work hard in any branch on this campus, you will get placed. You will have an enjoyable life on this campus.
Faculty: The teachers have great knowledge of their course and have a very supportive nature. Semester exams are normal, not the type of tough exam that can't be conducted. The fest is not that crazy, but the view of the college is too good, and it is a very safe campus. If you work hard in any branch on this campus, you will get placed. For civil engineering, this college is not preferable because placements are not good for it.
Placements: In B.Tech Civil Engineering, only 60% of students get placement. The highest package is 19 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Oracle, etc. About 70 to 75% of students get internships offered by companies. Top roles offered are structural engineering and more.
Infrastructure: The hostel rooms are below average; a single room is occupied by 5 students. Labs are good but not well-equipped; we can say they are decent. The library is very small; it can't hold more than 100 students at a time and also books are very limited. Overall, it's bad for those who are thinking that they will get space or books rather than engineering. In the hostel, the food quality is decent. The facilities like water, Wi-Fi, etc., are very bad. Medical facilities are excellent. Sports are decent here, and the college is providing very few funds for sports events.
Faculty: Teachers are good, and they are well-qualified as well as knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Exams are medium level in mid-sem, but pretty hard in end-sem, and the pass percentage is 40%.
