The placement cell is not very student-friendly, but people work hard to bring in lots of companies to the college for placements.

The correct route to your future.
Placements: With an average package of 8.5 lacs, the lowest being 9 lacs, and the highest being 17.5 lacs, students at this college were placed on campus more frequently. 87% of students were able to get internships on campus with companies like Flipkart, Microsoft, and Wipro.
Infrastructure: The college includes a large library with nearly all the books we need, canteens that serve delicious refreshments at a reasonable cost, and smart boards that allow students to learn topics visually. Snacks produced and grown on campus are offered at less money. With the best facilities, students may obtain all they need at this college.
Faculty: The majority of the faculty members have Ph.D.s in various specialties, demonstrating their extensive training. They put a lot of effort into making sure everyone grasps the ideas and offer a lot of help with the placing procedure. The college offers internships and industry trips to help students get ready for the workforce. Exams are simple if you pay attention in class, which is enough to get decent grades.

Best engineering college in Chennai.
Placements: The placements here are really good. Many companies come to campus, and students often get offers as early as their third year. The highest package offered for the year 2024 was 27 LPA, which was offered by Juspay. Companies that recruit students from this college include TCS, Infosys, CTS, Accenture, Wipro, Teach Mahindra, and many more.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi in all the labs, and each floor has a lab, so the Wi-Fi can reach the classrooms. However, mobile phones are not allowed. There is no canteen inside the college, but there is a stall that sells fries and noodles, and a bakery that sells baked goods at very low prices.
Faculty: Some of the faculty are new and are up-to-date on the latest technology, while others are older but have a wealth of knowledge and experience. All of the faculty are helpful and willing to guide students in their studies and projects. Students who are self-motivated will do well here. The staff provides students with ample time to work on their projects in the labs, which makes for a better learning experience.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2026

Review of St. Joseph's College of Engineering.
Placements: In mechanical engineering, the students placed in core are drastically low; they can also get placed in non-core software jobs in service-based companies. In our course, 4.21 LPA is the highest salary offered. Companies like Renault Nissan recruit us. 80 percent of students get internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not bad. Our department doesn't have a separate block now because of the low admission. But the laboratories are good. We have more labs than other departments. The library is overall okay. The quality of food in the hostel is good. The medical facility is bad.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified enough to teach us. Some are really good. The teaching quality is okay, good. The course is mostly in theory, and I think it will make us industry-ready. The semester exams are easy. The pass percentage is good; most of us get passed.

B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning - Batch of 2027

Best college for the people who follow rules and study well.
Placements: The packages were much less than I expected. They seem to have fallen down on the job. Many companies like AWS, TCS, Google, IBM, Infosys, and many startup companies come for placements, but they take only a few students.
Infrastructure: The college hostel is clean and neat, and the food is good compared to other colleges. The college has the best lab facilities. However, the mobile data signal is weak in the hostel and on campus.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are good. They are very helpful and provide career guidance to the students. They also encourage students to participate in events such as hackathons, presentations, dataothons, and startup ideas. The course in artificial intelligence and machine learning is a difficult one. Students who are good at math and have problem-solving skills will do well in this course.
Other: I really like this college. It has a lot to offer. There are fests on campus, and they provide a lot of scholarships. They also conduct a lot of activities, which I enjoy. The crowd is above average, which is a plus.

B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2028

In our college, food, teaching, and infrastructure are too good.
Placements: Placements in our college are good for computer-related courses. In chemical engineering, most students end up in IT rather than core jobs. Only five out of 60 students got core placements, but if you study well, you can secure a core position. Don't worry, you can at least get into IT. You can choose this college for a better future.
Infrastructure: I'm currently in the 1st year. The hostel is good, and the overall infrastructure is very nice. However, many people say our college is one of the strictest in Chennai. They are strict about dress code, lab activities, and speaking in English. The food here is like heaven.
Faculty: They conduct about three model exams before the first semester and give internal marks based on these exams, along with small activities like PPT presentations and lab work. The teachers are experienced and skilled. The pass percentage of the college is high, but the college is a bit strict.
Other: In our college, the food is very nice, and it's considered the number one college in Chennai for having good hostel food. They also provide meals for day scholars.

Foodie College! Strict tooo.
Placements: This college is overall okay, but it will take at least one year to get the hang of it. 80 percent of students are placed in this college's last placement. We get an internship if you search alone, but they will give it on duty if it is a good company. The top roles offered are service-based.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good if you are a foodie. But you can't go out of the hostel if you don't have a guardian nearby. They should come and pick you up. If you want to go out, Wi-Fi is available, but it will be lower than your internet, but Ethernet is fast enough.
Faculty: The faculty are good and friendly, helpful, and more likely experienced, but there are staff who are not experienced. Your fate even you can complain to the HOD to change the staff. They will see to that. Sem exams are easy if you study. A good pass percentage is given to the college.
Other: No campus crowds, no events, and everything in this college is food.
