Is B.E./B.Tech at PB College of Engineering Worth the Investment?

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and helpful, willing to teach beyond class hours, and supportive in clearing doubts.
    * Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure, with modern laboratories, a large library, and comfortable hostel facilities.
    * Placements: Although not exceptional, around 80-90% of students get placed, with some students securing internships and job offers from reputed companies like HCL and TNEB.
    * Scholarship opportunities: The college offers scholarships to meritorious students, making education more accessible.
    * Friendly environment: Students appreciate the cordial relationship between faculty and peers, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

    Cons:

    * Limited extra-curricular activities: The college focuses mainly on academics, leaving limited scope for cultural events and sports.
    * Placement cells could improve: While some students managed to secure internships and job offers, others felt that the placement process could be more effective.
    * Curriculum needs improvement: Some students felt that the curriculum could benefit from more practical knowledge and industrial exposure.
    * Hostel life limitations: Hostellers reported occasional issues with timing restrictions and food quality.

    Conclusion:
While PB College of Engineering has its strengths, particularly in terms of faculty and infrastructure, it falls short in certain areas, such as extracurricular activities and placement processes. Overall, whether the investment is worth it depends on individual priorities. Those seeking a strong educational foundation and a supportive environment may find PB College suitable, whereas those expecting extensive extracurricular options might consider alternative institutions.

It is really a very good college and has value for money and fantastic faculty members.
Placements: Unlike other colleges, our college won't give false statements like it provides 100% placements. Here almost 20 or 30 companies visit for placements, and they offer a salary ranging from Rs. 25,000 to 1.5 lac per month according to your skills. Apart from these, placement classes will be conducted by great staff members, and your skills will be automatically improved.
Infrastructure: There is free Wi-Fi and a huge library, which has a huge collection of books. There are fantastic hostel facilities. The quality of the food served here will be great, but there will be only vegetarian food. If you are a hosteller and have an interest in sports, a specific time is allotted for playing like 2 or 3 hours. So, you can improve your skills and enjoy your hostel life. Apart from that, there will be students from all over the state, and you can meet a lot of students and share your experiences and build a strong friendship with them. There is a huge lab and separate labs for separate departments. Almost all facilities are available like a huge ground, green and peaceful environment. It is a huge college.
Faculty: There are fantastic faculty members here, and they teach really well. After a while, staff members behave with you like friends. They share their experiences, knowledge and other things. For semester exams, you need not to worry, and you will get trained automatically for that. About 90% or 95% of students will get passed.
Other: I have a great interest in computer science and coding, so I chose this group. In our course, there is a huge lab with good computers, and even there are separate labs for separate years. Only a few events are organised, so it can be improved. Our college gives great scholarships for students if they score good marks and join through counselling.

Review of P.B. College of Engineering.
Placements: The placement cell is at a moderate level, so they need to develop more for upcoming batches. However, 90% of the students got placed by off-campus interviews. There are well-knowledgeable students in our batch, so they got jobs on their own. The average salary package offered was 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are not available for students. The classroom atmosphere was at an average level only. The library has few author books only, but the librarian was good and suggested good books. There is no time for sports. Food was at an average level, but there were some varieties in the recipes.
Faculty: Staff members were knowledgeable, but they were not trained to train students for achieving gold medal level in Anna University. They conduct internal exams every month, and if we fail, we need to write re-exams. The pass percentage is 60% of the total mark.

Apart from placements, it was a good college.
Placements: Around 90 percentage of students of our department was placed in companies, but most of them are placed by their own efforts only. We have attended internships privately not provided by college. Two core companies came for campus interviews but they are average level companies only.
Infrastructure: I loved the hostel experience because of my friends. There were few restrictions on timings to go out and come in. Warden was averagely strict. Food was average. Sometimes it will be nice and sometimes not. More students of my year stayed in hostel.
Faculty: Faculty was average. They have knowledge but I think it would not be sufficient for guidance of training students up to gold medal stage and all. We have internals every month. If we doesn't pass that we need to rewrite the internals again. And conducted revision before semester too .

    P. B. College of Engineering is good for learning.
Placements: In my course, only 50% students placed. In my course, the highest package offered is 2 LPA and the lowest is 1.2 LPA. HCL is the top recruiting company in my course. 30% of students got internship in EB and some electric department. Junior engineer, junior trainee, etc. roles were offered.
Infrastructure: Rooms are clean and spacious with bathroom facilities. The staff in hostel is friendly. Free Wi-Fi, all labs are available, and library has lot of good books and reference question papers. Every month a sport game will be started and it would encourage students. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable and very helpful. Extraordinary teaching quality and the teachers are friendly. 60% is pass percentage. They will guide us in every possible way and help us throughout. They only teach about theory, not practical. They do not support in our own projects.
Other: Practical knowledge is provided here. But no enjoyment.
