A college with good faculty and placement opportunities.

Placements: Placements in the college are not as good as earlier. The placement rate has decreased. This year, almost 135 students were hired by Infosys. Wipro hired 97 students, and some other IT companies hired 42 students till now. However, some more companies are yet to visit the college for placements. Until now, almost 60% of the students got placed. Companies like Mindtree and TCS are yet to visit the college for placements. For electronics students, some more companies yet to visit and hire students...

Satisfied with studies. No Internet in hostel rooms is a very big disappointment.

Placements: Placement stats are good. But most of the students get recruited by companies which do mass recruitment like Infosys, Wipro, Monsters, Cognizant etc. The college makes arrangements for the preparation of interviews and written tests. Companies with high-package jobs do not visit the campus for the recruitment.

It is a very good college and I recommend others to join this college.

Placements: In Silicon, placement is near about 80%. In the 3rd year, the college provides pre-placement training. Training on aptitude, reasoning and English is given.

Most disciplined college in east.

Placements: About 60% students got placed in various companies like Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, MindTree and few core companies. It's very low percentage as compared to the year 2016. Approximately 80% were placed. Gives free coaching for exams like GATE. And also helps in campus training process. The salary package varies in between Rs. 1.8 lakhs to 6.25 lakhs per annum. Mostly 3.25 lakhs in IT companies.

Absolutely satisfied by the faculty.

Placements: The placement is good and last year, 85% students got placed in companies like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS etc. Some students were also placed in core companies like Satyam Semiconductor, Softronics etc. Last year, 8 lakhs was the highest package offered, 4.5 lakhs is the average package and 3.0 lakhs is the lowest package.

The infrastructure of our college is 17 acres. It is comparatively smaller than other colleges. But one can get all types of facilities here. Our classrooms are equipped with projectors. We have a separate building for Computer science branch. We have total 5 branches EEE, ECE, CS, IT, AEI. Our college is famous for its academics. Most of our faculty members have completed their P.H.D. They clear all our doubts and are always ready to help. The students those who come here can really know what t...

College is very good in terms of placements. This college is best for computer science students. Coming to the infrastructure and facilities, it is below average but it has good quality of faculty members. It offers wide range of opportunities. Overall, it is a good college for engineering.

SIT doesn't live up to its promise. Campus recruitment drive needs to be revamped. Given the hefty course fee, any student will feel robbed if only IT companies are invited for placements. Students' opinion is never taken into account and there is absolutely no motivation for sports activities. The events organized too are due to the efforts of the students who bring sponsorship's through their contacts.

Silicon Institute of Technology happens to be in the upper echelon when it comes to B-tech colleges under BPUT University. The placement percentage is almost 80%. If you are looking for a skyscraper building, hundred yards of the playground, and thousand acres of landscape, I cannot recommencement this college to you. The entire college area is very small and it finishes as soon as you start walking. However, classrooms and canteen are just fine. Placement is the real attribute that this colleg...

It is a nice college if we talk about academics. But, technical knowledge imparted is not up to the mark. A student entering this college will get highly motivated about pursuing his/her higher studies. As this college has maintained its decorum. The faculty is very strict when it comes to academics. That is what I like about my college.

According to my experience, CS branch is really good as compared to the same standard of college through OJEE rank. The faculty is good except a few teachers. Most of them always feel happy when you ask them doubts in the class. They are friendly and motivating. Canteen made a huge business and the food is really bad. The management team was not good. I never felt that there was anything good from management team towards us. They only gave fake hopes and did a fake meeting with the students. Pla...

I'll specify about two things mainly, one is the canteen and other is placement cell. The efficiency of placement cell is very poor as they are unable to attract good companies apart from Infosys and Wipro. I have specified Infosys and Wipro as good companies in comparison to other companies that come to the college. Silicon does not put enough effort to increase the quality of food. I can say this because I have served as a canteen in charge in the final year.

It is one of the best mainstream private colleges in Orissa. Good faculty if you're willing to learn and prosper. There is lack of campus facilities. The college provides enough placement opportunities. Overall it is a decent institute to pursue technical education.

It is a nice experience as it has groomed me a lot. The faculty and the students are very smart and it helps to improvise. It is beyond engineering. I like the food and hostel life of the college. The students are serious about their career. That constitutes a healthy competition in the college.

Classes are interactive. Regular test are conducted. Faculty is very supportive. The study environment is good and regular lab classes are conducted as well. Updated electronics and electrical machines present in the college. Pre placement preparations are carried out from the third year. Infect gate classes are also held. The pre placement training is satisfactory.

Very strict and disciplined. And apart from that not so good placement packages despite of having the high fees structure. As per the university guidelines, the tuition fees should be low. But it’s quite opposite here. Some pros of the college are its good sports facilities like cricket, football, volley and basketball. Good faculty members are here and on an average the performance of students in semester is good.
