Placements: My batch was 2018-2022. There were 200 students in my batch and other 1200 students were in Civil, mechanical and E&c department. My course was CSE and there were 2 sections (A&B). We finished our course and recruiting companies came to our college but didn't offer much. The highest package was 1.2 Lacs per annum, which was below average itself. I personally chose not join any company and decided to do my M.Teach. Companies were TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Hcl, Reliance etc. 60 % of students including ...
Placements: Around 60 students got placed through the entrance JKCET, and few seats were reserved for fee quota. The average salary package offered was around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Intel, Google, Amazon, Jio, etc.
Placements: The placement percentage is very less or negligible in our college. Hardly any company visited the college during our time and in fact, the college did not have any placement cell. They recently made a placement cell that hardly recruited any students. SSM College is below par as far as placements are concerned.
Placements: Some companies come to the college for placements. I don't know about the packages yet. Students must have 79% to get internships in good companies. Roles like software engineer, data scientist, etc., are offered in this course.
Placements: The civil engineering department has a total of almost 200 students per batch. Many of the students have done their internships from various departments in Kashmir like RNB, JKPDD, and ERA. However, these internships have all been unpaid. Students have got a lot to learn from these internships. There are very few placements for our department but a lot more for other departments. The most recent offer had been from Pentagon Space as they conducted the CSR drive, and only three students from the ...
Placements: It is an amazing institution in Srinagar, and I was a student of a respected institution. There are amazing placements here. All national companies conduct placements here. Every year 100 students get placements in different companies. The top recruiting company is Tata Steel for our course.
Placements: As a student of SSM College of Engineering and Technology, I must say that I have never seen any company approaching the college since I have joined. But according to the official prospectus of college, different companies, including Tata, Reliance, Mahindra, etc., visit the college to hire students. During the course, students are required to do at least 3 internships. These internships are to be done in different private companies and also the government sector. About 99% of students got inter...
Placements: No on-campus placements are offered. They have recently invited some local companies for placement drives, but little to none get placed in a handsome job. Students are not industry ready themselves, there is no focus on research or placement in the college.
Placements: 1) 1% of students were placed in my course. 5) 2 Lacs was the highest package offered, the lowest was offered 50000 for internship based jobs and 1lakh was average salary. 3) Jamkash Automobile, JD Motors were top recruiters. 4) Estimation engineering, Production engineering roles were offered. 2)18k was the highest salary, 8k was the lowest salary and average was 10k offered to our course. 6) 100% internship in Mechanical engineering department at Jammu & Kashmir State cable car cooperatio...
Placements: About 70% of students from our course were placed. The highest salary was offered to high merit students, and it was Rs. 25,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month, while the average salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. Top recruiting companies for our course are Nissan, mechanical related companies of cement factories, Ford, Hyundai, etc. About 80% of the students got internships in different companies.
Placements: About 2% of the students in the college got placed. There were 750 students, and very fewer students got placement in core field. For CSE students, placements were good, but for the rest branches, placements were not provided. The college should focus on it because the first placements are very difficult for a student. If college provides such benefits to students, then it becomes easy for them to get a core job. Otherwise, in today's world, getting a core job is a difficult thing. The highest s...
Placements: About 20% of the total engineering students got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 12,000 per month. Ericson, LG, Samsung, Nokia, and many others offered placements here. Roles of a field engineer, junior engineer, executive engineer, etc., are offered. About 40% of the students got internships in Hero Electric, P2P Power Solutions and many more.
Placements: Most of the students of our batch qualified competitive exams and are doing jobs now. About 65% of the students were placed with a salary of almost Rs. 40,000-75,000 per month. Many companies visited our college and offered jobs to students. Around 75% of the students got internships from college. There is a placement cell in our college.
Placements: Campus placement drives are not organised here. Very few to no companies visit this college to hire freshers/graduates. However, some of our alumni were settled very well in reputed companies like Microsoft and Yahoo. Some students were placed in India and some others were settled abroad. But I'm sure this because more of their hard work rather than what the college has provided to them. Some programmes like Udaan are organised to hire freshers at times.
Placements: I know that the placement rate was good last year because one of my cousins was pursuing a degree from this college. Although the placements were not good, at least 60% of the students were placed. The average salary package offered was Rs. 23,000 per month and the lowest salary package offered was Rs.14,000 per month. Companies like Hero Honda whose CEO is Ansari and some other companies related to the mechanical department visited our campus. Students were offered Many roles like general manag...
Placements: The college has a placement wing, but it doesn't work anymore. Placements are very poor. Companies seldom visit the campus for recruitment. There are no private enterprises in Kashmir that can recruit the students. So, it directly affects the placements in our college.
Placements: There are some issues with the placements. During my tenure of 5 years here, I have seen only one company visiting the campus for placements. No one got placed from here. Even the placement drive conducted by that company is just to show students of the institution that there are placement opportunities.
Placements: No company has visited our campus for placements drive. All the students who pass out from this college have to do everything by themselves. A few students selected for government services and a few students joined in private firms. A few others opted for higher education.
