Review of P.B. College of Engineering.
Placements: The placement cell is at a moderate level, so they need to develop more for upcoming batches. However, 90% of the students got placed by off-campus interviews. There are well-knowledgeable students in our batch, so they got jobs on their own. The average salary package offered was 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are not available for students. The classroom atmosphere was at an average level only. The library has few author books only, but the librarian was good and suggested good books. There is no time for sports. Food was at an average level, but there were some varieties in the recipes.
Faculty: Staff members were knowledgeable, but they were not trained to train students for achieving gold medal level in Anna University. They conduct internal exams every month, and if we fail, we need to write re-exams. The pass percentage is 60% of the total mark.

Apart from placements, it was a good college.
Placements: Around 90 percentage of students of our department was placed in companies, but most of them are placed by their own efforts only. We have attended internships privately not provided by college. Two core companies came for campus interviews but they are average level companies only.
Infrastructure: I loved the hostel experience because of my friends. There were few restrictions on timings to go out and come in. Warden was averagely strict. Food was average. Sometimes it will be nice and sometimes not. More students of my year stayed in hostel.
Faculty: Faculty was average. They have knowledge but I think it would not be sufficient for guidance of training students up to gold medal stage and all. We have internals every month. If we doesn't pass that we need to rewrite the internals again. And conducted revision before semester too .

P. B. College of Engineering is good for learning.
Placements: In my course, only 50% students placed. In my course, the highest package offered is 2 LPA and the lowest is 1.2 LPA. HCL is the top recruiting company in my course. 30% of students got internship in EB and some electric department. Junior engineer, junior trainee, etc. roles were offered.
Infrastructure: Rooms are clean and spacious with bathroom facilities. The staff in hostel is friendly. Free Wi-Fi, all labs are available, and library has lot of good books and reference question papers. Every month a sport game will be started and it would encourage students. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable and very helpful. Extraordinary teaching quality and the teachers are friendly. 60% is pass percentage. They will guide us in every possible way and help us throughout. They only teach about theory, not practical. They do not support in our own projects.
Other: Practical knowledge is provided here. But no enjoyment.

It always concentrates on education only and does not conduct any functions.
Placements: About 70% of the students from our course got placed, but most of us got placed by ourselves only. Our college conducts some campus interviews, but only a few of us got selected. Students got selected in small level companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. Buildings are painted in white to reduce heat absorption. Librarian is a very nice person. The library does not have sufficient books. Lab equipment is good, but some labs do not have sufficient things.
Faculty: Faculty members concentrate only on studies. There is no such free time for the students. They will not understand the situation of students. They will pressurise to get a score always, but not all of them are like that. Other departments are far better than the EEE department.
Other: Our college does not conduct any functions or extracurricular activities.

Our college is good only for studies but not for cultural activities.
Placements: Approximately 80% of the students got placed from college. The highest salary offered was Rs. 80,000 pe month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. The average salary offered was Rs. 50,000 per month. Top recruiting companies visit our campus to recruit students not only from our course but also for all streams. The banking sector, a manufacturing company, HCL, IT companies etc., are the other companies which also visit our college for placements. In ECE, many roles like testing engineer, manufacturing engineer, junior engineer, senior engineer and a testing engineer are offered. In our course, the highest salary offered was Rs. 50,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. The average salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month. About 80 to 100% of the students get internships in core companies like TNEB.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is about 4 acres. We had a separate building for EEE course and 2 labs for system practical and a machines lab for electrical circuit panel. Our electrical lab was huge and had more space with many machines to work and gain knowledge easily. There were different classrooms for second, third and final year students. Our classroom was vast, with natural air, fans, tube light and windows. Our college is pure Brahmins College, so there is no non-vegetarian food served. In the canteen, they provide all vegetarian dishes. On Fridays especially they cook vada sambar and desserts. Hotels were separate for boys and girls, and there were strict rules to be followed. Medical facilities were also available. They provide a cab if any student is sick or want to go to the hospital or home. They conducted tournament matches for cricket and throwball.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were friendly. They were always ready to teach plenty of times. They didn't rush to finish the portions. Once everyone got cleared in that particular part only then they move to the next chapter. They were qualified in their stream. Teaching quality was worth in our college. We can learn slowly, especially for slow learners they teach well. Gaining knowledge in college is not enough to work in the industry because it is just the basic thing we need. Students need to gain more knowledge apart from books.
Other: I wanted to choose CSE or IT. But these departments will go down anytime as these companies can get closed at any time. But electricity is not the same. Without electricity, nothing could happen in this world. None can survive without power. This is the best thing about our course, and that's the reason I chose this course. Practical knowledge should be provided more to improve the course. It will help to cope up with the companies. You need not struggle when passed out. Scholarships were available in college. Many students are studying without paying a fee. Once in two years, they celebrate an event called Symposium. Cultural events are not held on campus. Campus interviews are held in the final years.
