Patna women's college review : pros, cons and everything in between .

Placements: Placements have started last year, so the placement percentage is a bit low. The highest package is 8.5 lacs. The lowest package is 4.5 lacs. Top recruitment companies are Vedanta, Tata Steel, Byju's, etc. Since I'm a first-year student, I haven't applied for any internships but heard from seniors that the college provides decent internships.

Infrastructure: We do have Wi-Fi, labs, and wide classrooms and a library with all sorts of books—academic, non-academic, fictional, non-fiction—it's kind of amazing. Haven't opted for a hostel but heard from some of my friends that the wardens are kind of strict but the food is very good.

Faculty: The teachers are highly experienced with at least 25 years of teaching institute in not only our college but from other reputated colleges of India. The semester exams are not very tough, like if you have paid attention to the class and the teachers, they will not be very difficult to pass.

Other: Virasat is one of the fests of three days, which includes outsiders for 2 days. Day one is for the college students only. No outsiders are allowed. The second day we have some very interesting competition' and finally the third day we have a concert. We do have scholarships that are provided to the first-year students.

Moderately satisfied with the college due to the 0% placement rate.

Placements: There is no placement rate (0%) in the EVS department; it's a simple B.Sc. degree. There is no internship program, but you must be active in seeking opportunities from external sources such as Stone NGO or government sites. This will help you gain experience and build your career.

Infrastructure: Fully functional labs with working equipment are available, and Wi-Fi is accessible. The classrooms are quite nice and clean with great infrastructure. The library is fully functional, allowing you to study as many hours as you want. The hostel is good, but ragging occurs, with quality food provided. Medical facilities are available, and sports and games are conducted at the intra-college level.

Faculty: Teachers are Ph.D. qualified, and some are M.Sc. Wuali with great knowledge and easy explanations. A lot of practice is involved in this course, which might help you at the industry or research level. Exams are not very difficult, with a total of 6 semesters over 3 years.

Other: EVS is a course with future demands, as many countries are now using renewable resources, and countries like India need to manage their waste. Thus, there is a need for environmentalists. I hope our college considers campus placements, or the Bihar government starts prioritizing the future of students.

Placement scenario is bad in the college.

Placements: Placement in this college, as well as University, is very bad, as no companies visit for placement in any of the courses, so it's very bad for students who wanted a job by completing their course and want a job on the campus. So who wants the placement on campus I don't recommend this college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. There are many departments such as botany, Physics Chemistry geology etc. All the departments are very well in academics. Hostels are also available for all courses, there is 6 hostel for Patna Science college including a girl's hostel also.

Faculty: Teachers' faculty are very helpful and well qualified, their teaching experience is very good as well as some professors are a member of UPSC CBSE Delhi etc. All have very vast knowledge and experience. Exams are a bit difficult for those who don't study well.

Other: The best thing about this college is that the academics are very good. No compromise in the study as colleges is running regularly.

I am satisfied with everything provided by the college.

Placements: Placements in our college are not significant. You will need to pursue your master's from somewhere else to get a job. Overall it is the best non-engineering and non-medical science college in Bihar. It is a great college with great teachers and other faculty members.

Infrastructure: Our college provides great facilities and infrastructure. Environmental science students are getting a new building soon. The college is completely covered with greenery. There are trees and flowers everywhere. Every department has its own garden. There is a huge campus and a huge ground.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is great. In this course, you can apply after B.Sc. You just need great marks in examinations. Teachers will always guide you about your career opportunities. They will always tell you about the benefits of this course.

Other: I have chosen this course because the environmental science course is not so crowded, but you can give a multiple choice for the job as there will be great demand for Environment Science graduate in future.

Geology department, Patna University.

Placements: I completed my graduation in earth Science from Patna science college, Patna university. There is no direct placement facility available in this course in our college. Most of the students opted for masters programme and got selected for other prestigious universities like Delhi university, Banaras Hindu University, Indian Institute of technology etc.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of all departments of my college are very attractive and historical since it was build somewhere around 1930. Despite of being very old, university administration take care of building very well and all of them are in very good condition.

Faculty: Teachers in my department are so helpful and intellectual. They are always up to help their students in any type of problems. The 3 year degree course in not helpful for field work but it provides us a good knowledge of concept. To world in field and industries, students need to go through extra training programs.

Other: Interior of the Earth is always fascinating for most of the creature living on it's surface. I opted for this course to get the whole knowledge about the planet we are living on. The college helped me a lot to clear my doubts.
