BBA in Information Technology - Batch of 2027

Good enough for the blend of the course which we are studying and is rarely found.
Placements: I am in my first year, but my seniors got internships in good companies. This year, the graph has gone up. I feel till I pass my college, placements will be better. Teachers and companies which approach our college are also good.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are nice with projector facilities. Wi-Fi also works properly. The canteen has a large variety of food items as well. Our classrooms are well-equipped with charging points as well. Classes are very airy and spacious. I am loving it.
Faculty: Faculty members are top-notch. The experience of teaching and practical learning is what the college promotes the most. Our faculty members are not stressing out the children but teaching and building them with all the knowledge they have with their experience.
Other: I chose this course because I want to study the blend of management and IT, which is not available everywhere. Certainly, the college meets my expectations. This course will not only help one individual to study management but also the important programming and IT skills which are now very important today's world.

Symbiosis institute of Computer Studies and Research review.
Placements: The average salary for a fresh graduate is between 4 and 5 LPA, with the highest salary going to 19.9 LPA. The top recruiters are AMD, INTEL, TCS, etc. We were told that 93% of the students got a job placement. The top role would be getting to know about the IT industry.
Infrastructure: Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research is a standalone building with seven floors. We have WiFi, a canteen, a library, and a hostel for students. The food is okay. The only thing missing is a good campus, such as a ground or a large open space.
Faculty: The faculty at Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research are a mixed bag. Some of the teachers are helpful and friendly, while two out of the six teachers we have are rude and uncooperative. They just read through the PowerPoint slides and don't explain anything. The exams and semester felt easy, as it was our first time taking these exams. On the plus side, students who have an exam are given air-conditioned rooms.

College life is good while the future is doubtful.
Placements: Till now, approximately 75 students have been placed for jobs, including other courses too. Yes, the IT sector demands experience, but the college has to try its best to bring out the maximum companies it can (which seems moderate here). The highest package offered is 22.5 LPA, and the lowest is 3.44 LPA. DE Shaw is our top recruiter.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure need some improvement. No doubt the teachers are good but need some modifications in courses. Wi-Fi is okayish, labs are good, just need to improve a little. The library is top-class. Hostel facilities and mess food are good, security is good.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and knowledgeable, but there are always some exceptions, so don't mind that. Teachers do focus on the curriculum as it is given, but the courses need to improve. You can't just learn theory for a practical subject. You need to have a correct balance between theory and practical for the respective course, which does lack sometimes.

SICSR review- Absolutely satisfied.
Placements: The average package for placements is around 225,000. There has been an 8% increase in student placement from last year, according to Google. Companies like Deloitte, Cognizant, and Infosys are said to come for placements. Internships are provided by the college, or students can find them on their own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not as great as it was shown on the internet. A different campus was shown on the college website. The boys' hostel is a bit far from the college, but the girls' hostel is nearby. There is a tight curfew for hostel timings.
Faculty: The faculty are great and very knowledgeable, keep the class interactive, and are very helpful in solving students' doubts in and after class. The curriculum consists of 40% weight for internals and 60% weight for externals. Only term-end exams are conducted, which consist of 30-mark and 60-mark exams.
Other: I had researched online and come to a conclusion that this is a great college for BCA course.

Students here are from different places, but all are very nice.
Placements: From the 7th semester, students wre eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit, such as Amazon, Cisco, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, and others. For bio-related companies, Biocon and Reddy's Lab also visit. More than 40 companies visit in total. The highest salary package offered is 1.2 crore per annum, and the average salary package offered is 6 LPA - 8 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements is 40%. I am planning to start a business.
Infrastructure: Many fests are held every 2-3 months, along with workshops organised now and then. Many sessions on trending topics in the industry are also held every week or two. Library on campus is small, but we can find books on all subjects related to your course there. It is actually good. Classrooms are equipped with good technologies. Some extracurricular activities offered by the college include badminton, box cricket, chess, football, swimming, gym, Zumba, yoga, and more.
Faculty: For every 20 students, one staff member will be present, making the student-to-staff ratio 1:20. Faculty members are approachable and mostly friendly, except expect some. Faculty members are friendly, and students can ask him doubts about anything, they will answer or provide the solution the next day. For each semester, three CIAs will be conducted, and the best of two will be taken for internals.

Best Review of SICSR, Pune (BCA course).
Placements: I am a 2024 batch student of BCA. Around 65% of students got placed, with the highest salary package of 20 LPA, and the lowest salary package of 2.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA-6 LPA. Top recruiters included Deloitte, Infosys, etc. Around 65%-70% secured internships, with great roles in companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for our course is well-equipped, with modern classrooms, advanced labs, and access to updated resources. Library offers extensive material for research and study. Hostel facilities are comfortable, with clean rooms, Wi-Fi, and recreational areas, ensuring a conducive living environment for students.
Faculty: Faculty members of our course are very experienced and helpful. They teach in a way that is easy to understand. Course curriculum is well-planned and includes practical and theory. Exams are taken regularly and are not too tough if we study. They mostly check how well we understand the topics.
Other: Crowd is very low for BCA. We have another separate building of Symbiosis, which is in Model Colony, Pune. It is a 7-floor building, not a campus.

SICSR Pune Cutoff FAQs

Q:   Can I get into Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research Pune with 70%?

A:

Frankly speaking,70% is not a very good score in order to attain admission in Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research Pune as last year the cut off for general category was around 89 to 90 and even in 2021 the cut off was around 99 percentile for the general candidates.

Now getting a chance of seeking admission with 70% in SICSR totally depends on the caste category.since if you are a SC or ST candidate you can get into the institute easily but in case of general candidates there's no hopes, so I would suggest you to also apply for other institutes as well.

A:

Knowing to the level of difficulty, seeking admission in Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research Pune is very difficult.

Also the test conducted for the admission in the M.Sc. is not SNAP, it is OEE ( Online Entrance Exam), in which a candidate has to attempt MCQs and question answers, the exam is of total 100 marks and securing around 65 to 70 marks makes a candidate on a safer side.

As there's no clear data about the cut off of M.Sc. in the Symbiosis Pune, the assumed cut off for M.Sc. may be is also going to be around 80 to 85 percentage since the degree is at postgraduate level so the student must score 50 percent in Bachelor degree i.e., in B.Sc. at the undergraduate level.
