Good thing is awesome aura of education, learned faculty and excellent placements. Good infrastructure, facilities and crowd. But it’s very expensive and also lacks to give practical exposure. Faculty is knowledgeable and very helpful. I would definitely recommend others to join this college.

UPES is a beautifully located university which mainly focuses on core sector domains. The courses are designed with a degree of specialization and the course plan resonates with the modern industrial requirement trends. Being and Applied Petroleum Engineer (with upstream specialization) from UPES, I would mention that the university has adequate teaching resources with well-equipped laboratories and industry experienced faculty. UPES has collaborations with a number of international universiti...

The Engineering college of the university located at a beautiful picturesque location boasts of some specialized branches. Wearing uniform is a menace for some and convenience for others. College culture and study environment is great. Discipline and attendance is given utmost importance so activities like ragging, smoking regular mass bunks are highly impossible. It has many specialized branches but still many students are placed in IT companies. Overall placement for each branch reaches close ...

One of the best universities for students interested in taking up a career in Oil & Gas sector , be it students in pursuit of B.Tech, M.Tech , BBA , MBA & LLB . For students interested in taking risks, the university has various off the beat branches in computer science . The college has various appealing branches like B.Tech in Mechatronics with proper exposure to automation in the campus itself. Courses like Bachelor in Design & Masters in Design are also appealing. I would recommend that stud...

College has a good infrastructure with not so good, not so bad faculty. The facilities provided are sufficient. The college charges a high fee, only this being a disadvantage. Located in the foothills of Mussourie, it provides perfect place for nature lovers. Some branches of this college are very good including B tech APE Upstream, APE Gas, Chemical Engineering and Automotive Design being the top ones. The specialty of most of the branches is that a specialization course has been added with the...

Probably spent the most valuable years of my life here; good experienced faculty if you want to learn (especially for petroleum engineering and earth sciences). The campus is one of the best in the country with state of the art facilities. Add to that you have good placements.. What more can one ask for ? Negatives: Stringent with policies and attendance. Far off from city (being close to nature may not make you feel good for 4 years on a trot)

It’s a good college with good campus, nice and supportive faculty. It’s been a great opportunity to be here. Some drawbacks are there like internet facilities, partiality. But in short it is good in many. It also provides with good projects as well.

It’s a very nice college with greenery all around which attract the most. It’s quite an expensive college with good faculty and crowd. One can find a projector in every room. Average placement is of about 3-4 lacs. Companies like Infosys, Bosch, Wipro, Mahindra, and TCS etc. visit campus for placements.

UPES is a UGC & DEC recognized Institute. This is India's as well as Asia's only core sector university so comparing with other colleges and university won't be fair as they have a unique name in the core Industry. Moreover they have decent hostel facilities with wi fi enabled rooms. The college has good facilities, study environment and experienced faculty. Their curriculum is also industry oriented. They had pretty fair placements records even in the days of recession. You can try at http://bit...

Good to gain knowledge with lots of fun and something to learn during the fest of the college. Teachers are very helpful. They motivate and encourage students. Placements are up to the mark. Average campus facilities. Seniors help a lot in learning and teaching juniors new things.

Very good faculty and nice campus environment.

Placements: The highest placement package is maybe 5Lkhs but the work experience will be good . The recruiting companies for aerospace include TATRA , Adani Power , Accenture , ONGC , Vedanta and others . The percentage of students getting internships can vary on students interest and experience or skill . However UPES provides a variety of opportunities to students for internship and industry exposure .

The college environment was very friendly and everything is available easily there.

Placements: In placement, packages were around 40000 and maximum was 80000, IT companies came for recruitment. 60% students were placed in campus. Maximum students got placement in good companies, placement of college is better than other places nearly every one gets placement in a good companies so don't worry about the placement because placement is too good.

It is a good college, but it can be better.

Placements: Many national and international firms visit our college for placements and internships. Companies focusing on a particular branch also visit our college like Mahindra, and they generally approach our college for mechanical and mechanical related branches.

Review of School of Engineering, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.

Placements: About 70% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 3 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course were Padmini, LTI, Jaro, Byju's and Hyundai. Almost every student got an internship from our course mostly on their own source in companies like Padmini, Siemens, Maruti Suzuki, etc.

College life is good, lots of place to chill. Far from city, less polluted area.

Placements: During theses days placement for mechanical students is not easy to get. The lowest package is 3 Lacs per annum. Actually I'm not too confident about how many recruiting companies are there for my course. College provide a choice for internship programme whether you want to do self internship or from College.

It is a good college in its own way.

Placements: This course was started a year ago. As the university provides specialisation, it makes the students more clear about what they want to focus on and also what they have to improve too. We are the second batch of the course. Placements are still not a part of B.Sc for now, as there is one more year for the first batch to pass out. Internships are being provided too as per the student interest.

Facilities are the best on this campus.

Placements: Mostly all students are placed. The highest salary package offered maybe around 20 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Almost 100% of the students go for an internship, and some students also get PPO, i.e., pre-placement offer. Many companies come on the campus, and you have a good opportunity to get placed on the campus.

Placements: More than 80 students get placed or else opt for GATE exam from our course. Many companies visit here to give internships like BHEL, NTPC, etc. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA.

It is an average college because of some rude faculty members and college administrative system.

Placements: Placements in our college are average for petroleum branches as very few companies visit here for them. Still, placements are very good as college manage to invite consultancy companies like TCS and Accenture. The average salary package offered ranges from 3 LPA to 7 LPA, which is very less compared to college fees. Overall, according to students, placements are very low in the petroleum sector. The basic companies like Hexagon, Esri, TCS, Cybertech, etc., visit here for placements.

Heaven in foothills come and be a part of this prestigious university.

Placements: Placements are good, and for some people, those are the worst. Depending upon the availability of companies which visit and depending upon the quality of batch, the placements vary. This year, many companies visited, and some are about to visit. The companies provide opportunities, and it depends on students to get placed.
