B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2015
Offered by Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology

If you want to get a degree, then you are welcome here, but placements are unavailable.
Placements: Placements in college are not good. So if you only want to study and get a degree, then it is your kind of college. You will hear about only TCS and some other IT companies when it comes to the placements. If you are in some other branches like mechanical or civil, then you have no scope of placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the front building is good, and that is what is visible from the front. But remaining other department buildings are just built wherever they got the place. The condition of the gym is not good. There was certain fake information at the prospectus related to infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college are good. They are supportive. They are well aware of the conditions and mentality of students which is a very important factor in the present scenario. The college is pretty good when it comes to faculty and studies. Overall it has nice faculty.

Review of SRMSCET, Lucknow.
Placements: Placements in our college were good. There were no 100% placements, but good companies visited the college. The salary package offered was around 2.50 LPA. The college didn't facilitate internships. Students were encouraged to interact with the company executives and were given roles to facilitate them in hiring students. The placement cell was effective and useful.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good with Wi-Fi enabled and well-equipped labs. Wi-Fi routers are placed everywhere on the campus with good bandwidth. Classrooms are spacious and have good quality benches and board. Seminar halls in the college are good. Labs are well-equipped with the latest equipment. Food provided is better than most of the colleges.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Review forms are filled by students at the end of each year to give feedback about faculty members. The college recruits only well-qualified faculty members who have done their post-graduation from premier institutes. Industry exposure provided by the college is good, and industrial trips are organised every year.

Strict for studies and good as compared to other private colleges.
Placements: If you are a mechanical student, you have to work hard at least 4 times more as compared to computer science branches. I am a mechanical student, and I am placed in my core branch (luckily) because placements for ME, EE, EC are less as compared to branches like IT, CS.
Infrastructure: The college has an awesome infrastructure. All the facilities are available, sports, medical, the hostel is good and always serve healthy food. The laboratories are clean and equipped with all required equipment, and numerous computers are there and labs, so you will never worry about the internet and stuff related to it. The classrooms, auditorium, playgrounds and everything are perfect.
Faculty: The faculty are well-knowledgeable a good for only AKTU level studies. If you are planning for GATE or IES exams, then you have to take help of private coaching classes or library which is again a reason for appreciation of college. Overall, the attitude of the faculty is good.

Overall, a fantastic college.
Placements: The college always tries to bring more and more companies for placements, but the cracking of the interview will be in the hands of the students. Companies like the TCS, Mahindra, Nucleus and Infosys came for the placement. Also, TCS is the biggest counsellor of all the years, and about 70% of the students get placed every year.
Infrastructure: The college has an awesome infrastructure. Also, its auditorium is far better than the PVR cinemas. The libraries also open until 11 pm. There are also canteens and parks which are good. There will be an ECO-friendly environment with excellent labs for all branches, especially for the automobile labs. Also, the CS labs are quite excellent. Overall, the ratings of the college are good.
Faculty: All the faculty members are awesome and highly educated. Some have taken their PG or PhD from the foreign universities. They always worry about our future. Also, excellent classes and courses are covered within time. A regular CT is conducted for giving excellence to the students, for their performance.

Basically this college is not value for money.
Placements: If I talk about CS and IT branch then I can say 95% placement is there. But if I talk about other branches then 5% placement is there. For the ME/EE/EC branches there is no placement in their core. The highest salary is 4lac. , top recruiting companies are tcs, wipro, infosys etc.
Infrastructure: In srms Wi-Fi is available with 2 gb data per day for student so that student can use internet with college Wi-Fi. Labs are regularly done with proper experiments. As concerned about food then food is not good also, tasteless. Medical facility is very good. There are various types of sport played in srms.
Faculty: Teacher were very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The way of teaching was very good and understandable. The environment of srms makes the student industry ready. It helps student to survive in different situations and also this course curriculum is relevant.
Other: Mechanical branch is a versatile branch through this branch you can go in different places of work. There is nothing to change in my course.
