Review of SIES (Nerul) College Of Arts, Science And Commerce.
Placements: The offered placements are very opportunistic for the students of financial markets. Companies like JP Morgan, KPMG, Deloitte, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited, Times of India and many more visit the campus for placements. Even Hindustan Times with P&G conducted an aptitude test recently for all the students from B.Com BAF, BBI and BFM.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good as there are spacious corridors, classrooms, canteen, amphitheatre, auditorium, tutorial rooms and lastly the quadrangle where the opening ceremony of every event takes place. Classrooms are the place where we all enjoy the lectures. An amphitheatre is a place where every event meeting is conducted, and the evaluation of projects is done. Tutorial rooms are where we do presentations and enjoy asking questions to the presenter. A quadrangle is a fun place where the opening ceremony of every event takes place and being in the centre, the entire college can be viewed.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college for BFM are very good and helpful. Right from the course coordinator to the principal, everybody gives their equal participation for the overall development of students seeking admission at the campus. The course curriculum for the students of financial markets is very repetitive, which makes it reductant. Though there are many practical subjects like corporate finance, personal financial planning, business statistics and mathematics, management accountancy, financial accountancy, debt and equity markets, and forex markets. The concepts in each subject are mostly reductant. There is no financial literacy as such among the students being in the finance field.
Other: The college organises an annual cultural inter-collegiate extravaganza called Siesons which is the biggest in Navi Mumbai. The preparation begins as soon as the new academic year commences. Since Siesons has a legacy of doing something unique each year, it reveals its uniqueness through theme and flagship event, The Concert. It is a festival which turns unknown to known, friends to family and this makes Siesons great every year as people with the same ideology, approach and passion for doing something different uniting to witness the biggest festival, Siesons.
