Focuses on extracurricular activities too.
Placements: Overall placements from our college are really superb. The average package that BE/B Tech students got placed in was 5.25 lacs per annum. And the average package that ME/M Tech students got placed in was 5.7 lacs per annum. And the average package that MBA/MCA placements got placed in was 4.5 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: It was a wi-fi-free environment, and language centers were built to teach different languages. The National Service Scheme was conducted by the college, so the students are interested in participating in camping activities regularly. And there are sports, medical, and gym facilities.
Faculty: Some faculty members were irritating and demotivating, but some of them were really helpful and motivating. They always encourage students to participate in research, workshops, and practical work. They were very helpful during theory and practical examinations.

It is the best college in the region.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students who opted for placements got placed. Roles related to structural and designing fields were offered from various companies. Apart from these, training was also given for students interested in opting for government jobs.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities were quite decent. Still, you cannot expect a homely ambience and comfort in the hostel. They tend to provide you with the same.
Faculty: Teachers were quite experienced and knowledgeable in their respective fields. However, the college follows Anna University syllabus, which is a bit outdated. Still, the department takes necessary steps to keep students updated with the latest trends through various events.

Satisfied with the course and the associated facilities. Can bring better companies for placement.
Placements: In my batch around 70% people got placed and the remaining opted out for higher studies. The highest number of employment offers was given by Milkela Engineering pvt. Ltd. followed by VEE technology. The rest were placed in some small civil engineering companies.
Infrastructure: Talking about the facilities everything is awesome. We have all the labs well-equipped with instruments in working condition. Classrooms are provided with projectors and LCS recording system. The hostel canteen food and rooms are too good when compared to the outside PG's. But the fees is quite high for hostel.
Faculty: In my department around 30% to 40% faculty members are Ph.D. holders and some are currently pursuing Ph.D. So, there is no doubt in knowledge of the teachers. The teachers who taught me were kind enough and cleared my doubts whenever and wherever possible. But the syllabus is the same as in every engineering college. Not related to the industry. It is not updated to the current industry requirement.
Other: To become a civil engineer is a passion for my life. The best thing about civil engineering is that everything is live. You can see each and everything you study before your eyes and easy to understand. In our college civil department is the one that conducts so many events and allow the students to go out and participate in sports, symposiums and other competitions without hesitation.

A review on Sona College of Technology.
Placements: In civil, 40% of the students got placed. The average salary offered was 15-20thousand. Placement was reduced year by year. Comparing to other departments, civil has least count of placements. Some students are interested in higher studies, and some started a business.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure was really good. But, there is no Wi-Fi for students. Every classroom has a projector. Food quality was average, and there is no non-veg available. The college has a green building. Lab facility is good. Hostel rooms are good. Different types of sports are available on the campus. The classrooms have a video coverage which can be stored online, and we can see it anytime.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful in studies. They are qualified, knowledgeable and also experienced. Their teaching quality was good. The reaching methods they used were mostly presentation format by the projectors. Each year, we'll go for an industrial visit.

The Sona College of Technology is a heaven on earth.
Placements: The placements were not too good at Sona College of Technology. They filter students in various ways to reduce the placement count. They also don't take necessary steps to ensure placement, so the job opportunities for all the students are not assured. Only the placement related training is provided here.
Infrastructure: The Sona College of Technology has really good infrastructure (don't compare with other colleges, if you compare, then this college will not be good). This college has the required infrastructure and good food provision. Also, there is a better entertainment factor and a good building.
Faculty: The faculty, mostly, don't have field experience as they only have the educational knowledge, but not the field experience. But, for education, it's really a good thing which makes students to score good marks from the practical point of view. The method of teaching is not too good.
