Merit Screening
Admissions is based on the score obtained in GATE For non- GATE candidates, they have to appear PG Entrance exam conducted by CENTRALISED ADMISSION COMMITTEE POST GRADUATE (CENTAC-PG), Pondicherry Engineering College. Sponsored candidates shall be treated as non-GATE candidates and will be given weightage in experience and performance in entrance exam as: (i) 40% weightage of marks for experience (at the rate of 4% for each completed year of experience excluding the first two years which is the minimum requirement, subject to a maximum of 40%) (ii) 60% weightage of marks shall be given for the performance in the entrance examination to be conducted by CENTAC-PG.

I am very satisfied with PEC.

Placements: Wipro and CTS visited our college during my final semester, but they hired only a few students, i.e., 25% of the students. Mostly, it is a little bit difficult to get placed because they hire only a few students. However, in B.Tech, 80% of the students will get placed easily.

Infrastructure: Every lab has a Wi-Fi facility, which is secured, and we should get permission to access it. The hostel life is not that much good because mostly only a few students used to stay in the hostel. The security facility is a little bit low in the hostel.

Faculty: Every teacher has good experience in teaching and has well knowledge. For projects, every teacher is good at teaching students who are assigned to them. If we wish to do a PhD under our project professor, they will help us and guide how to apply and what things are required to prepare.

Good placement and good professors.

Placements: Nice placement and many MNC companies are coming to hire graduates and post graduates. Many top MNC companies are coming to hire. Many cultural programs are conducted in a year. Companies like tcs, cts, Infosys, l and t, Wipro, and other companies are coming for placement.

Infrastructure: Our college provides high-speed internet facility. Classrooms are good. They conduct medical campaign in a year and yoga for girls. There is a canteen which provides food at affordable cost. The library is good and contains a lot of books. They conduct sports on every year.

Faculty: Teacher are good and helpful. They complete the course on time. They provide seminars and conduct free seminars on various technology. They conduct paper presentation conference and publish the paper in acm digital library. They make the students to code themselves and make them to learn.
