Strong Placements and Facilities, but Curriculum Needs More Practical Focus.
Placements: Placement Rate: 85% of students placed. Salary Packages: The highest 20 LPA, the lowest 3 LPA, average 10 LPA. Top Recruiters: Cognizant, Envestnet, Experian, Quest Global, IBM, EY, H&R Block, Equifax, G10X, TCS, Infosys, Wipro. Internships: 50% of students secured internships at Allianz Teach Championship, Flipkart, Adobe. Top Roles: Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, AI Researcher, Software Developer, QA.
Infrastructure: Course Facilities: High-speed Wi-Fi, AI & ML, Deep Learning labs with GPUs, smart classrooms, library with e-resources, and innovation hubs. Hostel: Clean rooms. Food: Hygienic mess and canteen with veg/non-veg options. Medical: On-campus clinic. Sports: Football, basketball, cricket.
Faculty: Teaching Quality: Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive, balancing theory with practical learning. Curriculum Relevance: The curriculum is theory-heavy but could focus more on skill development and hands-on industry practices to make students better prepared. Exam Difficulty & Pass Percentage: Exams are moderately tough, requiring conceptual clarity, with a pass percentage of around 85%.
Other: I chose this course for its focus on AI and ML, offering excellent career opportunities in emerging technologies. The best aspects are the advanced labs, knowledgeable faculty, and strong placement support. However, the curriculum could improve by adding more practical skill-building and industry exposure. Campus life is vibrant with exciting events, a collaborative crowd, good connectivity, and a lively environment.

A good college with a good campus and has good value for money.
Placements: There are around 50% of students who got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is around 5 LPA - 6 LPA. I don't know the exact information about that. Tata Elxi is one of the top recruiting companies in our college. I have heard about internships and they are normal. Many students get internships in our batch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our course is not bad. Our college is quite good at sports even if we lack a playground. But we are not happy about the lack of a playground. I don't know about hostels because I am a day scholar. I think it is average.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely good, qualified, and pretty good human beings. They are supportive if we are ready to put efforts into our studies. They are ready to clear our doubts if we ask. Our ECE department has top faculty members except 1 or 2. There are faculty members who are hill to be with.
Other: Campus life is actually a sad thing. There is a lot to study, so the campus life I got is not what I expected. The college campus is not very large but students get some hangout places there.

    SCTCE College Life In Nutshell.
Placements: Placements are rather comparatively less in the recent trend as companies are recruiting only highly skilled students, not those with basic academic knowledge who are rejected. Mostly, companies coming to the campus are on a downfall. The trend of the placements is in a downgrade.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good in terms of labs and availability. College hostel facility is not available. Sports facilities in our college are very limited, and no proper ground facility is available even though sports activities as well as students are active in those fields at the university and college level.
Faculty: Faculty members are trained and good in both academic and interactive areas, with good faculty members in CSE depth. The course curriculum of the 2019 scheme is not relevant to the current industry era. The semester length of the university is short, and hence the exams are hectic. Thus, we as students feel the stress of the exams.
Other: The college campus life is really good in terms of programs and student-to-student interactions. The smaller size helped in interacting with other department students and in creating a great network and college life.

College vibe is very good. Fests and programs conducted are really fun.
Placements: The placement is very good. Around 30 to 40 companies visit every year and CGPU is very helpful in conducting events and seminars for coding and technical interviews. Some of the companies that visited are TCS, IBM, EY, Bosch, Federal Bank, Oracle, etc. Overall, placements in the college are good.
Infrastructure: The college is somewhat small. It has a very big library that contains all the necessary books. College has one of the best labs, mostly focused on research. Many funded projects are under the college. Classrooms are good.
Faculty: Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering is under KTU. Exams are moderate. Teachers are very helpful and supportive. One can ask any academic-related doubts to the teachers and they will clarify them. Teaching quality is good.

Joining SCTCE is one of the greatest decisions.
Placements: Placements are satisfactory. Normal mass recruiter companies generally hire. Product-based companies will also be visiting. Career guidance and placement unit in the college will help train for placements and assist in getting more companies involved in the placements process.
Infrastructure: We have good computer science labs are good and high-performance computers are available. But, the campus area is too small. There is no playground, only basketball and badminton courts are available. There are no campus hostels, but there are many private hostels nearby that are college-approved.
Faculty: All faculty members are good and complete the topics before the exams. Exams are conducted according to the KTU schedule which is pretty hectic, leaving no time for anything other than studies. But, the examination patterns are simple.

I love the ambience and infrastructure but about teaching and exams im disappoint.
Placements: Im a CSE student, and I think from my course 20 or 30% of students has got into companies using placements. A lot of companies do visit my college for placements. Top companies were also included in it. The highest will be 75% and the lowest would be 10%.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in our college for students. The computer lab facilities like chair and table are good but some keyboards and mouse doesn't work properly. Classrooms are good and clean. But the drinking facilities are not clean. They provide sports and games too but the space to play sports like cricket and football is too small. We don't have a proper ground.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified but the way they teach are not satisfying. Everything for exam we have to study on our own not to trust on teachers. The semester exams are so difficult because the study leave is not arranged properly. Series exams are conducted even if the teacher didnt teach anything which really disappoint.
Other: I choose this course because I love studying computer Science. Best part of this course is we can work with high salary if we are skilled. The thing I would like to improve in my course is to remove unnecessary subjects included in my course. The events occured in my college is really good and I enjoy it. My college do provide extracurricular activities and has its own clubs.
