Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Is B.Tech at Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology better than Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University?

A:

Renowned universities offering B.Tech programs include the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. Faculty members with extensive training and expertise mentor students. However, the reason why Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is superior to Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is that its placement rate is higher than that of SLIET, with a growth rate of roughly 30% compared to 10% at SLIET. Moreover, SLIET offers packages between INR 4 and 19 lakhs, while Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers packages between INR 4.5 and 25 lakhs.

Q:   What is the admission process of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology?

A:

The SLIET admission waltz is degree-specific, with each step representing a classy pirouette toward your academic goals. JEE Mains is your grand entrance for B.E.; it's the music that directs your seating arrangement in JoSAA's counseling ballet. Once selected, your seat is confirmed by a fee pirouette and document verification. M.Tech candidates learn the GATE tango, whereas ICD programs swing to the beat of their own entrance exam, SET. Direct admittance may be the only spotlight for some M.Tech jewels. Recall that the dance has more steps to it with lateral entry and DASA programs for international students. For the most recent updates, visit the official choreographer's website at SLIET. Additionally, don't be afraid to get in touch with the Admissions office; they will help you navigate every smooth turn until you reach the ideal academic stage at SLIET.

Infrastructure: Our department infrastructure is pretty good. Almost all the classes have good Wi-Fi connectivity and the labs are well-equipped with all the necessary equipment. Faculty: Our teachers are excellent. They are supportive and have enough knowledge to make you field-perfect. Almost all the teachers will teach you perfectly. Our department is the best in teaching quality in our college. It makes a student industrially ready for sure. Semester exams are not that tough, they are good. We have 2 minor exams, 2 quizzes and one major exam with practical exams.
Other: I chose this course as per my interest in food science and technology. Our course is pretty different from other engineering courses. In our course, you have to study subjects like food microbiology, food quality, dairy engineering, food biotechnology and so many more. Our college has different events and festivals like Madhuram. Our cultural festivals and tech festivals, which are technical festivals. Campus crowd is made up of about 5000 students and another 1,000 teaching and non-teaching staff. Scholarships are available for students who have good grades in their academics.

SLIET is in a very good environment.
Placements: Many students who are interested in food technology study the food trade. The highest package is INR 8 lakh, and the average package is INR 2.4 lakh. The top recruiting companies are Coca-Cola, Nestle, and Britania. If a class has 40 students, then highly qualified 35 students can easily get the job.
Infrastructure: All types of facilities are available, like wifi, labs, smart classes, and good professors, and all types of materials are provided through our block. And many types of fests, tests, and cultural events are organized from time to time. Mess food is not so good, but not very bad.
Faculty: Our professors are very helpful by nature; they teach us about our studies and also about our daily lives. They are well qualified. The semester exam is a little bit hard, but not so hard that if a student only listens to what the teacher is saying, he or she can easily pass the exam.
Other: I have been interested in this course since I started because people can survive without anything except food, and my work never stops.
