Good in extracurricular activities but seems poor in placement.

Placements: The placements are not satisfactory. There are fewer companies. The students also get very few chances, and not even in the IT companies. The companies which had a tie-up with the university also did not consider the branch. So, the college should have ensured that every student gets a placement.

UPES quality only in petroleum branches.

Placements: The placement here are very good, who are related to petroleum branch. Also, there are many division in CIT, so top branches even get the placement with the package of 4-5 lacs per annum easily. In few lower branches, few companies come, and the company mass recruiters offer at an average package of 3-4 lacs per annum. The safest branch is fire and safety, where there is a 100% placement with the minimum package of 5 lacs per annum. The scholarship is awarded to one-tenth of top students. ...

A review of the university.

Placements: The placement sector in my field is a good one and hope to be the best in the future. Also, the need for automotive engineers has increased a lot in the today's world. So for us its the best one. The placements for other streams are also good, hearing it from the seniors we people get a good feeling. Hope for the best.

This is a perfect place if you want to study in a good environment and a beautiful place.

Placements: As far as we talk about the placements in the University of Petroleum and Energy studies, it is quite good, and most of the students get placed. The package offered to the students varies from company to company. For example, some companies give package around Rs. 3 lakhs per annum and on the other hand, some companies also give Rs. 12 lakhs to Rs. 14 lakhs. So it depends on the companies and also on the students.

Absolutely satisfied in terms of infrastructure, faculty and industry exposure.

Placements: They are good in other fields but not in terms of aerospace. In regards to petroleum and computer science engineering, the placements are good, but for aerospace they are meagre. Salary in the respective varies from average to high depending on students capability.

Review of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies

Placements: The placement in a core company completely depends on the market since there is a recession in the past year. The placement is not up to the mark but then also, some students manage to get 9 lakhs this year and 18 lakhs the year before. Some of the main recruiters include Reliance, Exon Mobil, LNT Pipelines, Mahindra Power, Schlumberger, etc.

Satisfied because of faculty, placements are average and location is breathtaking.

Placements: The placements offered in the college are good. Also, depends on the branch to branch. For some branches like APE and ADE, the packages offered are good enough. The students get 100% placements in FSE. There are opportunities for ASE as well along with good internships. Aerospace branch requires a higher education. Cannot think of, amazing packages after B.Tech.

I am dissatisfied with the placements, but the faculty, infrastructure and environment are good.

Placements: The placements were not good. There are few companies related to the aerospace industries, which come to this college. The companies which came didn’t give that much good package. Getting internship from the college is a difficult task as it is solely dependent on the pointer, which you score during your semester exams.

The placements are not being good for us.

Placements: The placements are not good. It's hard for us to believe in all these even for our hard work. The placement for the previous batch has not been good, any of the companies have selected null students from the previous batch. In the prospectus, which we have got was mentioned that companies like Tech Mahindra, Bombardier and Boeing gives the placement but there is no result. So it's been bad for us.

UPES is a good college providing a lot of opportunities.

Placements: The placements were not that good. Very few companies came for our course and hardly a few students were selected by the in campus placement companies. Internships were offered to most of the students, and the average stipend was offered to them remains unknown.

I'm satisfied with this college. I guess this is the best college which I can get.

Placements: As shown on our college page the placement offered for the APE batch is quite good as always. This year also many companies visited and recruited the number of students. Although those students who are poor in studying also got placed in some or the other company. Finally, the placement is for sure, and rest depends on your quality.

Partially satisfied because of the efforts they are making to be better.

Placements: This year placements were quite decent. Almost 60% of the seniors were placed, and about 10% were placed on the core . The average package was about 10 LPA and the highest being 30 LPA. Rolls Royce and Mahindra being the major companies to visit the college.

Life at UPES. The innovation starts from here.

Placements: Well, UPES serves very good in terms of placement. Just the fact that aerospace is not much good right now in India, few companies visit UPES. But it is not that people don't get placed from aerospace. They do, but only the diligence ones. Around 60% of the students were placed from UPES of other branches like chemical and FSE with the good salary package.

Really good infrastructure but not enough opportunities, practical knowledge is not given.

Placements: If I talk about my branch, the placements are very poor. Last year hardly five students were given on-campus placements. The average salary offered to students lies between 4-5 lakhs per annum. Only a few good students get internships from college. The placements are good in some of the branches.

The college is worthy, and has cool atmosphere and weather.

Placements: The placements are good for fire and safety engineering. The companies like Reliance, Petrotech Gujarat, Amazon, Flipkart comes to the college to hire the students. The companies like Microsoft, IBM(mass recruiter), etc., also have been visiting for the placement of the CIT(computer science) students.

UPES mechatronics review from alumni (2011-15) batch.

Placements: 75% students of B.Tech mechatronics (2011-15) were placed in the placements. A major chunk of it got into Infosys and IBM. Rest of the students went on for further studies to Germany, US, and the UK. The placement department is very helpful in all matters ranging from internships to placements.

The placements are not very satisfying. The faculty is amazing and the examination pattern is bad.

Placements: The placements in our branch are not really satisfying. Even the companies of our domain which visit our college pick very few students. The salary offered is very average. But the placement records for other branches have been really good. Especially the CS, IT branches have a very good placement record. The packages offered are also good.

UPES : Best for petroleum engineering.

Placements: In the last three years, the placement scenario for this course is almost 100% percent. I must mention that number of students being placed in core petroleum sector is decreasing as petroleum industry is currently undergoing in a bad phase. So most of the students are getting placed in IT and other industries. The average salary offered is about 5 lakhs per annum.

I love UPES. Placements are really good and as it is situated in foothills of himalayas.

Placements: The placements of the college had been very good in recent years. Students are offered high packages and we expect the same in upcoming years. The placement opportunities provided to the students of this college are much better than the other institutions as of now. Many students who are in the current batch have been placed in various reputed companies.

You choose your own mountains to climb

Placements: The university provides good placement offers to students who work hard throughout the 4 years. It doesn't have to be all about academics, it is also about knowledge maybe through research papers, national or international competitions or even workshops and conferences. The off-campus placement has also been really great for over-achievers.
