- Aspirants appearing for the class 12 exam in April/May 2024 are also eligible to apply
- The maximum age of the candidate should not exceed more than 25 years and not less than 17 years in the year of admission
For BSc Nursing Post Basic
- The aspirant should have passed the class 12 examination or equivalent
- The candidate should have completed General Nursing and Midwifery with a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate
- The aspirant should have three years of experience in nursing or public health nursing with the state/central government or any recognized hospital or institute
- The maximum age of the candidate should not be exceeding more than 45 years

There are a total of 93 seats in the PGIMER BSc nursing (Hons.) programme. General category candidates have 47 seats, SC category candidates have 14 seats, ST category candidates have 07 seats, OBC category candidates have 25 seats, and PwBD category candidates have 5 seats in all. It is a 4 year course. Please note that reservation to PwBD candidates is given on horizontal basis and as per Govt. of India guidelines revised from time to time. Q: I am 30 years of age. Can I apply for the PGIMER BSc nursing programme?
As per the guidelines issued by the exam conducting body, a candidate must not be more than 25 years of age and should not be less than 17 years on 1st September, 2024. This means that candidates born after 01.09.2006 and before 01.09.1998 are not eligible to apply for the course. For the B.Sc. Nursing course (4 years), only FEMALE candidates are eligible to apply within this age bracket.

PGIMER BSc Nursing 2024 counselling was started by PGIMER, Chandigarh on August 12, 2024, onwards. The PGIMER will invite all the shortlisted candidates for counselling after the announcement of the result. Candidates have to prove their eligibility as the eligibility criteria by producing all the mandatory documents. The conducting body will verify the documents in original and their self-attested photocopies. PGIMER, Chandigarh will organize the counselling and all the invited candidates have to report to the venue of the counselling on the allotted date and time. No candidate will be entertained on any other day besides the allotted date.
