It is a good college to study because of its environment.
Placements: Around 90% of students get placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Flipkart, HCL, Amazon, Mahindra, Wipro, Infotech, etc. Around 40% of students get internships in our college.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college are good. Everything is available for students to get standard education. Wi-Fi is available everywhere on campus like hostels, classrooms, etc. The library is available for students. The quality of food served in the hostel is very good.
Faculty: Teachers and lab assistants in our college are helpful for students to solve their doubts. Teachers are well qualified and hold Ph.D. degrees in their field. Their teaching standard is very good. Semester exams are conducted strictly. Every student works hard and studies well for exams so they get a high percentage in the semester exams.
Other: I chose this course because I like technology related to computers. Government scholarships are provided in our college. Our batchmates are friendly and helpful to each other.

It is like other AKTU degree colleges and also a decent college for students.
Placements: Currently, I am a 2nd-year student. But in our college, I got the information from our seniors that some of our seniors are placed in TCS, Wipro and in past, our college gives placement in HCL and Adobe. At our alumni meet, our seniors were gathered and they are from the Indian army also.
Infrastructure: In our college, a well-furnished library, Wi-Fi-enabled campus, good classrooms, good labs are available. But due to covid, our labs have become temporary jails for the last 2 years. The hostel is average and all the rooms are okay. Foo quality in the mess is also average.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good, helpful, well qualified, and also all have good knowledge of the subject. The courses follow the AKTU pattern. Semester exams are not so difficult. If you study 3 hours a day, you can easily pass the semester exams in our college. If you want to study in a government college then prefer this college.
Other: I chose this college because this is a proper government college. The best thing about our course is everyone is very helpful in our college.

Best government college in Meerut.
Placements: With 50% marks in 12th, you are eligible for placement in this course. The highest package is 1 lakh per annum and the lowest is 30,000. Wipro & TCS and many Bangalore companies come for placement. SCRIET does not provide internships; you need to search for internships off-campus. B.Tech in CS IT is the best course offered.
Infrastructure: In the department, the library and lab provide average Wi-Fi speed. Hostel mess food is good for the price, providing the best food quality. They provide medical and Wi-Fi facilities. The hostel arranges an annual inter-hostel competition.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful; all teachers are Ph.D. qualified and have the best knowledge in specific subjects. Their teaching quality is average. No, they don't make the student industry-ready. The semester exams are very easy; you learn the basics and score good marks.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in the IT field. B.Tech provides many job opportunities, which is the best thing about the course. They provide scholarships, and you can cover approximately your fees with the scholarship. They organize seminars, etc.

Review of Sir Chotu Ram Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Our college provides nearly 30% of placements every year, but that is very little if compared overall. The highest package offered is nearly 5 LPA, the average package is 3 LPA, and the minimum package is 2.7 LPA. TCS and HCL companies visit the college for placements. 80% of students got internships in various companies in IT and CS departments. Web development, software developer, data scientist, etc., roles are offered.
Infrastructure: There are various facilities available in our college, like well-managed labs with all the equipment, classrooms with a capacity of 80 students each, and high-speed internet for 24*7 with the highest speed of 90Mbps. So, a high-quality surfing experience can be enjoyed. There is a separate library with a study room facility. The hostel provides various facilities like 24-hours electricity, water, well-cleaned washrooms, and an indoor stadium. Food quality is average.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and very helpful in college regarding studies. The teaching quality is perfect. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes the student industry-ready so that our future will be more secure in terms of a job. Semester exams depend on your preparation. If you study well, then it will be easy. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Our batch is the best. I chose this branch because I want to become a software developer. There are various events organised in our college. A few of them are SCRIET ka apna Talent, Convergence and a tech fest.

Good Hostel life, Below average placements, good for making memories, affordable government college.
Placements: The students become eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester. To be honest, not many companies visit our college. Some companies though come such as TCS, Wipro, Ninja, Tech Dost, etc. I don't know the exact offers made but some students get placed from the college. The highest package being 7 Lacs per annum on campus. The average package is 3 Lacs per annum. The students make it off-campus with one student getting a whopping 22 Lacs per annum placement. The placements here are very low and one should go for placement by himself. My plans after getting a degree are to do a Master's.
Infrastructure: The hostel room is a double-sharing room with 2 beds, 2 almirahs, 2 tables and chairs, 2 tubelights with one extra holder, and 2 hangers for each student. The mess food is not excellent but one can eat. Sometimes they cook the worst food in the world but sometimes the quality is good. In the morning you will get dishes like poha, daliya, macaroni, sandwiches, paratha, etc. In the afternoon and night, you will get roti, rice, rajma/kadhi/chole/dal, and a dry vegetable for sure. On Sunday in the afternoon, you will get either paneer or chole bhature but in the night you will get fried rice which are not so good. The university has its own gym where students can go irrespective of their course. It is open in the morning as well as in the evening. The college has its own canteen which is closed for some time but you can go to the university canteen. There are 2 libraries. The SCRIET library remains open till the college remains open. And the main library opens at 8 am and closes at 10 pm. The SCRIET library has various books which you can use in your GATE preparation as well as college exam preparation too. Other than this you can go to the main library of the CCS University to explore from around 53,000 books. The classrooms have the normal blackboard but the labs are equipped with computers and are open every day till the college remains open so I can go and use the computers if they want. Other than this the campus is fully surrounded by Wi-Fi, railway reservation facility is there and a medical dispensary is also there.
Faculty: The number of students in our class is 94 and we get different faculty for different subjects. Currently, we have 6 subjects so we have 6 different teachers. The faculty members are good but the one I liked the most is Arpit Chhabra Sir. He is a great teacher. There is no faculty that you will not like, it's up to you that you want to study or not. The faculty members are all well-educated but sometimes you just don't understand the topics in class so you have to study by yourself. The exams are moderate and one can pass the exams If you have good knowledge of the topic. Even if you write something related to the topic if you don't know the exact answers, you'll get marks. The curriculum is not up to date but it's okay. There are no flaws in the curriculum but some subjects feel like why are we studying them. The curriculum has various languages like Python, Java, C++, and it also teaches you DSA which will help you in the future to secure placement. The difficult level of the exams is moderate and there are 2 sessional and 1 semester exam every semester.
Other: I applied for various colleges like MJPRU, BU, and others but I chose this college as I was getting the IT branch. And the other thing is I wanted to move out of my hometown. The college is good in various aspects such as sports, faculty, and the hostels here are so good. I got rejected from bigger colleges like IET Lucknow, BIET Jhansi as the cutoff was higher. So I came here as I wanted a government college. The admission can be taken through JEE Main ranking or directly if you have contacts. Most preferred exam is JEE Main. The cutoff is not too high and the cutoff for my branch Information Technology last year was around 4 Lacs in the open category. The overall admission experience was smooth and the admission process was completed through physical reporting. There are no annual fests in our college. Only the orientation program is held every year when the new batch comes. Khel Utsav is held in the months of January every year. Garba eve is organized during Navratri. Inter-hostel competitions are done every year. Other than these, there are smaller events like webinars, seminars, etc. There are many sports you can play here. SCRIET has its own cricket ground, basketball court, badminton court, and table tennis facility too. The Khel Utsav held every year organizes such sports. And a sports complex is also there in the University with a 1600-meter track, a football ground, and nets as well. There are many clubs in our college such as the Cultural Committee, Student Conscious Club, SLC club, and Google-developed group on campus as well.

A minimum percentage in your PUC is required and apart from that, importantly, you need to clear JEE mains with good rank.
