B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2023

Good infrastructure but lacking good staff.
Placements: Above 7 CGPA all are eligible for sit-in interviews. The highest package is 4. 5 LPA. Above 7 CGPA students got internships in good companies. Four engineering courses are there civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and ECE.
Infrastructure: Hostels are provided for junior girls and boys. Provides good Wi-Fi internet connections, and smarts classroom are there. Lots of high knowledge gaining books are there in the library. A canteen is also provided in the college for students and staff members of the college.
Faculty: Teachers are good and very helpful and friendly and they are also highly qualified. The teaching quality is good. The curriculum is relevant to make the students industry-ready. Exams are tough. But students who study deeply clear exams easily. Around 40% is a passing percentage.
Other: I choose mechanical engineering because this field is a very vast scope in the future we can easily switch to any industry. Only technical skills and communication skills should be better to improve our course. Annually fest is organised .

Our college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment.
Placements: There is no placement offered by our college. So I can not say about the percentage of students getting placed or the highest salary package offered. As the college is situated in rural areas so there is too less chance of getting placed and few companies come.
Infrastructure: The college has all the necessary infrastructure and labs and facilities, the ones that are required in any technical and management institute must possess. The living spaces are clean. Also, the food available outside the college is hygienic and healthy.
Faculty: If you are belonging to a middle-class family then it's a better college for you there is no regular class only you have to go for your college exam and practical exam. Overall to me, it is not the best college and I don't recommend it to all my friends and other students.

Review of Rajiv Gandhi Government Engineering College.
Placements: It is the best college for engineering in Himachal Pradesh. There are no companies except some software recruitment companies which hire from all the branches. Moreover, it has a very good campus and authority. I have done the mechanical engineering batch of 2018.
Infrastructure: This college does not provide a playground. The library and hostels are under construction but going to be the best in Himachal. The campus is large and it has a separate building for all the branches. The condition of the classroom and laboratories are very good and made very beautifully.
Faculty: It is more than enough for an engineering graduate. The mechanical engineering course from this institute is not that much useful. This college should have provided opportunities for students to join some better companies and industries. During the training last semester, it is very hard to go to the company. The curriculum should have been better in making mechanical engineering a realistic one to get them ready for any type of work.
Other: A lot of events are held every year, and it is the best college for one who is a volunteer.

Our college is good in terms of education.
Placements: Our college was newly opened at our time. Our batch is the 1st batch of our college in the mechanical engineering branch. The placement drives were not held in our college during our session in the college.
Infrastructure: Our college was newly opened. The infrastructure and facilities were insufficient. Our college has a library, and the number of books was not sufficient. Labs don't have enough instruments. Wi-Fi facility was not available on campus. Hostels were newly built. The girl's hostel has been completely built and 2 hostels are in contention. The canteen facility was available in our college. Our college provided us with games and sports facilities.
Faculty: Almost all teachers were helpful. Their main focus is on academics and the syllabus is completed on time. The final semester exams are set by HPTU university for all colleges in Himachal Pradesh, deemed under the state government university HPTU. The paper level is high, so without studying students can't pass the exam. Around 20-40% is the pass percentage in 4 starting semesters but succeeding semesters have good pass percentages. Since lab facilities are not good enough so they have good theoretical knowledge.
Other: Our college should improve technology-equipment, based on the new developing world so the students get accustomed to it and can get enough skills to get a good job. Fests like art, culture, and technology are organised in our college. Our college has many clubs. I was vice president of robotics clubs in our college.
