The campus is located in the heart of Bangalore.
Placements: About 55-60 students were there in our class initially. As we are media-related students there are plenty of placements for us, but it purely depends on talent, marks are secondary because the course that we are doing needs creative thinking and management ability. Top recruitment companies such as designing, advertisement, and cinema-related brands are the top-most priority that they come into play. Due to covid, we were not able to proceed with the internship at our given time which was after our 4th semester, but we had an option to do internships after our 6th semester which was more logical because we would need more practical knowledge than online classes. Top roles offered are plenty, we can get into any industry or market which involves creative thinking and also jobs such as a photographer, videographer, graphic designer, starting up our own design company, also as foundation course we were offered science and commerce subjects as well such as digital marketing, stock market and so on.
Infrastructure: The college is very vast and the infrastructure is very well maintained and updated. There is plenty of kiosk and canteen for refreshments and skywalk to cross the road also can be used to go from degree college to the research block. We have a huge playground suitable for football and cricket and other sports as well Wi-Fi is available for every student and faculty member and can be used by using our registration number to log in. There is a medical center and a staff always available at the front. The food quality which the canteen distributes is very well cooked and hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. They are very well qualified. All the teachers in our department are dignified and the quality of teaching is great as well. The course curriculum is relevant to a certain extent but it also takes time and effort from our side and also to be industry-ready. Exams held are difficult but also self-written some are new types and some are to be studied which is great as it gives us the knowledge that we require and the pass percentage is 45%.
Other: Our batch is the 12th batch to exit from college. Our classmates are wonderful and each of them is very talented in their ways. They are also very helpful when needed.

Keeping up the legacy and pushing forth for excellence.
Placements: Placements are the best in this college. Companies flood in suiting each graduates needs. The choosing happens in a fair way. Every student is given the opportunity, and in the past years, seniors are placed in very good position with very good pay. There is a good relationship between the college and the companies, and the companies also feel happy.
Infrastructure: We have a sports complex, which is huge. There are highly equipped laboratories and technical rooms. It gives an on-field experience on the campus. We have sufficient classrooms and 24/7 water facility around the campus. Every pillar is a soothing pit stop.
Faculty: Every faculty in our campus is a professional in his/her respective fields. Hence, the curriculum prepares the student to face the world. It is formed and taught by high intellectuals, and they adjust to the nature and scope of every student. There is no student who goes unattended.
Other: Welcoming fest, Swagat; intra-collegiate, Prathibha; Gospel fest, Exodus; Kannada Sanga, Tamil Sangam, Kerala Samaga, north-east, Kodava Samaga fests; inter-collegiate, Visages are conducted in the college.

Come be a part of a rich, Josephite culture.
Placements: There was no one on the campus placements as such, but the students get one month time for the internship, and our teachers helped us a lot to get us in a well-renowned production house, ad agencies, graphic designing firms, news channels and newspapers. So, deserving students convert their internships into a job.
Infrastructure: The whole college is wi-fi enabled, and now the department has AV editing rooms, recording studios, green screen and 180-degree studio. The department also has wi-fi enabled classrooms for an uninterrupted experience. The projectors are installed in every classroom which encourages e-learning. I must say the quality of the labs and classrooms are up to the mark. We have sports department which encourages students to play and try different sports. We do have first-aid facilities, to handle minor injuries, other than that there are three good hospitals within 1 km radius for anything serious. The canteen is the place where everyone loves to meet and pull out gossips. Our college canteen is quite reasonable, and the food quality is above average, I can give 6 out of 10. The best part is that caterers keep changing every year. So, the students experience a change in taste and cuisine. I think according to the government rule, our college also offers mid-day meal coupons to financially unstable students on a monthly basis. The hostel rooms are clean and well maintained. The college offers dorms, double sharing and single sharing rooms to the students. The college also provides two meals and breakfast every day. I have never faced any infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, and almost all the teachers have cleared NET exam (UGC approved). The teaching quality is really good, and the teachers have worked in an industry before, and they bring in guest lectures to provide industry exposure. There are maximum 30 and minimum 20 students In a class. The curriculum is designed in such a way that we get proper idea about all the media-related fields, e.g. graphics designing, creative writing, photography, T. V production, web designing basic), etc.
Other: St. Joseph's College, Bangalore is a well-renowned college. It is 135 years old college. So, obviously, if the college is more 100 years old, it definitely has to have a culture. A culture to cherish and to be proud of. The campus is located in the heart of Bangalore, which gives an easy access and connectivity for students coming from different parts of Bangalore. The college does offer scholarships to financially unstable students. The student council of St. Joseph's college organises inter class fest PRATIBHA which raises the temperature in the campus, and you get to see the competitive atmosphere around the college.

Other: It is somewhat lacking in the visual communication department, but a wonderful place to go to college. It is very well located. The only thing is that they don't have car parking for students, and there aren't very many places to eat around the campus. Lab facilities are great, though, and teachers are extremely sympathetic towards students.

Other: St. Joseph's arts and science college is one of the top colleges in Bangalore. The college is best in the means of campus life and the students. It also polishes the students to handle pressure and criticism. Every student faces challenging activities right from the exams to extra-curricular activities. Campus recruitment was not provided for BVC (Bachelor of Visual Communication) whereas other courses had campus recruitment. The college premises always has some or the other activities taking place, it may be seminars or events or extracurricular activities. The college runs on a credit system which in one way forces the students to take part in extracurricular activities other than academics. The college is very strict about the student attendance. The parents are immediately notified if their son/daughter is absent for an hour or a day. The faculty is quiet friendly and caring. Some of the courses offered are worth the money.
