Bachelor of Mass Media - Batch of 2026

Best college for mass communication in the whole Mumbai.
Placements: Placements are not offered directly; however, companies do come and do it on the basis of your interview, and internships are provided by the college faculty. Till now, in Mumbai, placements are far better at Usha Praveen Gandhi College in comparison with others.
Infrastructure: Svkm has the best infrastructure in Mumbai, the best canteen and the best food. I would recommend not opting for the canteen daily, as there is a big rush and the minimum time it takes is 40 minutes for your order. You should go outside and eat, as there are famous dosas, frankies and vada paos.
Faculty: Faculties are well equipped with knowledge and industry expertise; instead of giving only theoretical knowledge, they give an ample amount of practical knowledge and the workings of professional and corporate world knowledge. However, some subjects like HOM are not as beneficial but are important for your foundation .

A good college for BAMMC .
Placements: I don't know yet since I'm in FY but I have seen placement cell working and there many students for the interviews. But it has a good placement cell as one of the alumni had got placement in a sports company in a United Kingdom and one got a job of teacher in SVKM's DJ Sanghvi itself.
Infrastructure: First of all it's A+ grade college by NAAC and the classrooms are well furnished with AC and there is pure drinking water supply and there's also a huga library and the campus is the best as it is a campus for Mithibai Nm as well UPG and the building is also too good.
Faculty: Teachers are the best they guide us for exams as well as give real life values and learnings. And the exams are tough but it's for our good and the way they teach helps us to grow in the field. Teachers and the faculty are well known with their field and subjects as our teachers are the one who wrote the syllabus as well as writter books for publishers like vipul.

Think twice before taking admission here.
Placements: I didn't even get to sit for placements, and not by my own choice. I was denied by the college. We had no prior introduction to the placement cell, and hardly any company comes to the campus. If you are looking to take admission in UPG, you should assume that you will have to look for opportunities on your own after college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. We have classes on only two floors in an eight-floor building. 10 different colleges are run on the remaining floors. The classrooms are all air-conditioned, and we can take advantage of the same facilities that other SVKM colleges enjoy.
Faculty: BMM is probably the most flexible degree you will ever do. If you want your degree to dictate what you do in life, look somewhere else. The degree itself is a good introduction to the media world and rewires your brain to think like a media executive. Apart from that, don't expect much.
Other: The best part about the college has to be the people. Students from all over the world with varied interests, goals and skills come here. Even though I don't attribute my growth directly to the college, I can't deny the growth I have had in the three years because of the people I met and the exposure I got from them.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty and infrastructure of the college.
Placements: The placements were mainly related to the field of journalism. However, companies approaching were exceptional. Placements are based on the caliber of the student. For placements, we need to have a certain amount of percentage attendance to be maintained in order to get approved for placement facilities.
Infrastructure: From Wi-Fi access, library, AC classrooms, computer labs, Photography labs, canteen etc. Everything is more than enough. The quality of every single thing is excellent. There are medical services provided too and the canteen food is very hygienic too.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and qualified with excellent experience. Teaching quality is satisfactory and the mentors are there to look forward if there's any query related to anything. The course curriculum is relevant and the professors makes students industry ready for the real world.
Other: Events, fest, campus crowd, connectivity are the major and most amazing things about the college.

Fine infrastructure with limited courses, very economic and a good crowd.
Placements: We were around 120 students doing Bachelor of Mass Media which was the batch of 2018 (passing year). I've little idea about the number of students being placed because of the unavailability of the big companies. As per the record, there were hardly 3-4 companies who came in for the placements which were not only for one college but many that come under SVKM.
Infrastructure: Well-equipped with air conditioned library, computer labs and classrooms, Wi-Fi, huge canteen with ample food options and hygienic food. It has its own organised festivals but limited outside participation. Lacked sports activity with no in house facility. Well-equipped with modern day machines to help students practice and understand things better.
Faculty: Faculty is not as qualified as it must be, outside faculty helped us a lot from their industry experience. In house lacked practicality. The curriculum is outdated and need to be looked upon. Privatisation may help the institute keeping the fee economic.
Other: Lacks practical knowledge and very wide course. It can help students to choose if it's limited.

Hi Siddhant, It is difficult to say, as Xavier's cut-off varies every year, but it is somewhere around 75% always.
