Join this college for lots of fun and to know what college life is really about.
Placements: The course that I've chosen is CZBT Chemistry Zoology Biotechnology. You don't get a job just after B.Sc. If you're lucky enough and have other skills like programming or have done internships then companies from another field might pick you. I'm not aware of the highest salary package offered. The lowest salary offered was Rs.15000 per month. Top recruiters are Wipro, Axis Bank, and Cognizant. Most students from our course wanted to pursue higher studies and finish their M.Sc.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college are pretty good. The size of the classroom depends on the number of students but each of them have a projector. Labs are also nice. Biotech labs are always open so that students can use equipment and perform research if they're interested. Library is the best part of the college. They are many tables so that students can come and finish their assignments. It's huge and there is a digital system of borrowing books. The food served in the canteen is very tasty. I'd like to mention that canteens are extremely clean and hygiene. There are several options to select from also.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are very good. They are extremely helpful at all times. Teaching is also very good and they are qualified. You can know it when they start teaching you about a topic. The course curriculum is relevant and covers all the important and necessary topics. Most importantly, they are practical-oriented. Semester exams are medium in difficulty. They are neither too easy nor too difficult. Most of the students pass. The pass percentage is 80%. The remaining 20% of students who have failed in 1 or more subjects continue to study.
Other: I chose this course because I loved biotechnology. I had an immense interest in the subject. The best thing about this course is that you get to actually use equipment that is available in labs. There are DNA samples, you can grow fungi, and all. But take the subject only if you're interested. If you take just like that it would seem more like a burden. Something that can be improved is the experiments. They could increase the practical knowledge instead of it just being theoretical. There are so many fests. The most famous ones are Pratibha and Visages. It is very good, nice competitions and lots of fun. Every second day, there is a fest conducted by some department. Scholarships are also available for those belonging to minority sections.

Best decision of my life .
Placements: Since after B.Sc. usually people go for M.Sc. to build on it, I'm not sure about the placements and it's not worth getting a job after B.Sc. unless there's a financial emergency but the placements here are decent is what I've heard. I would recommend not going for placements after B.Sc. .
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good with projectors, jammers are also installed to prevent students from using data inside the rooms but outside the classrooms people can use it. The labs are good with all the equipments you need. For our course we had PCR which wasn't available in most colleges .
Faculty: The curriculum for us felt like it was too much initially but after finishing the course I've realised that it does help when you're opting for M.Sc. Its advanced which will seem like a lot at first but the knowledge you gain here and the professors are really amazing.
Other: The crowd is amazing with mostly English speaking people. The fests are really good too especially the inter college fest that takes place ( visages).

I am satisfied with St. Joseph's College.
Placements: From our course, none of the students was placed. The placement opportunities specifically for natural science are very less. However, different companies which are not related to the natural science field visit here for recruitment of natural science students. Most of the students usually opt for post-graduation. But opportunities for professional course students are very high in placements.
Infrastructure: Our college has an inbuilt boys hostel only. They give good food, and the rooms are spacious. The food served in the canteen is pretty good and affordable. There's a mid-day meal scheme also for needy students. There is always a doctor on the campus, and the medical facilities are sufficient enough. Sports are an important aspect of our college. There is football turf, a basketball court, a table tennis platform, tennis and badminton court. There are a lot of sports teams, and competitions are always conducted. The infrastructure of our course was really good. The campus has free Wi-Fi, good laboratories, spacious and big classrooms and a huge library.
Faculty: The professors are highly qualified and experts in their subjects. They are very approachable and pleasant to students. The curriculum of our course was really helpful for the development of my personality as a student. It not only focuses on academics but also on character formation. The semester exams are not very difficult if you study or have knowledge of what has been taught. Scoring well in internals helps to build the overall score. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course to explore a wide area of study in the natural sciences. All the three majors of my B.Sc were interconnected somehow and let me learn about a lot of things in connection to each other. The best thing about our course would be it not only focuses on academics but also encourages you for extracurricular activities for extra credits that are essential to obtain the degree certificate. The course provides outreach programmes also every odd semester, which helps you to connect with the outer world as well. Our outreach programmes included traffic awareness, a cleanliness drive and a trip to a rural village called Solur where we spent some days with the locals and helped them in their work. It was a fun time.

St Joseph's, a place that moulds you into a multifaceted individual with profound skills.
Placements: Having done my B.Sc. in St Joseph's, it opened up a lot of opportunities in terms of internships in different companies like Anthem Bio sciences and other labs where students could get hands on experience with respect to how experiments are carried out in an industrial setup and the extrapolation of conduction of experiments from a laboratory to an industrial scale.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the college is very substantial and helpful. It provides a very holistic environment and promotes an all round development of students. The canteens are very varied and well suited for the diverse crowd. The campus is a wonderful place to study and gain exposure with regard to various attributes in academic as well as extracurricular fields.
Faculty: The university has an extremely qualified and highly experienced set of professors who make leaning a very comfortable and enjoyable process. In terms of teaching, the teachers put their best efforts and are very approachable and accommodating. They try and make the learning process very student friendly and reach out to students in a very healthy way.
Other: 2016 - 2019 Batch B.Sc. Biotechnology-
I always had an inclination towards biology and I was extremely fascinated with biotechnology during my higher secondary. The best thing about the course is the professors who handled it and the way the overall curriculum is framed and structured so as to provide the students with a progressive understanding of what "Biotechnology" encompasses. In terms of shortcomings there isn't anything that has to be altered or modified as the current curriculum is best suited for the Undergraduate level. Events are organized in a very appreciable way, involving students organizing activities and help improving their team management and negotiation skills. The crowd is very diverse and that makes students interact and get exposed to a multitude of cultural and regional attributes.
