MBA in Construction Project Management - Batch of 2019
Offered by RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University, Mumbai
4.6

Best college for construction management.
Placements: From the 3rd semester, students are eligible for placements. The placement criteria are to have above a 6.0 pointer in attempted semesters and maintain the grade till the end of the course. The highest package is 28 Lacs, offered by a Dubai-based real estate company, and the minimum package is 3.8 Lacs from BIM Construction. 50% of students get placed in Indian companies, 20% in Gulf countries, and the remaining are still waiting for opportunities.
Infrastructure: The college is located in a crowded area, and there is a lot of road noise during the daytime with heavy traffic. AMINOVA is the biggest fest organized on campus, usually in April. The library has ample books related to the course and also provides web and internet facilities for study purposes. Each classroom has a 55-student capacity, and they are all kept very clean. The campus has two hostels for girls and boys, with a TV and indoor game lab in the hostel. Hostel rooms are spacious enough for 2 students, but the rules are very strict. I like the mess food, as it’s balanced with carbs and protein.
Faculty: This course provides technical knowledge of management tools, materials, new technologies, and management techniques. It is an upgraded version of civil engineering. Each faculty member gives grades to 30 students weekly based on study and homework completion. Teaching is good, and teachers clear concepts by giving examples. Exams are not difficult if the concepts are clear. Both internal and final exams are conducted at the college, and clearing them is not too difficult.
Other: Very few colleges offer this course. I did some research before taking admission and found that this course suited me, so I chose it.

Good infrastructure and well managed structure, focus on maximum education-rich Environment.
Placements: 80% students were placed in our course. The highest salary was 12000 AED, the lowest was Rs. 3.75 lac and average package was Rs. 4.0 lac. Top recruiting companies were AECOM, ANAROCK, COLLIERS. Top roles were Construction Project Manager and Project Analyst. The highest package was 12000 AED, the lowest Package was Rs. 3.75 Lacs, and Average package was Rs. 4.0 Lacs for our course.
90% of the students got internship through our college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure having aesthetic look, Wi-Fi campus, Well organised Lab, Neat and clean classrooms, and well-equipped library. Hostel was with free Wi-Fi facility, Quality of food in the mess was good, canteens were the best places, medical facilities were also there, grounds were available for outdoor games and also for indoor games and activities.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and each faculty having expertise in there subjects, each faculty having enough knowledge for each and every doubts, teaching quality was best. Course curriculum was relevant and beneficial for us to know each and every aspect of Construction Project Management.
Other: I chose this course for getting professional experience about Construction Project Management. The best thing was the site visits and events realted to Construction or real estate sector. More industrial visits and practical lessons will be helpful for improving the course. All the cultural activities were organised and getting awful response from the campus.

Review of RICS School of Built Environment.
Placements: 98% of students were placed. The highest package is 28 LPA, the lowest is 5.7 LPA, and the average is 7 LPA. AWFIS, CBRE, Savills, Turner & Townsend, C&W, Vestian, Vishwaraj SPCL, Atkins, GMR, GR, and startups are the top recruiters. An internship was offered to all students as it is mandatory. Students can opt out of campus internships and placements. Most of the roles offered were related to construction project management.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good, but AC doesn't work sometimes. The library is quite spacious, and once registered, you can issue books. Wi-Fi is okayish, network is also okayish, and overall infrastructure should be improved. The hostel is also fine; 2 people share a room, while 6 / 8 people share dorms, which means 6 or 8 people share washrooms and a common basin. A night canteen facility is available. Wardens are quote fine, and you'll have to take outpass every time you go out. If it's for a day, then day passes; if you'll be coming the next day, then it's night pass.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. From 2022 to 23, which was my 1st year, academics were good, but the quality dropped too much in the 2nd year. The course curriculum is very relevant, helps us a lot, and prepares us for our professional lives. Semester exams will be held once a semester, and all marks will be calculated based on assignments, which have to be submitted at the end or stages depending on faculty.
Other: Campus life is okay. The biggest festival is AMIVA, usually held in April, which will be for a week with an event every day. It'll have competitions also, and students will be awarded. There will be a sports competition that will be conducted in September where clusters will be competing against each other. Each cluster will have a minimum of 3 schools that will be completing against other clusters either single or group games.

The packages are satisfying. We are also given opportunities for internship for personal growth and development. The placement cell is very efficient and trustworthy.
Infrastructure: We have highly equipped and developed labs for us to use. They have all the required programs and software for us to use. The classrooms are good. We are encouraged for sports and other activities, too which helps in overall development. The college also has 24 hours facility for medical emergencies.
Faculty: The curriculum is designed in such a way that it gives equal emphasis on theory as well as practical knowledge. The assignments given to us helps us learn the modules taught to us better. We are given industry exposure to learn more about the world of construction and it's functioning.
