My experience in Shyam Lal was good, but the placements, fests, and the crowd are not well.

Placements: The placements on the campus are good but not very well. When I was in the college, only 4-5 companies visited the campus for placements. Around 20-30 students got placed with salary Rs. 2,50,000 per annum. Some of my batchmates got selected on the campus placements, but 90% of the students didn't get placed from campus recruitment. There is a placement cell in the college, but the number of companies that visit the campus for placements is very less.

Choose this college only if you fail to get a seat in Delhi University.

Placements: The companies which visit the college for placements mostly offer profiles like cold calling and business analyst. The average salary package offered was 2.5 LPA to 3.5 LPA. The placement department allows every student to be a part of placements, which helps them for their better career. The college doesn't organise any internship fair.

Poor infrastructure but few good faculty members.

Placements: Our was the first batch when Shyam Lal College started its placement cell. Not much companies visited since it was just a beginning and also the college was an out of campus college. As far as I can remember Royal Bank of Scotland, ICICI and a company for content writers visited for campus selection. The placement cell is growing year by year and more and more companies are visiting the college. The maximum package offered during the placement was 2.17 CTC and that was for Royal Bank of Scotland...

Just have really good teachers.

Placements: Cocentrix was the company that offered the placement to English hnrs batch. M. nearly 100 of the student got selected. Salary package was 15 t0 20 per month. They offered the role of costumer handling. Placement cell is not good here as only some companies come with less stipend offer.

The college is an amalgamation of good and bad.

Placements: Placements from the college are not up to the mark. Only 15-20% of my seniors were placed with an average salary of 20,000 per month. The internship status is also same. Though a placement cell is working in the college but still most of the students depend on internships provided by outsiders.

Good place to study but not best place.

Placements: Poor faculty, they just hire for BPO's, packages are very poor, but environment is so good, Main concern of placement is marketing and advertising, maximum salary package is around 10lack p. a and minimum is just around 2.4 lacks p. a. There is a functional placement cell in the college but being off campus college not many renowned company visit here.

Good college but north campus is best.

Placements: I was placed in Royal Bank of Scotland. Many companies came for campus placements and asked different questions to select the right candidate. So I got selected in the insurance company which is ICICI Prudential and Royal Bank of Scotland. It has good placements and a good package for startups.

The college placements are good. The library of the college has very few books.

Placements: The placement scenario of the college is quite good, which is getting better every year. Almost 50-60% of the applied students got selected. Many reputed companies visit the college are American Express, RBS, Foodpanda and Mahindra Tourism. The average salary package offered is 15-20 LPA.

Good for competitions and other extracurricular activities, but not for studying.

Placements: Only 15-20 were placed, and the average salary offered was Rs. 17,000 per month. Few companies visited the college for placements. The companies will conduct a small test and interview in the selection procedure. The placement cell is not good, and it doesn't help in giving the placements with a good salary package. We hardly have a chance of placements.

A review on Shyamlal College.

Placements: The college doesn't provide placements. No company came to the campus, both for our seniors and our batch. This is because the image of our college is not good. Even the companies for customer executive jobs are not interested in coming here. If you are expecting recruitment from college, it is a complete failure. No placement opportunities are provided by this college. This college is good only for those who want a degree to prepare for other exams by themselves.

Decent if you want to get admission in Delhi University and DU degree.

Placements: The placements are well brought up by the placement cell in college. Though the companies which come offer the decent amount of packages but not sufficient. Only 5 out of 100 students as per grades get selected. The lowest salary offered is 1lakh 20thousand per annum, and the maximum depends on which company you will be getting placed, and if it is a good company, you can get a good package of around 5-8lakh. The percentage of students get selected and placed is a bit low compared to other colle...

A decent campus with hardworking teachers.

Placements: There is a functional placement cell in the college, but being an off-campus college, not many renowned companies visit here. And the companies that visit are only looking for those B.Com students. Other students have to register themselves with the CPC (central placement cell) of Delhi University if they want to appear for the placements. The college offers no Internships to the students.

An average college with a great potential to be a good one.

Placements: The placements are not that good in this college. This year (2017), there was only one company for campus recruitment. But the placement cell of the college is developing day by day and they are working hard so that students get good placements from the college. Last year, the students got an internship at IDBI Life Insurance. RBL was there in the college for the recruitment of the final year students.

Lack of industry exposure and average placements but good faculty.

Placements: For placement, the college provides two options to students, central placements, and college placements. But indeed, the placement is bad. For jobs and internships, companies like ICICI, RBS, Genpact visit the college campus and provide only customer service-based jobs with the highest package of 2.5 lakhs only. The internship stipend is not more than Rs 5000 per internship. No emphasis has been given on the placements of the college.

College is good as it supports sports activities a lot. But the campus of this college is average and is not worth the money. I would rate this college 2.5 out of 5.

College is quite good but don't expect any placements. Teachers are helpful.

Placements: The placement rate for B.Sc. Hons mathematics is too low. Most of the students who pursue this degree are thinking about getting a Ph.D. or becoming a data scientist, not focusing on placement. Also, don't expect companies like Tata or other top companies to recruit from this college.

Is Shyam Lal really worth it?

Placements: There are no good placements in this college for B.Com or B.Com Honours courses. To be honest, you just have to be happy that you got admission in Delhi University and will get a Delhi University pass-out certificate, which will definitely help you in the future.

My college was good and I am very much satisfied with my college life.

Placements: There is no placement for this particular course in our college. But I would recommend the authority should introduce some placement drives for the student and to motivate them so that they can fulfil their future endeavours and achieve what they want.
