I have a wonderful experience because of our teachers and campus.
Placements: Around 40% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Intel, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. In our course, top roles are offered in the research and development department. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Around 30% of the students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Our college has a gym, a unisex canteen, labs for all departments and huge libraries with air-conditioners and biometric machine. The hostel has 4 buildings, and every building is allocated for every year students. They have one football ground and a badminton court. The quality of the food served is very good. The campus has 24x7 ambulance facilities.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful, well qualified and much knowledge. Their teaching quality is good, and they all have assistant teachers. The course curriculum makes students conquer if they are capable of it. They make students ready for their respective industry so that they can do performance outstanding.
Other: I have chosen this course because ECE has above-average placements, and the best things about our course are digital machines and micro processing. The new syllabus has already been initiated. Our college organises events like Rabo Kart, PC assembly, quiz, etc., and also organises fest, which is our only best feeling. The campus is crowded. Our college has a Wi-Fi facility and walk-talky. The surrounding is fabulous with lights. DISC Scholarships have been -provided to students who deserve. Our college provides extracurricular activities like blood donation, health checkup camp, clean and green campaign, etc.

Review of Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology.
Placements: I scored 8.64 DGPA, the highest salary package offered around 5 LPA. TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Cognizant, and IT-related companies visit our campus for placements. Around 40% of the students got placed from our batch. There is much scope of jobs in the IT field, but much scope in the core field.
Infrastructure: There is a digital library. Apart from books, one can use the internet for more study material. There is a gym facility, and different games available for students now. I don't have any idea about the hostel as I wasn't part of the hostel. For medical emergencies, an ambulance is available 24x7 at the campus.
Faculty: Teachers in our branch are good and have good knowledge of department subjects. We have a very good bond with them even now also. They always encourage students to do something different, to enlight our lives. I can not deny the help we got from teachers.
Other: There are many fests like tech fest, Robot war for students to participate. I was part of almost everything, from football ground to drama on stage, and got good experience.

Take admission in SMIT and experience competitive life and learning through application.
Placements: Many companies visited our college for recruitment. Companies like TCS, IBM, Wipro, L&T and Mphasys, etc., also visited our campus. During our time, there were many recruitments. Indian Army also visited our college for recruitment. Students who passed out from this college also got placed easily.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was very good. Labs were excellent. Teachers and faculty members were very cooperative. Students work hard during project work. Faculty members provide us with many projects from which we can get extra knowledge so that we can utilise it in our higher studies.
Faculty: Faculty members were really awesome. The courses offered were very demanding. During our time, we were 120 students in the ECE department. Faculty members always helped us, and the labs were also very good. Our college offers courses like ECE, ME, etc.

Good infrastructure and faculty along with good placements.
Placements: Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology (SMIT) is a part of Techno India Group (TIG). The placement of this college for my batch (2015) not so bad. In this year, 15% students got placed in TCS. After TCS recruitment, our college arranged many campusing for us and many students were got placed in various companies. One of the most popular core company of electronics is Sankalp Semiconductor visited our campus for recruitment. Out of all colleges, in TIG only one candidate has selected, and the only student was from our college SMIT.
Infrastructure: Our college established in 2003 at Guptipara, Hoogly. Our college has mainly two building on campus, known as main building and theory building. Instead of this, two building on our college, the campus has boys and girls hostel, workshop, generator room, parking, common room, canteen, library, reading room, Wi-Fi, badminton court, Playground, etc.
Faculty: The faculty of our college have only a few well-experience and good knowledge. Almost all of them are helpful to us. In theory class, they show their knowledge, and in the lab, they show their experience along with the knowledge. The teaching method of our all faculty is not same. Some teacher teach us superbly.

I am dissatisfied with my college in all parameters.
Placements: The placement for the batch was not good. Only 30 out of 80 students got placements in our stream. Core companies did not come for placements. There were very few placements. The minimum salary was Rs. 1.7 lpa and the maximum salary was Rs. 3.5 lpa. The companies that came for placements were TCS, General Library, Department Johnson Controls, Radharani Electricals, Rs Software, Spider Infotech, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was not very good. There was no AC in the classrooms, the labs were not well equipped. Wi-Fi speed was very less. The classrooms were not painted, the benches were broken. The food in the canteen was pathetic.
The hostel rooms were not hygienic, the beds were broken, there was no almirah and the bathrooms were dirty.
Faculty: The curriculum was average, not that great. Some of the faculty members were helpful, not all. They had very little knowledge and were partial to some students. The teachers were not technically sound. Most of the time, there were no classes. The course not that practical, everything was theoretical.
