Improved placements, first-ever hackathon, and strong faculty support.
Placements: Before 2023, placements at our college were poor. But things changed significantly after initiatives like the CodeLite Hackathon, led by Vaibhav Devkar, and a sponsored job fair, which helped students secure positions in top MNCs, startups, and private companies. As a result, the placement rate goes to 85-90% in 2024, with packages ranging from 3.5 LPA to 28 LPA and an average of 8.5 LPA. Over 75% of students also gained internships with companies like Google, Microsoft, and Infosys. The college is now planning more events and skill-building programs to further enhance placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: Our course or department provides excellent infrastructure. It includes spacious classrooms with projectors, well-equipped labs with high-speed Wi-Fi, and a library stocked with books and E-resources. The hostel is clean and comfortable, but it does not include a mess facility. Students must join outside messes for meals. Medical facilities are reliable with an on-call doctor and a health center. Sports amenities include well-maintained grounds and courts for various indoor and outdoor games, ensuring a balanced campus life.
Faculty: Our teachers are highly qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable, ensuring excellent teaching quality. The curriculum is industry-relevant with a focus on practical learning to prepare students for professional challenges. Semester exams are conducted under SPPU guidelines. They are moderately difficult but manageable, with a high pass percentage.
Other: I chose this course for its balance of theory and practical learning, supported by knowledgeable faculty and well-equipped labs. In October 2024, the college organized its first-ever CodeLite Hackathon, led by Vaibhav Devkar, with a prize pool of more than Rs. 2,00,000, boosting innovation and technical exposure. The campus is vibrant with events, extracurricular activities, scholarships, and a lively crowd. More industry collaborations would further enhance the program.

College life is the best life for me. I learn lot of things.
Placements: Around 60% of students are placed at that time. Most companies want software developer students with special java language. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Most of the companies are startups. college TPO also helped us at that time. They arrange the aptitude session.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is nice and also many facilities are provided by college like a library, etc. Talk about the hostel that is also good in that are 3 hostels are there. Mess facilities also are good. I also lived in hostel at that time really that time is best of my life. I will recommend living in that hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are nice and experienced. They help in academics and also guide students to career-related. Course also helpful for us. All areas are covered that the company wants from candidates. College staff is nice they help us with each activity. Also, they provide individual visits.
Other: Talk about events, college organises many events like days, gatherings, and ganesh festival.

I am satisfied with the branch I got and hope will help in my future scope.
Placements: The average package was 3–4 LPA. Now that new companies are emerging, improve the percentage of students who get internships. Many students are placed. Students are placed based on the percentage they scored. Also, our TPO provides us with a lot of support in placements.
Infrastructure: The college has enough facilities. The college has enough campuses. The college provides proper library facilities and has well-formed labs. The college provides digital classroom facilities. My college is very good; everyone must take admission.
Faculty: The exam was held properly and teachers provided study materials and assignments from time to time. They also recommend the questions we need to study for exams. Also, the exams are done in a very appropriate way. The teachers are very good; they help a lot with exam studies.
Other: This year, the events—fest and extracurricular activities—have improved a lot and students are showing interest.

    The best faculty and staff.
Placements: Considering the ECE branch, there is no on-campus placement provided by the college, but the college TPO will provide leads and arrange online interviews and off-campus openings. The TPO is very supportive and understanding; they will also tell you which courses to do and what to do exactly.
Infrastructure: The hostel and college have broad Wi-Fi and good infrastructure. There are overall 3 hostels linked with PDEA college, with 3-4 buildings, and for girls, there are 3 hostels. There is also a college canteen with pretty good food at the corners of the college campus.
Faculty: The teacher staff of the college is really very supportive and educated. It offers branch courses and has the best teaching faculty for the ECE branch and CSE. But the documentation and the helper staff are quite rude. Still, the college is worth it and satisfying.
Other: Considering the ECE course, the faculty is really very good and educated. The teachers are very supportive. I got this college through CAP, so I didn't feel much.

Average College in Pune City Campus College.
Placements: The college has an average placement record compared to other colleges in Pune. The TPO section isn't as strong, and while computer engineering has good scope, the college lacks strong industry connections. Companies like TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant visit for placements, but the offered packages are around 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure has limited facilities. Hostels are expensive and not affordable for middle-class students, leading many to live in rental accommodations. The college lacks a canteen or mess, so students have to go outside the campus for food. Classrooms and labs are average and not well-maintained.
Faculty: The faculty are newly appointed and lack experience in teaching. They are not well-versed in future possibilities for engineering careers in IT. They cover only about 75% of the syllabus and do not provide projects that are effective for performing well in semester exams. The teaching quality is average.

Review of Pune District Education Association's College of Engineering.
Placements: In the last 2 years, not a single student was placed through the college placements. No company came to the campus to hire students. I think the college is not serious about students' careers and does not support students. All students try to place themselves through their own responsibility.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college is good, but hostels are not on campus. The library, classrooms, and labs are in good condition, and Wi-Fi is provided on campus. One good thing is the sports department, which provides all facilities required for playing any games. In the hostel, they provide Wi-Fi and filtered water for free.
Faculty: College faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is the best. College conducts exams as per the university's decided format, as the college is affiliated with the university. The passing percentage of college students is 99.99%, which is good for parents.
