    On Curriculum

Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for B.E. / B.Tech at Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Course Curriculum

    * The course curriculum follows the 2008 regulation of Anna University (Source: Review 1)
    * Faculty members are knowledgeable and experienced, making students industry-ready (Review 7, Review 14)
    * The course curriculum covers various topics, including computer programming languages such as C+, Java, Python, etc. (Review 12)
    * Students learn computer programming from scratch, which helps them prepare for placement in IT companies (Review 12)

Note: Since multiple reviews mentioned positive feedback about the faculty members' qualifications and teaching style, it's evident that the course curriculum is well-designed and effective in preparing students for the industry.

However, one reviewer pointed out that the course curriculum may not fully equip students for the industry due to lack of certain equipment (Review 20). Another reviewer noted that the pass percentage was relatively low (10%) in their semester exams (Review 16).

Overall, the course curriculum seems to focus on providing students with strong foundations in computer programming and related concepts, although there might be room for improvement in terms of practical experience and exposure to real-world applications.

The most important thing is not the highest or lowest package, but the knowledge gained and the career opportunities created. Good campus and communication is good with staff.
Placements: The placements were conducted on the basis of the grade scored in the exam and draw back. The job roles are like site engineer, draughtsman, surveyor, etc. 5 % percent of the students got placed. Interview those who are all clear students; there are no backlogs in exams. Those who have backlogs can't attend the interview.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The environment is clean and the place is full of security, with no violations or ragging placed. But the parking area is far away for the block and its nearly 1 km from parking to civil blocks and the various labours takes place in particular course.
Faculty: Faculty provide more support and attention to your need. They will support the knowledge you gain in the department and a proper guide is maintained and followed. The faculty supports symposiums and sports and all kinds of activities, including intercollegiate competitions.

The staffs are good and faculty is good, but certain changes can make it the best.
Placements: I'm a first-year student studying at Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology. I heard really good remarks about the placement from the senior batch. As of now, the remarks on placements are good, and I'm really happy to know about the placements and the package.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and faculty members are good. Food is average in the canteen, but it's not bad, and sports hours are given, which is really good. We are often taken to the Physics and Chemistry labs, and we have visited computer labs but not often. The classrooms are good.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful; they guide us really well. The knowledge they share with us is really helpful. Since I'm a first-year student, I haven't attended the semester exams, and I'm not sure about the pass percentage. The course curriculum is relevant.
Other: If events and fests are conducted, it would be nice. Some extracurricular activities can also be conducted.
