RKGIT is a college known for its previous achievements but don't get a false notion because nothing exists now. I had studied there and starting from the placement to faculty, nothing is average. They all are below average and not at all efficient to teach. I got placed in Mphasis that too not an on campus but by AMCAT. So don't opt for this college. This college was very good reputation from 2004 to 2008, this time period was the peak time of this college for all the courses especially computer science and mechanical but after the recession, situation had changed. I joined this college in 2010 this was the toughest time for the college because of strikes and almost zero placements. When I got admission (through UPTU) at that time I had no idea about strikes and all. But after joining I got to know all truth about this college. Frankly speak...

Placements: Most of the placements were done in BPO kind of companies. The average package was INR 2.4 Lacs. No internship is offered by the institute. The quality of students was excellent, but the facilitation by the faculty members was not up to the marks. The departmental Head was less concerned with activity essential for departmental upliftment.

Placements: The placements were not that good as we expected. Around 80% of the students from computer science got placed in the current year. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. The number of students who got internships was reduced. Since the college does not support anything, you have to do everything on your own.

Placements: Placements are bad in our college, and around 1 to 2 students get good and core jobs. Most of the companies which visit here are from sales and marketing sectors. There are no separate placements for electrical engineers. Most of the companies recruit any student from any stream. Overall, the placements are very below-average.

Placements: Mostly CS and IT students got Placed in their respective fields. And core branches students face difficulties. Placement drive is average in this college not too good, but in the current situation placement is not good in most of private colleges. So overall average placement for good students.
