One of my best choosen in life.
Placements: The average salary package for mechanical engineering offered was 13 LPA. Around 88% of the students whofor the placement exams from my branch got placed. The highest packageffe was 35 LPA, whereas the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Ford Motors, Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto, Amazon, and Flipkart. The top internship recruiters were AT&S India, AbInbev, and Aequs Group. Top role offered is Project Manager.
Infrastructure: NITK Surathkal has excellent infrastructure and facilities. The labs in the mechanical department are up-to-date and technologically advanced. Wi-Fi is available in every corner of the department. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and blackboards. The department even has a 3D printer. There are two libraries, one where digital books are available and one where normal books are available. Both the libraries are equipped with centralised air conditioning and are open till 12:00 Pm. For the second year, the hostel is Shivalik. It is a modern, sleek building equipped with the best technologies. Rooms are clean and well-painted. Washrooms are neat and cleaned regularly. The quality of food available in the mess is excellent. Canteens are also good. There is a 24/7 healthcare center available inside the campus. There are around five major canteens and a few cafes inside the campus. The sports facilities available are one of the best in India. We have a big sports complex equipped with the best equipment for each sport.
Faculty: Teachers are all high achieving in their respective fields with PhD from some of the best institutes like IITs. They have good teaching abilities and are approachable in terms of both academic as well as co-curricular activities. The course is relevant in the industry sense. It teaches the necessary skills that a mechanical engineer needs to have to prosper, such as the required software and hardware usage skills. The curriculum even covers humanities and language skills to make the students industry-ready. The exams are moderately hard and the evaluation is continuous. The pass percentage is around 90% of the students.
Other: I was very much interested in mechanical engineering and NITK Surathkal was my best option in terms of my JEE Main rank. The best thing about the course is how well-crafted it is. Every subject being taught is relevant in the industry sense. One thing I would improve about the course is to provide more labs for specific applications like automobiles and similar. The annual cultural fest, Incident, is one of India's biggest. It welcomes a huge footfall every year and has a variety of events for students to participate in and watch.

Infrastructure: The facilities are flagship level; all are simply superb. The facilities are so amazing, and all are welcoming. They have a wide range of knowledge, and we are inspired so much from them. The labs are too good, air-conditioned, and advanced equipment. You immerse in the subject because of these labs.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, all have done their Ph.D. in prestigious universities in India and around the world. The course curriculum is too good. Yes, it makes the students industry-ready, and they keep on updating the syllabus to make us industry-ready.

Do you think your JEE Preparations are worth National Institute of Technology, Suratkal (Karnataka)?
Placements: Around 70% of the students get placed in NitK from Mechanical Engineering. The highest package is 10LPA without the Minor. On taking minor courses the average package will increase. The average package is around 7LPA and the lowest is 5LPA. One of the top recruiting company is Tata Mahindra. Many students get internship opportunities and avail Pre Placement Offers before reaching the final year. The minimum requirement for sitting in campus placement interviews is 7 CGPA.
Infrastructure: Before answering this question, let me tell you that I have visited NIT Calicut and my answers will be based on their comparison. The infrastructure and buildings like CIDS and CRF are top modern buildings in NitK. We have a Central Library and a Digital Library. The construction for a new Library is going on and we can soon expect them. The hostels are average. The mess food is okayish. Every hostel has appointed GMC and MC for representing the hostelite and their mess food. So, make sure you voted for them wisely. We have 3-4 Gyms with the latest equipments. Many Sports tournaments are conducted through out the year, both inside and outside the campus. We have a Health Care Centre opposite the main ground. We get prescriptions from there and we also have a pharmacy inside the Health Care Centre.
Faculty: Even though the Teachers are highly qualified, we have to rely mainly on self study. The course curriculum is advanced and makes the students knowledgeable. There are many Clubs which will help you gain world life experiences. There are clubs for everyone taste and passion.
Other: There are many club activities where you can come out of your comfort zones and try something new. There are mainly two massive events which happen all year round. A technical fest which is called Engineer and a Cultural fest called Incident. Every year, for many club activities, the alumni visit the college. You get to connect with people from a wide variety of cultures, backgrounds and mindset.

Best college life. If you get your JoSAA seat, don’t leave your seat at this campus.
Placements: In AI branch, about 90% of the students who have applied for placements get their campus placements, and the remaining 10% choose to do Masters, Research, and startups from college tech clubs like IEEE and Cell. The highest package offered in AI branch for 2022-2023 is 55.25 Lakh, and the lowest is around 7 Lakh. The average package is 27.5 Lakh, which is mostly all students during this time period. Top recruiting companies are MRPL, GOOGLE, Accenture, and many more. Internships are mostly short-term, about 1 to 2 months in AI branch. There are very few students who opted for internships in 2nd or 3rd year due to college in-campus projects. Top roles offered in AI branch are AI Engineer, Full Stack (including front-end and back-end development), and AI Tools Development.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is very good, we get around 1000 Mbps network with LAN cables. Classrooms and libraries are very clean and peaceful. Best place and best college to study. Quality of hostel rooms is okay, and food is getting better day by day. There is no need to worry.
Faculty: Professors are the people you can meet in the campus, they will teach and learn you everything they know. In AI, we have a separate course called PSC (Program Specific Course), which is totally based on how to use AI tools and all, which are very useful. Semesters are moderate to tough because, as it is a national college, the paper is also set to the level of campus prestige, and the pass percentage for one semester is 20%, which is 20 marks per subject.
Other: AI is an interesting course to do in B.Tech and very interesting. Everything is perfect, and if possible, we need a break on Wednesdays and less record work. Events are the best possible thing you can expect; they will be way better than your expectations, trust me. There are two main events called Engi and Incident, those are the best of all the hard work we have been doing.

A Review of NIT Surathkal - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: In our course, on average, nearly 90% of the students get placed every year. In this academic year, the highest package was 54 LPA and the lowest was around 8 LPA. Many MNCs come to the campus to recruit students; some of them are Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber, Ola, etc. All of the students might not get on-campus internships, but around 80% of the students do.
Infrastructure: The ECE Department has well-equipped labs with modern electronic equipment and Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms with projectors and blackboards. There's also a central library with a vast collection and a dedicated ECE section. Hostel life features some clean and basic hostels with laundry facilities and a common room. There's a healthcare center with qualified medical staff, sports facilities, and a swimming pool.
Faculty: The professors at NITK are highly qualified. Many have PhDs in their respective fields. The course curriculum is constantly reviewed and updated to stay relevant to the latest advancements in the field of ECE. The exams will be challenging, and the minimum pass percentage will be 20%, but it varies with the respective proof.
