The infrastructure and facilities are good. The academic fee is immensely high.

Placements: The placements were okay. Not as many companies visited as we had expected to. 40-45% of the students were placed. The average salary offered was around 3 lakhs per annum. Mostly, the students were offered the positions of a GET. The highest salary offered was 4 LPA while the lowest was around 2 LPA.

A short journey of the college.

Placements: The placements in chemical engineering department were at the peak this year. The highest package being 8 LPA given by Honeywell, which is a highly reputed company to start a career with. 90% of the students who were eligible to sit in the interviews were placed. The training and placement cell of the college works really hard to maintain this percentage.

PDPU faculty and placement review.

Placements: Placements, well, they are a headache in every stream, including MBA. But there's not one college which is not IIT, NIT, DCE, IIM, IIFT or FMS, etc. where you get those big bucks. When you compare PDPU with the colleges it's competing with and being so young, it has far more pros than cons. The oil and gas market is down so the companies have not been visiting but then that's the case with UPES and other colleges too.

Great infrastructure and resources but lacks the key elements of education.

Placements: The placements in PDPU petroleum branch have been extraordinary this year. 20 students got placed in ONGC at 14 lpa. 4 students placed in Oil India at 14 lpa. 2 students placed in Reliance with a package 5.5 lpa. 4 placed in Tech Mahindra at 2.8 lpa. 11 placed in Infosys at 3.28 lpa. 1 student in Essem Hitech at 6 lpa.

Good college because of the resources and extra-curricular activities.

Placements: Placement of our senior batch was good when compared to our batch. Up till now, 30% students have been placed in core and non-core companies. The highest salary offered is 4.5 LPA, the average salary is 3 LPA and the lowest salary is 1.5 LPA. Companies like L&T, Torrent Power, IMS People, Opal, Sabarmati Gas etc. recruited the students. In core companies, technical roles were offered in generation, maintenance and distribution in power plants. In non-core companies, roles were offered related to...

Placements: The petroleum engineering bifurcated in upstream and downstream petroleum engineering. Th upstream placement is 60% (AVG. 5 lakhs per annum), and downstream 80% (AVG 4 lakhs per annum) for the last year. It varies from year to year, this year, ONGC took around 20 students(18 upstream and 20 downstream).

Mind-blowing infrastructure & sports facilities.

Placements: They placement is decent for you if you are in top 10 of the batch. ONGC was one of the recruiters this year. Majorly Gujaratis with good pointers were recruited. Infosys, TCS, Azure Power, UR Energy, L&T are amongst the other recruiters. Internships are better found by self, not much role is played by the college for the same.

Good infrastructure, good course curriculum and placements. The fees is a bit higher but worth it.

Placements: The placements were very good for the seniors. It was about 81% placement. But now, due to demonetization, the placement is a bit less than the previous year. But overall it is much better. Many petroleum companies do visit the campus and the college also calls many companies for the placement. There are other branches in PDPU whose placements are also good.

A rennaissance towards learning - PDPU.

Placements: Placements in PDPU varies from branch to branch. Petroleum Placements: 1.) Well known public sector and private sector industries like ONGC, OIL, OPAL, Adani, and few non-technical companies like Infosys, Meditab and few more showed interest in recruiting students from both streams of School of Petroleum namely, upstream and downstream. 2.) The highest package was offered by ONGC, i.e., 14.45 lakhs PA. 3.) More than 65% of the students have been placed this year, and placements are still going...

Not worth the money. Management system of college is the worst part.

Placements: They tried a lot for 100% placement but students were not interested in the non-core profiles. The placement cell of PDPU provides you with many opportunities core and non-core. It also helps you in developing your personality too. Many companies visited such as GSPC, GNFC, ONGC, Shell, Wipro and Infosys.

Reconsider before you join.

Placements: The placements were not good enough as compared to many other reputed colleges but unlike many colleges, we have dedicated placement teams working round the clock to bring many companies to our college for placements. They were quite successful in doing so as they have already brought many companies this year. As of the placements of our senior batch, most of them were placed who had CPIs above 6.5 and many of the others opted for higher studies or decided to do their own thing. About 50% stude...

Dissatisfied because of faculty and placements.

Placements: The placements are average, the packages offered are around 3-4 lakhs. Not everyone in the batch gets placed, only 10-20% students get a job in the core companies. Very few core companies visit the campus whose plant is nearby our college. Training and placement cell is working hard but a very good result is yet awaited.

Unmatched infrastructure but average placements.

Placements: If you are the class topper, you have a bright chance of getting placed in a core company. You will have to struggle if you an average student. Core companies do come but you should have enough aptitude to clear their screening tests. L&T, Infosys, Deepak Nitrite are few amongst the recruiters. ONGC had also come this year.

Placements: Placements for our senior batch were pretty decent. Most of our seniors got placed, many of them being in the core companies. Packages were also pretty decent and our branch had maximum placements at the time of our seniors. This year, may be due to demonetization, we are not having a good placement scenario. Companies with very low packages are visiting us. And the number of companies is also very less. Hardly 15% of the class is placed till now.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of placement, good infrastructure, average faculty.

Placements: The placements here were very bad as only 14 out of 45 got placement in the core companies. They even do not give training to the students regarding the placements, with no GD and PI training sessions provided. The highest package offered was 6 lakhs and the average was between 3.5 to 4 lakhs. During 2016, only mechanical and electrical students got 80% placements, while civil, chemical and industrial and petroleum streams had very bad placements.

Placements: The placements were better this year. Every year, almost 60 % students get placed from here. This year till date, 20 students got placed in ONGC with more companies yet to come here. The package they received was 15 lakhs PA. Companies like ONGC, GSPC, OIL, Essar Oils, Shell etc used to visit and recruit the students. About 60 % students got the internship from the college but those were stipend-free.

PDPU is a private university with UGC certification. It has been divided into three schools namely School of Petroleum Technology, School of Technology, and School of Liberal Studies. The first two schools are associated with the technical stuff and SLS is mainly associated with B.B.A. The infrastructure of the university is simply great but if you consider the amount of money that the university takes from the students, the placements are not satisfying.
