The infrastructure of the college is very amazing, and it is a ragging free campus.

Placements: Around 905 of the students got placed in our department. The top companies for our course were Tata, Mahendra, and SN Steels Ltd. Facilities provided by both faculty members and college were good. We were advised to attend a lot of placement training programmes so that we achieve a lot. Almost 65% of the students got internships in the companies mentioned above.

It is a nice college if you explore and utilise all the amenities available.

Placements: Nowadays, placements in our college are good, but it was not that good during my graduation. They are conducting pool campus as well as they ask students to participate in pool drives conducted by other colleges. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Infoview, and many more offered placements to students.

Had a good college life and got some sweet memories.

Placements: Placement was good for my batch. Management called in many companies and agencies for placement. CSE and IT departments got many placement opportunities compared to the other departments. In my batch, many students were placed in core industries. But in core companies, they only offered a minimum salary package of 10k.

If you want to study in Kanyakumari itself, then go for it.

Placements: Since the college is in Kanyakumari, you cannot expect any placements because there are no companies in the region. But the students have got placed by several companies all around Tamilnadu and Kerala. Regarding the pay scale, you cannot expect anything higher than 20,000 around TN since you are a fresher.

An average college with a good name.

Placements: There are companies which come for placements and select the students. IT companies are the most that come, but only almost 50% of the selected students receive the call letter from the companies. Core companies offer a salary in the Rs 10,000 range and IT companies offer around 15,000-20,000. The college management does not allow the students with less than 75% marks or with arrears for internships or other extracurricular activities.

In some areas, it will make you think that you are still in school.

Placements: For seniors, there were less mechanical companies which came for placement. There were lot of IT related companies. But from this year, we are getting lot of placement related to our department. The college placement cell is trying hard to bring in more and more companies to make maximum students get placed. Also, they are tying up with lot of educational institutions to provide placement related programmes.

Life in SXCCE: the place where I evolved and found a career.

Placements: I am in my final year and my college has taken many measures to improve the number of students placed. Special training programs have been done from the past year(2016 pass out batch). For the last batch, about 60 students were placed. The packages offered were between 15000 and 30000. The students were placed in Mayfire, Zoho, Cognizant, Infosys and three more companies. Only half of the companies visited the campus for recruitment but due to tie-ups with other institutions, the college manage...

This is one of the best and most reputed institutions for engineering studies in the Kanyakumari district. It is affiliated to Anna university, Chennai. It is located at an easily accessible location. The faculty is approachable and friendly. The ambiance is good for studies and the library has access to various journals. This is one of the few institutions where we can get a true college life experience. The college is also keen on developing the personality of students by providing various op...

This is college is suited for those who are interested in having a narrowed focus on academics with a little exposure to extra-curricular activities. The college has good faculty who are very helpful and always take the best interest to inculcate the theoretical concepts firmly in the students. This is reflected through the students getting university ranks and publishing articles in bodies of repute such as IEEE. There is also an R&D Centre where the students can test their mettle in the practi...

I had a wonderful experience in my college life. I'm very lucky with professional engineers as my professors and with their guidance I had a gained my knowledge. The specialty is a well-equipped lab facility for practices and research. Friendly staff and a cool environmental area make me feel good.

XIBA is one of the best business school in south Tamil Nadu. Classes at XIBA are interactive in nature and are a healthy mix of formal lectures. XIBA has only four years’ Experience in Management Education but then, they show you 20 years of management education.

My college is good in lab facilities as far as the engineering colleges are concerned in nearby areas. Department-wise, it is average but the staff members try to maintain the balance, a few staff members are good and a few are yet to try. The campus facility is somewhat good but there is no proper ground for any sports. The college is helping the students grow professionally by having IEEE,IET,NCC,NSS etc for which the college spends the amount too. The bus facility here is also good. But, the...

Experience at St. Xavier's Catholic Engineering College.

Placements: According to the recent drop in job offers, placement at our college is average. The highest salary package offered is around 4 LPA to 6 LPA. The students are allowed to attend only one campus drive; if they get selected for that drive, they can't attend another drive. 50% of the students got internships from my department at many startup companies. Most of the common roles offered are junior-developed and trainee.
