Q:   Can I get into Ramjas College without CUET?

A:

No, Ramjas College admission to all the courses, i.e., undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, is entrance-based. While this DU-affiliated college accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses, such as BSc, BA and BCom admission to all the postgraduate courses is subject to the CUET- PG exam starting admission 2023. Ramjas College along with DU started accepting CUET UG starting 2022 and the CUET PG from 2023 session onward. Before this, admission to undergraduate was based on merit in Class 12 and PG admission was mostly subject to DUET exam previously conducted by DU.

Q:   Is Ramjas College good for Certificate?

A:
{Source: Certificate students & alumni}

Based on the feedback provided by students and alumni, here's what we found:

* Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, with large classrooms, a big ground, a canteen, a library, and a medical room. However, the Wi-Fi facility is limited.
* Teaching: Teachers are helpful and supportive, with good teaching skills and qualifications. They use different techniques to engage students and communicate effectively.
* Course Curriculum: The curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry. It covers the basics of Japanese, including Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji.
* Placements: While there may be limitations for Diploma holders, around 55-60% of students get placed, and the highest salary package offered is INR4.5 LPA.
* Certificate Course: As a certificate course, no package is offered, and students need to further study and obtain a Diploma for job prospects. However, students can pursue careers in French translation companies, guiding services, or teaching.

Overall, while Ramjas College has its strengths and weaknesses, it appears to be a decent option for those pursuing a certificate course in French. However, students must be aware of the limitations and plan accordingly for their career goals.

Q:   Is B.Sc. at Ramjas College a good choice?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on student and alumnus feedback, here's a summary:

Pros:

* Good infrastructure, including Wi-Fi enabled campus, well-equipped labs, and modern classrooms.
* Knowledgeable and helpful faculty, with many being experts in their fields.
* Curriculum relevance to future studies and research opportunities.
* Affordable fees, making it a viable option for many students.
* Vibrant campus culture with events, festivals, and sports facilities.

Cons:

* Limited hostel facilities, leading to a shortage of accommodation for students.
* Placements vary across courses, with few students securing direct placements in their field of study.
* Intermittent internet connectivity issues.
* Some faculty members' lack of engagement and unhelpfulness.
* Limited scholarship opportunities.
* Unclear and unrealistic expectations regarding career prospects.

Placement Situation:

* Placement rates vary across courses, with few students securing direct placements in their field of study.
* Internships are available, but mostly unrelated to the course.
* Average packages are relatively low, ranging from INR2-INR7 Lacs per annum.
* Few companies recruit directly from the college, with most opting for higher education.

Overall:

While Ramjas College has its strengths, particularly in terms of infrastructure and faculty expertise, the placement situation is a concern. Students considering admission should weigh these factors carefully and consider alternative options. Despite limitations, Ramjas remains a decent choice for those seeking a well-rounded education and looking to pursue higher studies.

I really enjoyed my college life, explored my knowledge, met new people, and made friends.
Placements: 60% of students were placed. The highest package offered was 10 Lacs and the lowest 2.5 Lacs. Adecco India was a top recruiter. 80-85% of students got internships in Human Resources. But you have to prepare for the interview, answer questions well, and work on your communication skills too.
Infrastructure: Almost all facilities are available. If you get admission, you'll never face any issue regarding Wi-Fi or food. I would like to say that the chawmin and chili potato are so tasty, please if you would have taken admission, so please try once, you'll never forget the taste.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful and understanding. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and helps to make work easier and explore knowledge. 80-90% of students passed, it's pretty obvious that if you're not prepared, you can't pass the exam, so please prepare yourself for the exam.
Other: I was quite interested in my course, wanted to explore knowledge. Need to add some more topics. Yes, almost all fests were celebrated.

A good place to get exposure and grow your intellect.
Placements: In my course, there were 284 students. Out of that, 124 took college placement, and the remaining went for their further studies. The highest package was 13 lac per year, and the lowest was 467,000 per annum . India polls political consultancy. Most of us did internships in the 2nd year in Aaj Tak and India Today group.
Infrastructure: We had all the amenities which were required for a better growth of intellect. Our class was in a basic room with a capacity of 45 students and 2 ac with WiFi and a projector . In our campus, there was a canteen, a playground, and an indoor ground too. The hostel was good, even the food was moderate.
Faculty: Professors were too interactive and too qualified to be just teachers . I don’t think so. Pol science is relevant in India because on the ground you can’t get a good job; you have to have further degrees or go for a startup or gov jobs like UPSC. Semester exams were just a copy and paste of last year’s questions.

Slightly satisfied with the faculty, but not with the placements.
Placements: My course does not actually provide that many opportunities for all the students to get placement. The only option for political science students is to get placement in the teaching line by qualifying the eligibility test for the center or for the state teacher but you can apply for most of the government jobs.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is not available for the students. There is a Wi-Fi on campus but it is password protected and if the student somehow knows the password, then the speed is not satisfying. The classrooms are quite decent but not digitalized. The library is good with lots of books but having an old infrastructure hostel is very good. They are very affordable and worth spending money on, but they have to face competition to get admission .
Faculty: All the teachers are very qualified, having more than 20 years of experience. Some of them are very bad at teaching; they speak without thinking that the student is getting something or not but some are really good. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant but does not make it industry-ready. Semester exams are not so difficult but they are lengthy. Around 40 percent are passing marks.
Other: I chose this course because I want to spend so much time on studies and get a degree that belongs to a science background but I am still getting comfortable in the arts surroundings. The syllabus must be reduced and the reading should be easy to understand. Last year there were no events because there was no council but this year events are happening and they are very good and even we are going to have an annual festival in college very soon.

Best days and time of my life.
Placements: 60% of students were placed, with packages ranging from 2 to 10 LPA. Companies like GI Services recruited, and 50-60% of students got internships with Pro HR Complete Solutions in management. I still remember my first interview; I was so afraid, but the interviewer was incredibly kind—I have no words to describe him.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, and a library with the best books are available. I love the canteen; the food is amazing, and the medical facilities are very good. The staff is kind and helpful, always ready to assist students, and sometimes they even provide special discounts.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable and helpful, though a bit strict. The course curriculum is excellent, and the teaching methods are good. The pass percentage is 80%, but exams are challenging if you're not prepared. Don’t worry; if you attend all classes carefully, you’ll succeed and clear the exams easily.

If you want a good college life, come to Ramjas.
Placements: Ramjas College placement cell is not very focused on arts streams. Most of the students were placed in commerce courses, so I am not satisfied with the Ramjas placement cell. Even students from commerce are placed in the Zomato company as career launchers.
Infrastructure: I am not very aware of college hostels because I am staying in an outdoor flat. But by having information from my friends, the college hostel provides a comfortable atmosphere for those who are dedicated to their careers. The food and room are too good. The college hostel is available for top-scoring students .
Faculty: The depth of Ramjas was amazing. Instead of just providing knowledge from the book, they are making students aware of politically correct or incorrect terms. Students were capable of criticizing the ideologies or concepts.
Other: I actually took this course because I am interested in this subject and the atmosphere that I get from Ramjas is not hectic. I enjoy each and every semester. Ramjas also help me to make many changes, which helps to modify my behavior. My class was too good. Everyone considers all their friends as friends instead of discriminating against them.
