SRM Valliammai Engineering College Admission 2024: Application Process, Eligibility, Courses & Fee

Yes, being an autonomous college, SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Chennai holds right for direct admissions which is also known as admissions through management quota. However, the fees also range high in admission through this category as the institutions reserve some percentage of seats for the candidates beforehand. At SRM, Chennai the admission fee through management quota is INR 1.4L to INR 1.45L while through normal counselling it ranges between INR 50k- INR 55K for B.Tech/ BE courses. Similarly, for ME/ M.Tech/ MBA courses, the fee through direct admissions is INR 75K while through the govt. quota it is INR 50K.

Admissions to SRM Valliammai Engineering College are done through TNEA Counselling for BE and B.Tech courses and TANCET counselling for MBA, M.Tech and ME courses. Candidates are required to register themselves on the official website of the college. Following this, candidates will be required to fill an online application form. Different courses have different eligibility criteria at SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Chennai. For B.Tech and BE, candidates are required to have the basic eligibility required is to have at least 45% marks or above in class 12th from a recognised board/ university. But entrance tests are only applicable for post graduate adissions and undergraduate admissions are held on the basis of counselling. For admissions to BE and B.Tech. courses, there are no entrance exams and admissions are done of the basis of class 12^th marks. However, they still have to gain merit through the TNEA counselling. For PG candidates, the govt. holds a common entrance test which is the TANCET for admissions to M.Tech, MA and MBA courses. Merit is published based on this and the previous qualifying examination marks.

SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Chennai takes admission as per the norms set by Anna University, Chennai. The college considers TNEA for undergraduate and TANCET for post graduate admissions. TNET counselling began on September 10th of this year and ended on August 22nd, 2023. Similarly, TANCET (also called CEETA PG now) registrations began in February this year and the examination was held in the month of March. The counselling process went on from June 1st to 25th, 2023. Admissions for the current year have closed but you can look out for admissions during the same time next year.
