A place where students are better than the professors.

Placements: Top notch tech companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Intuit, Flipkart and Goldman Sachs come to the campus every year. Most of these companies hire around 10 students every year. In a batch of 2016, the highest package was 20 lakhs. Note that this is the actual benefit (including cash in hand and stocks) offered. Some companies like Amazon claims their CTC to be 27 lakhs. However, on deeper inspection, they just have weird stock vesting policy that spans 4 years. Accounting for all that, 20 lakh is ...

A great institute with good people around you

Placements: As Bangalore is very well-developed and many companies are situated in Bangalore, NITK is preferred from the engineering colleges in Karnataka as their priority, so many companies around and in Bangalore visit NITK, and the strong alumni of NITK also get good companies. It gets around 280 companies and the highest package offered is 30lakhs and the average is 7.5 lakhs.

NITK, Naam bade darshan chote.

Placements: Placements were good for my branch. About 83 out of 100 people got placed. The highest package was in the range of 24 LPA and lowest was offered by TCS around 3.3 LPA and average went around 5 to 5.5 LPA. Companies like Adobe, Codenation, Microsoft, Amazon, Practo, Intuit were the early companies. Then Carwale, Sabre, Informatica, were the next tier companies, followed by TCS, Mu Sigma, Wipro and Sapient. Apart from that, many companies like Goldman Sachs, Arista Networks, De Shaw also came an...

Overall, satisfied with the facilities.

Placements: Approximately 90% of the students across all branches get placed here. Currently from my batch, more than 50% people are placed. The placement for B.Tech is better than that for M.Tech or MCA courses. I got placed in Alstom Transport. The selection process is simple, as usually a written test is conducted followed by a GD and then the personal interview.

The college is well equipped with all the facilities. Food is tolerable. The gym is awesome but crowded. The faculty is experienced and helpful. Diversity is very extensive and you will never feel homesick. Weather is extremely rainy in the odd semester and the even semester promises a lot of dry heat. Placements are really awesome.

The placements are the best factor about this college. The food was lousy before, but the quality has increased significantly since this year. The faculty is very experienced and the infrastructure is tolerable. The weather is always nice. Access to basic facilities is available. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The crowd here is diverse and friendly. Carrying an umbrella is always necessary because of the constant rainfall in the odd semester.

The college location is very good and the weather is always pleasant during the odd semester, thanks to the beach nearby. All the services are easily accessible. Power and water problems are there. Most highly rated professors of the nation teach here. Placement statistics of this college are awesome.

The placement in this college is good. This is the only college in India having a private beach. The cool weather over the whole year due to the beach makes one’s life peaceful. The campus facilities and mess food are not so good. The average package for companies would be around rupees 7 lakhs per annum.

The college provides ample opportunities for all sorts of future endeavours, be it foreign education support or extreme placement opportunities. The average salary packages are way above what the normal colleges offer. B.Tech in Computer Science and IT, are at the zenith of placements. Some of the teaching faculty is from MIT and has an extremely supportive staff. The fun has not just begun, there is a private beach to chill out and also several cafe bars throughout the college and nearby ar...

NITK is an amazing place for learning. It provides many opportunities to explore your interests, not only in academic but extracurricular activities. Incident, Engineer and Crescendo are some events where you can observe the amazing talent of NITK. In terms of the MBA program, it started 7 years ago and, recently this year MBA got its own department: School of Management. In terms of fee criteria, this is the best option for anyone interested in MBA, because ROI is comparatively high as compa...

NITK- A journey of life and hope.

Placements: Placements were good of our senior batch and better for our batch. Almost 70% students were placed. The minimum package was 3 LPA, the maximum was up to 9 LPA and the average was 5 LPA. Companies like PepsiCo, Reliance, Coal India, Murugappa Group, etc visited our campus. Students were offered mainly engineer trainee roles.

The college has enough infrastructure, it is one of the top colleges in the country. The professors are knowledgeable and good. It all depends on student's way of taking use of available resources. The placement is also very good, especially in IT branches. They have a very high scope. Some branches like civil and mining are really chill.

NITK is among the top colleges in India. One will get ample opportunities in every field, but one needs to find and contact the right person. The private beach is beautiful. It lacks sports facilities, but I guess the administration is working on it by expanding and constructing a new sports complex. In senior years, the internet facility was not up to the mark. One needs to come out of his room and sit in the corridor to access the internet. Department of mechanical engineering is better th...

The college attracts a lot of companies, especially for CS and IT people. The campus is superb. There is presence of a private beach on campus. Hostel accommodation is pretty decent. NITK is one the great colleges in India to graduate from. It is not less than any IIT (of course except IITK, IIT and IITM). You get plenty of opportunities to develop your knowledge, your personality and make your future the way you want. Facilities are also great like an international level swimming pool, gym, huge ground, good internet speed and much more. It has a beach too, which most of the other colleges doesn’t have.

The main attraction of the institute is the beach attached to the campus. Campus and the facilities available are very good. Summers will be really bad to undergo. The new mega hostel towers are better than the old ones. Control yourself from getting into regionalism if you really want to get the most out of the college. The faculty for Mechanical Engineering is good, but not enough for the huge number of students in the department.
