- Read moreCandidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology as optionals or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled during 2000-2002 and subsequent batches, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh, provided that candidates who have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optionals along with the bridge course examination in Mathematics conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh shall also be eligible for the Bio-Technology course. Candidate must have scored minimum mentioned marks and 40% marks for candidates belongs to reserved category.

Which I think is totally unfair because we only had main students from CSE and ECE in our college but none of them will be selected.

Review of Sphoorthy Engineering College.
Placements: Only 10% of the students have been placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS and Tech Mahindra. No internship is provided by the college. It is up to the student if they want to do an internship, they need to get the HOD's permission.
Infrastructure: It was up to average, we can't expect more from the management. The canteen was better compared to everything else. Sports meets were conducted once a year, and they invite all the engineering colleges to participate in the events at the college.
Faculty: Some faculty members were excellent in teaching, some were average, and some were below average. Most faculty members teach according to the curriculum. Exams are conducted by JNTUH. The pass percentage is around 50% in every class, depending on the course.

Just keep this college as a last option.
Placements: 90% of students are placed with an average package of 4-6 LPA. Majorly consists of startup companies in Bangalore & Chennai. The highest package till now has been 12 LPA. No big companies visited till now except after the COVID batch. The college has now become autonomous.
Infrastructure: Sports equipment is not proper and the gym equipment is too. The canteen does not have even the basic items. Computer labs do not have proper monitors, and some do not function properly at the required time. The college recently got the status of autonomous so it may get developed.
Faculty: The lecturers' teaching methods are not up to par, even though the lecturers are Ph.D. holders; their English-speaking skills are poor. Third, the exams for JNTHU are always tough, so it's hard to get good marks and a good CGPA. For semester preparation, self-study is the only option.

Totally dissapointed with this college.
Placements: The management of placements is highly unsatisfactory as they lack knowledge about companies. Moreover, in my third year, they have begun to subject us to unnecessary hardships. It is advisable to consider joining bigger colleges for a promising and successful future. At this college, smaller companies visit to recruit students with lower salary packages.
Infrastructure: The chosen course is commendable and well-structured; however, the selection of the course greatly influences its quality. Moreover, it is important to note that the hostel facilities are exclusively available for girls, with an annual fee of 80,000 for the girls' hostel, which includes subpar food options.
Faculty: The worst faculty, students are far better than faculty, and management faculty or lectures will not teach deeply. Some faculty was good and well in our college, but few faculty members are the worst in behavior, and the way of teaching and understanding the concept is bad.

Join sphoorthy engineering college for better future.
Placements: In our college about 70-80% students will be placed during college placements. The highest package of college during our college placements is about 11 lakhs and average package is upto 4.2 lakhs. The recruiting companies for my course are Accenture, Epam, hardware technology etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are very good. The Library in our college contains all the academic text books besides. They also contains some novels and we can also confiscate them to our home. The quality of food is good and there are many games In our college such as cricket, football, throwball and badminton.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are very skilled and knowledgeable. The teaching faculty are kind to the students and they even help students till they understand the topics. The students curriculum is relevant and helps the students to build real world applications. The difficulty of the exams are average to hard and the pass percentage is 20-30% which is about 35 marks for 100.
Other: I chose this course because I was mostly interested in real world applications and technology. As I choose the special course of CSE which is artificial intelligence and machine learning which we deal with technology. I think our college should improve the facility of computers in the labs. The college management conduct fest includes freshers , farewell , traditional day , orientation day.

The placements are not great.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in the CSE course is 70-75%. The highest package received in the CSE course is 12 lakhs, and the lowest package received is 2 lakhs. When it comes to the average, it is 6 lakhs. The top recruiting companies are Tech Mahindra, and Good.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is quite good, and we also have well-maintained labs. However, some equipment is not working. All the classrooms are well-maintained. When it comes to facilities in the hostel, they are not up to the mark, and the provided food is average.
Faculty: Apart from all things, the faculty is quite good with good knowledge. Some faculty members are qualified, whereas some are just average. As it is JNTUH affiliated, the difficulty of exams depends on the JNTUH question paper. The pass percentage is 65%. Overall, the curriculum is average.
Other: According to me, overall this is average. If anybody wants to enjoy their college life like fests, bunks, and all, then this college is the worst decision because there are no open gates, and the fests are just average.
