Satisfied with the college faculty and infrastructure, but still, there are some loopholes.

Placements: Most of the students were placed in other companies, but very few got placed in core companies. The average package was around 4 lakhs per annum while the highest package was around 10 lakhs per annum. Many companies visited our college, but very few visited for the core domain of aerospace and avionics. Most students get placement in IT companies. The internship given to our seniors is appreciable. The opportunities were great but are limited to some students and their financial conditions.

UPES is now growing to a great height of achievement and we wish our college for its success

Placements: Talking about the placement in ASE-AVE, it is not up to the mark, as the aerospace industry is in its initial stage and therefore it will take time to grow. "Make in India" is kind of the last option for us. The placement should be done on the basis of what kind of practical knowledge a student learned in their particular branch in their 4 years. I think that makes a huge difference between engineers and skilled engineers.

At last I had to choose between Amity Noida and UPES, and I think my choice was correct.

Placements: The placements are good. Companies are coming but sometimes the people don't meet their criteria. Although the placements are pretty good. In every branch, there are companies of their domain or other domains. But if a company is coming from the aerospace sector, it is one of best in the sector. People sometimes say that the placement depends upon the college but if the college is providing a platform at its level best and you cannot meet the criteria, then it's your fault. You should increase ...

Great faculty, par excellence support for R&D, yet no value given to students

Placements: The placements, especially for our branch didn't go great. There are 5 branches of mechanical engineering with specializations, mechatronics engineering and automotive design engineering. All of the branches with an average of 80 students in each branch are sitting for common placements. Great companies come with great packages, but the competition is very high.

Review Of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies

Placements: There had been very few placements for the last years. But internship opportunities in foreign university is very good. One of my senior got a job in General motors. Six of my classmates got internship opportunities in France. Some of the student going to France got PhD offers.

A place, where you won't miss the opportunities.

Placements: I am currently in the third year. 40% of the students got placed in my senior batch till now. The highest package offered is eight lacs per annum, and the lowest was three lacs per annum. The companies that visited to recruit were Phillips Carbon Black, Larsen & Toubro, Schlumberger, Reliance. The students were offered to work as a chemical engineer whereas most of them were offered a field job. 80% of the students were provided with the internships from the college. The opportunities and environment that college provides to the students is something commendable.

Placements: Considering the market crash after the year 2015 and its effect on oil and gas industries, the placements for our senior batch were decently good, and for our batch, it is ongoing. Around 80-90% of our branch got placed with the average package of 6 LPA. MNC’s like Schlumberger, Shell India, etc. visit our campus for recruitment.

Very costly and rubbish for a study place, unsatisfied.

Placements: Genuinely speaking, don't opt for this college. For completing 4 years of the program in UPES, you have to spend at least 15 Lakhs. But in placements, the highest package is 6 to 8 LPA and average is about 4 LPA. Very few students opt for GATE and IES and rest get a low-quality job in IT sector with CTC of 3 to 3.5 LPA. Almost, 80 percent of the students of my senior batch got placed but the average package offered was only about 4 LPA. Core companies do not visit the college. You don't need to ...

The college is good enough if you want study and work hard but it can be nightmare if not serious.

Placements: The placements for automotive design engineering are generally good. Almost all the students are placed in core companies. But due to demonetization, last year, we saw some decline in the placements. But still, more than half of the class was placed. The placement included roles in R&D, production, marketing and even sales.

Overall, a good upcoming college with average placements.

Placements: Placements were decent in terms of the average package. The number of companies that came for computer science was more in comparison to other streams. While the normal package varied around 3 lakhs per annum, some companies offered higher CTC as well such as Halliburton, Shell, etc. which came to the campus for specific roles and specific streams. Higher packages generally go for streams like APE upstream, downstream, and chemical.

You will come out with an enhanced personality but with no surety of getting a job.

Placements: Placements were quite fine. Many of the good companies like Maruti0Suzuki, Hyundai, L&T, FANUC, APAR Industries, KPIT, IBM and some more either visited the campus or called students at their venue for placements. But you are never assured in the end whether will you be placed or not. Frankly, placements are good but not as good as they were before 3-4 years. The highest package offered to us was 6 LPA by Maruti-Suzuki and Hyundai, while the rest of the companies came up with a package of around ...

The placements in my batch were reduced by almost 20%.

Placements: Placement of my batch was low, approximately 50%-60%. The highest salary offered was 6.5LPA and the lowest was 3LPA. Companies which visited were Hyundai, Maruti, Tata Technologies, Mahindra and Mahindra, KPIT, Hi-Tech Robotics, TCI, etc. Roles offered were GET or sales profile. Almost 90% students were offered internship from the college. Stipend offered was on an average of Rs. 5000 per month.

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies review.

Placements: 90 to 95% of our seniors got placed. The placement is very good since almost every student for applied petroleum engineering gets placed. The package offered by the companies depend on the market conditions since petroleum market conditions are really volatile. When the market conditions are good, numerous core companies come for the placement process and they provide an average package between 6-8 lakhs. When the market is down, a few core companies come and the average package drops to 4-5 lak...

UPES is good but not worth the fees.

Placements: Placements are good but depend on branch to branch. In many branches, placements are for namesake as most of the students go to IT companies. Also, they have started taking more and more students so the quality and no of placements are decreasing exponentially. The placement department though makes efforts to get maximum placed but it solely depends on the individual how active he/she is and how he/she can prove they are better for everyone.

Placements this year are better than the last. Great environment and infrastructure to learn.

Placements: Looking at the status of my seniors' batch, I can say the placements are good. Around 80-90 % students are already placed in either core companies or the IT companies. Companies that have visited till now: Weatherford, Shell, L&T Hydrocarbon, Mahindra Tech, Infosys and Tieto. Office and field jobs have both been offered. Highest package: around 30 lakh per annum by Weatherford. Lowest package: 2.5 lakh by Infosys. The college gets all the students internships in the 6th sem (in ONGC mostly) but...

Placements: I am in the second batch so till now, no placement graph is available. In the next year, our first batch will be placed. In our related branch power systems engineering, the placement this year is not so good. Approximately 50-60% students were placed till this month and more companies are coming, so I wish that the remaining will be placed.

Good placements for petroleum, getting overpriced every coming year!

Placements: Since I belong to the Petroleum Stream, I will be confined to the petroleum branch only. I am placed in Weatherford International, Dubai and my CTC is 27 LPA with 6 months work and 6 months off. The placements are influenced by the dynamics of the oil and gas market. While the market was in a good scenario, there were commendable placements, reputed companies like Schlumberger, Cairn India, Shell India, Reliance Industries etc. are regular recruiters. The maximum salary ranges between 25-30 LPA...

Placements: The placements are good. Almost every student in the petroleum department placed with an average package. Some good companies come every year, but only a few selected with decent packages. Companies like Schlumberger, Weatherford and BP, come for campus placements while some students go for off-campus placements in companies like Bombay High and Shell as well.
