A good college which does everything that other colleges do but slightly better.

Placements: The placements at REC are useless in my opinion. To be frank, the students are made to pay the placement training fees and attend their so-called training just to get placed at IT corporates such as TCS and CTS. For namesake, around 60-70 percent of the students get placed but in IT companies irrespective of what department you specialise in. I'm damn sure by now, everyone knows how IT companies treat their trainees and what's the situation over there. I would rate REC 5/10 in placements. You'll...

A good college which offers a good balance between academics and enjoyment of your college life.

Placements: The placements in REC are of the same standards as some of the other colleges in the city with service-based companies coming and recruiting in huge numbers and several product based companies coming to the campus as well. But they usually take up only a few of the deserving candidates. The biggest recruiter is TCS, recruiting close to half of the students sitting for the placements. The core companies too come with offers but only hire the students with the most credentials, and their count is ...

Completely annoying because of faculty and no core placement in any departments.

Placements: In 2018 batch, 379 members are placed in TCS(TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICE) and 12 placed in Wipro. Many companies like Amazon, Zoho, kaar Technologies, SpiralUp Solutions, doodleblue, SysTech Solution, SAP Labs, Sanmina, ZoomRx, Slice Pay, Mphasis, PayPal, Virtusa, MBIT wireless, LYNK Logistics, L&T InfoTech visit the college. The drive is until nov 30. Zoho offers internship stipend ranging from 12k-15k. The last year, i.e., 2017 batch, about 655 students were placed in TCS. Due to trump storm in t...

Absolutely worthy in pursuing engineering here. Best college in Chennai.

Placements: My college is best in providing the placements. Many good companies are recruiting the students, and around 70 percent of them get placed here. I got placed in TCS. But there are many opportunities provided for applying various companies and getting placed. I sincerely thank the management for giving me a great education.

The best place to study, enjoy and to get best placements.

Placements: The placement is the best part of REC. One full week of placement training with accommodation is provided for students before the companies drive and also specific training to crack interview on each company is given. The students with not more than 1 arrear and above 6 CGPA are hired mostly. The offered salary range from 8-9 lakhs to 2.5-3.5 lakhs minimum. Many major companies such as Amazon, Zoho Corporation, TCS, Wipro, Hitachi, Ashok Leyland, etc., have visited the campus for recruitment for...

Good placements in the year 2017.

Placements: Placements were excellent and there were opportunities for all students. Placements will begin during the start of the final year and students are allowed to attend interviews based on eligibility criteria and several off-campus drives take place. Students with a good technical knowledge have the opportunity to get the internship and they are absorbed by the company after the internship programme. A placement training camp will be organised on the college campus and a lot of basic training sessi...

Proud student of REC 2012-2016 mech batch.

Placements: On comparison with previous year placement records, our batch's placement was good and the percentage of placed students has been increased. I wouldn't say our college has achieved 100% placement record but fairly everyone who passed out in time was placed. In Tata Consultancy Services company alone, 70% of students were placed, of which, 40% were mechanical students. Companies from IT sector, mechanical field, electrical company visited for placement. Our college even arranged off-campus placem...

Rajalakshmi Engineering College - The world needs you.

Placements: The best placements happen at Rajalakshmi Engineering College. The placement department officers are very friendly and they are pondering a huge amount of knowledge on what companies would want to come for students. They conduct many events every year right from personality development to entrepreneur culture development. They even help in pursuing internships with good stipends at different companies. Almost 20% of the students have got internship opportunities at various top notch companies....

REC - Real review and knowledge of our experience.

Placements: Most of the student got placed in TCS, Wipro and Tech Mahindra. Some of them were placed in very good companies like Zoho, and Hitachi solutions. The highest salary offered is 6 LPA and the lowest salary offered is 3 LPA. Stipend given to one of my seniors is about 15000 per month and some of the students got an internship in Zoho. The placement is not that great. REC has a good understanding with many MNCs.

REC is a gem of a college.

Placements: The placements were excellent. A lot of companies participated in the placements, right from TCS, Infosys, L&T Infotech, L&T, IBM, Omega Health Care, Sutherland, Flipkart, Board Ex Pvt. Ltd. and many others. You will be surprised by the kind of placements they provide. All you got to do is study with all your heart, clear your seventh semester with around 8.00 CGPA and you will have a direct entry in TCS, since my college has a tie-up with TCS.

Satisfied with the placements

Placements: The placements are decent if you have a CGPA of about 7.5 or higher. Almost more than 60% of the students got placed either in an IT corp or at a Core Organisation. Special camps were conducted to create awareness among students about the placements and training were provided to tackle interviews. The placed department is more concerned with number of students placed in IT Corporate than the students being placed in their respective core fields.

REC at its best if you are the best.

Placements: Awesome placement services is rendered to the RECians. But ensure that you don't posses arrears more than 12 papers. IT companies come in bunch and recruit our students. TCS is the major recruiter with 613 students in the year 2016. If you have a good CGPA, you are surely placed. But don't expect any core companies for circuit branches.

My college is one among the top colleges in the Chennai circle when it comes to the automobile engineering department. My college has the best student to faculty ratio as per AICTE norms. I would recommend others to join this college. For academics, my college is good but when it comes to hostels, it is horrible. The food that they provide in the mess is really bad. For students who want to join this college don't take the hostel.

I was motivated to join this college as it was one of the best colleges for automobile engineering in the region. The faculty was just average. The infrastructure was comparatively better than other colleges for the stream I studied. A few industrial tie ups were present in our college. The knowledge imparted by the college was good and we got some industrial exposure as well. Regarding placements, almost 80% of the college students were placed but mostly of the IT sector only. This is one of the best college in my surroundings. REC is the best college. They give enough freedom to students unlike other college.

They are very helpful and we gained a lot of knowledge from them. Overall, the college is good. However, it would be nice if they reduce the fee a little bit.

Nice college with a greenish surrounding. The negative aspect is the food provided in the canteen. Well trained staffs with all lab facilities. Good placement provided to all students and training placement are also provided to all students. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. Good transport facility provided to the students. Library facility for all students and hostel facility provided for all students coming from other places.

The college has excellent infrastructure for extra-curricular activities including 2 cricket grounds, 2 volleyball courts and a basketball court. It also has excellent library facilities featuring all the major publications of text books and reference books thereby providing ample opportunities for the student’s growth. The lab facilities are also good whereby they have even trainer flights for the course. The placements are negative because the bulk of the companies are only from the IT sector....

REC has a huge infrastructure and is located a few kilometers away from the city. The faculty here is well qualified and experienced. The crowd is very friendly and most of them are locals of the city. On the negative front, the college is located away from the city which sometimes is a hindrance for students to commute to the city. Also the food available in and around the campus is not very great.
